Rockne's Restaurants

My mom and I stopped by Rockne's for lunch. This was the first time we ever dined here. Before we venture to any new establishment, I typically read the Google reviews, as they always provide good insight from previous patrons.
Upon walking into the restaurant, the decor made me think of Cheers (the show from the 80s). There is beautiful wood paneling and neat memorabilia that fill the walls. The bathrooms are located right off the entryway and are very clean, by the way. We were promptly seated after our arrival. Our waitress was Sarah; she was quick to take our drink order and made our meal choices simple by making some suggestions. My mom and I started with a couple of side salads and an order of sauerkraut balls for an appetizer. We did not wait very long for this to arrive. The salads were massive and plentiful. I ordered balsamic dressing with mine, and Holy cow, was it amazing!! The sauerkraut balls were some of the best we've had. The honey mustard dressing was the perfect complement for them! Our main course arrived at great time, as we had just finished up with our appetizers. My mom ordered the Terminator sub, and I had the Jumbo Fajita Plate. Both dishes were well portioned. So much that we had lots of leftovers! My mom loved her sandwich and said it was not greasy and had great flavor. My fajitas were perfect! The chicken was very tender and came with amazing flavor, too. It was not salty, spicy, or bland - it was just right. Sarah came by quite often to check on us and replenish our beverages. We really liked talking to her and appreciated her kindness and patience. She is such a lovely gal!!
In all, we left extremely satisfied with this place and would highly recommend it. It's a cool atmosphere that was very clean and tastefully decorated. I found the floors to be really unique! There is plenty of parking, too.
We can't wait to come back!!

My god they're so nice. I don't eat out because I can never get just plain veggies with no oil, so I asked on their Facebook if they'd do that and not only did they reply immediately but they asked which location I'd go to and let me know exactly what to order. Upon going, I was served by cierra and she was absolutely amazing. Literally the sweetest girl. Even the two hosts were extremely nice. The interior was immaculate. Just the vibe itself legit makes me want to work there too. Such a great, accommodating crew.

Excellent food and service, very accommodating for a large party. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

Plenty of free parking around the building and in back.

I had the southwest salad and it was great with the exception of the chips. I am just used to corn tortilla chips. Our server was attentive enough, as we were having personal conversatio and she gave us our privacy but made sure we had what we needed.

Real nice waitress, and everyone there is nice.

Great place to eat in or carry out. Staff and food is amazing. The selection on the menu has something for everyone.

Katie is absolutely the BEST!!!!! She’s an amazing bartender, and always is a treat to see and work with. She’s literally an 11 out of 5 stars.

I love the Slovakia salad and chicken dumpling soup, but everything I have ever had there is really good. Their fries are better than fair fries! I've been going to other Rocknes since the early 90's and they are consistently good!

Excellent ruben sandwiches and fried shrimp. Generous portions at reasonable prices!

We've been coming here for a lot of years. We've never had a bad meal or a bad experience here. The staff are wonderful, the food is great, the value for your dollar is good and it's just a nice place to have a drink and break bread with your friends.

I like this location best, the inside of the restaurant is clean and has a beautiful structure that I think is charming. I was immediately greeted by a happy smiling face hostess named Izzy. I must say she is a very sweet young lady and works hard going the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Her sincerity shows and I just love to see passion at work. I love the uniforms the lady's wear and think they give a unique flavor to the venue. My server Addison was knowledgeable and helpful when ordering as well as friendly and attentive. I must say i always loved rockneys potato soup and I wish they would bring it back, it's the closest o my mother I've ever had, meaning the best !!! I had the salmon dinner with broccoli and rice pilaf and it was amazing, love the sauce they use. Will visit again soon. Thank you

Always a great place to eat, drink , and enjoy yourself. Just mad they took the wings-drums and fries 🍟 platter off the menu though 😒. But change is good and so is the rest of the food. So Rockne's is still a fav 😍 💜

Just great! Large place east to get seated , Great menu so many options, foods always great!! And service is surprisingly good ! Must have a great manger and trainer ! Great job ! We love coming here with out whole family! Thanks !

I often pick up lunch from this location when I’m working close by. I have to say the staff are very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is always clean. Restrooms are tidy and well maintained. Also I always get the same thing but this time did not withhold the feta. To my surprise the person taking the order verified I indeed did not want to take off the feta. When picking up my order, the Bartender is always very pleasant while he double checks the order.
It is always very refreshing to encounter any of the staff here!

We don't have a Rockne's near us so when we met family in Fairlawn we suggested it. The portions were huge and I like that the side dishes, such as fries, were optional.
My husband and I had our first date at Rockney's in Akron over 25 years ago so it is a bit nostalgic for us. ❤

It's not like it's the greatest restaurant in the world but it's always really good and I think Rockne's is one of the only restaurants I've ever been to that has never gotten my order wrong. The food is quality. The service is quality. The max the knife is the best burger ever 😅

We had a birthday party for my mom! Service was great and the food was excellent! Thank you Rockne's for making my mom's special day extra special 💕
