Giant Eagle Supermarket

My girlfriend and I were looking around online for new sushi options in our area. I came across some reviews for Giant Eagle. This took me by surprise because I've been shopping at Giant Eagle my entire life in South Akron. Sadly my store does not have sushi 😭. I drove across town to West Akron and it was WELL worth the drive! Honestly some of the best sushi I've had to date. The girl working behind the counter was super nice to us and the preparation was amazing! Consider giving her a raise because I would like to continue driving across town to get this quality on a regular basis 👌

Like this Giant Eagles alot. This store is always clean and orderly , fresh fruits and vegetables.. I really like there pharmacy. Shelves are always stock to the fullest. Freezer dairy or any food always stock to the fullest. I always enjoy shopping here at this location

Lynn in customer service was amazing today. She went above and beyond, she’s a “keeper”.

Terrie the manager is the best!! I believe she is the manager of the food area, and I asked her what time they discount their premade meals that are on their last day to be sold. They weren’t yet discounted yet, a she went out of her way to take what I wanted a threw the discount on there for me. They were short staffed so I very much appreciated her kind attitude an help.

I ordered a cake online and accidentally made the pickup date a week after I had intended. I realized this the day I needed the cake, so I called the bakery. The cake decorator agreed to do it the same day! The person I spoke to was so kind and understanding. Both of these bakers saved me from having to go to plan B on the cake. It turned out beautifully and everyone loved it. Thanks to the bakery team for making our friend’s birthday special!

Such a pleasure to grocery shop here. Fresh veggies from produce and salmon from meat section. Had a great smile at the deli. Joe and Mill was informative on their section. They was polite, made me smile in when I wasn’t feeling so good. Love the vibe of the employees. Got my hot pepper cheeses and maple ham. Thanks for the laugh and smile. Always great service at this location

Giant Eagle had the NA beer we were looking for. Otherwise, pretty routine.

My favorite supermarket to go to. They always have great sales. So much to choose from. It's always clean. The staff is super friendly. Love the fact that they have special shopping carts for car seats.

The Sushi is very fresh! The store has a very nice produce area and the restrooms were clean.

I love shopping there. Produce is fresh and larger selection of everything. A very nice gentleman behind the counter willing to cut your lunch meat or cheese. As most Giant Eagles, this store has a wide array of products that are well organized. The beer section is very well done, with signs explaining what a lager and an ale is, geared toward beer beginners as most shoppers are. The personnel are friendly and helpful. Great place and the prices aren't too bad if you look for the deals.

Giant Eagle has always been one of my favorite grocery stores. The remodeling at the Fairlawn location is phenomenal.

The store is incredibly bright, clean, and well stocked. The staff I have had contact with were all friendly and knowledgeable. The manager even took the time to show me where the tomato paste was located!

I highly recommend this location. The addition of new organic, natural and specialty products will keep me shopping there for many years to come.

Zero stars for the bakery's chicken scratch writing on birthday cakes. I've ordered birthday cakes here many times over the years and was always pleased with how they were decorated and how the writing looked...until recently.

The last cake I ordered was a mess. The icing was cracked in places, the different colors of icing were smeared, and the writing was worse than my own.

Instead of settling, I picked out a beautiful pre-decorated cake that was sitting on display. Good God in heaven. They messed-up that one too. The writing was just as horrible on that cake as it was on the cake I ordered.

Well, the party was waiting on me to bring the cake and the rest of the birthday goodies, so I bought it. Because I couldn't convince the bakery that the writing warranted a discount I wound up paying full price for the scribble and the cake.

The bright side is that the cake was a hit. Everyone got a good laugh about the scribble. And mostly because Giant Eagle's cakes are (as always) famously delicious.

I absolutely love their deli section. I can always find soup, salad or sandwiches on sale, and the food is always FRESH. It's wonderful if you're lazy like I am, I don't always feel like cooking. Thanks to Giant Eagle, I don't have to. 😄

The Meat department is wonderful. Lance And Dave and Tommy are awesome.

Always our go-to grocery store. Always clean. Great selection storewide. Fuel perks program is s plus, and saves us a ton when we've reached 20% off out entire shopping trip.
