Great food. Great atmosphere. So much fun. The staff was friendly and the owners were there to watch over all.

Last night, my party and I had an extraordinary dining experience at Oakland Diner. The food was absolutely fantastic, and our waitress, Nicole, truly elevated our evening with her exceptional service. Not only was she incredibly sweet, but she also demonstrated unparalleled attentiveness throughout our meal. From promptly fulfilling our requests for extra napkins to ensuring our glasses were never empty, Nicole went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Thanks to her warm demeanor and impeccable service, our dinner was nothing short of amazing. We are already looking forward to returning, knowing that Nicole will make our next visit just as memorable. She is undoubtedly an asset to the team and deserves all the praise!!

I've been coming to the Oakland diner for years and it's always been an incredible experience. This, folks, is a gold-standard, authentic diner. The menu is enormous, yet everything is fresh and made to order.

Almost every time I go, I get a table right away. The food comes out quickly despite the place typically being packed.

They use thick cut, juicy bacon. Fresh mozzarella. Handmade burgers. Everything is consistently delicious. My absolute favorite (if you're in the mood for something decedent) is the french toast sand which (pictured in this review). It's the perfect marriage between salty and sweet and there's nothing quite like it. Yes, it's obscene. Yes, you MUST try it! Forget chicken and waffles, this sandwich is IT!

Also try the cheesecake. It's by far the best cheesecake I've ever had.

I have family in NJ and I always make time to visit the Oakland diner whenever I'm in town. I can't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful art painted inside and murals outside. Friendly people, excellent service, delicious desserts that they make themselves. They are adding an addition for more seating but are still open for excellent service, with plenty of parking. There is much delectable food to eat and art to see, you will want to return again and again. I'm hooked!

Diner is conveniently located in Oakland off 278 and 202. On weekends, it is a fairly busy location. I've been there several times, and my most recent visit was on Monday, so it wasn't so busy or that I had to wait to be seated. The platters was delicious, and the portion size were perfect. They also offer a fantastic dessert menu. When you combine that with an average pricing point, it's a terrific spot to dine and enjoy.

I went to a special event and after I stopped at this establishment for some good old fashioned breakfast. The decor, the service and food were incredible. I love the omelet, chocolate and grits I had. If you are in the area, its definitely worth stopping here.

Great spot! I got the bruschetta chicken sandwich and it was HUGE. It’s tasty fresh and you can tell it’s home made. Cute decorations and a nice vibe. Came all the way from Ramsey and it was worth the trip!

This old school diner kills it in terms of food and service.

Been here twice with family for a variety of breakfast and lunch. Their fries (regular and sweet potato) are great, along with the onion rings and coleslaw / pickles.

I recommend their thick cut bacon (you can get it in the Committed Pig sandwich, and the burgers). The club sandwich is also great as is the pancakes.

Servers are very friendly and attentive.

One of the best Diners in the area. Everything is fresh and delicious. The restaurant has very nice decorations, very friendly staff and good prices. For sure will always go back to this amazing place.

My wife and I love this place! It has become one of our regular spots. I'm a creature of habit and always get an omelette and the tri valley oatmeal. So delicious! Great service, they always remember my order, and great family friendly people.

Food has always been very good. Service is great, the waitress makes sure you are satisfied with the food. Strawberry cheesecake is amazing!

This is one of the best diners in the area! I love the interior design, service is good, menu has extensive choices, food is tasty ! They do have almond milk ! This diner is very busy, parking is always full ! Get there early !

The Oakland Diner is amazing and I understand why it is called the "OD". Delicious food, great atmosphere, there is something for everyone. Amazing service and desserts that will have you amazed. Highly recommended. Their Cheesecake is everything!!!!

My husband had tacos and I had an egg omelet with avocado and Gouda cheese in it and roasted vegetables on the side. Very good. They have all gluten-free breads pancakes and wraps

Very good service and huge variety of choices. I ordered the Burrata Sandwich, half was big enough to feed me, the curly fries were AMAZING! Crunchy & Tender at the same time. Place is covid safe & clean. Will definitely go back.

Great place to eat. Been going to this diner since I was knee high. It's had different names, and different owners, but the food is always awesome. Staff very friendly!!!
