This was my first time to the medical facility and I can honestly say it was the best experience I have had going to the doctor. I was able to see my doctor and have all my tests he ordered in one day without any waiting. Dr. Matthew Morgan is wonderful and is my new primary doctor. He was so professional and caring to all my concerns. I am so happy I was recommended to him.

When I received a dog bite to the face , it was a very stressful situation. The doctor and nurses at the St. Bernard Parish Hospital were caring, respectful, and efficient. They kept my husband and I in a separate waiting area with some other people that weren’t infectious to keep us from getting sick with Covid or flu. I hope to not need their services again, but if I do, this is surely where I would go! Every person I encountered from the moment I stepped in the ED made me feel like I was important, cared for, and valued. There is something special about the people of St. Bernard. Even though I don’t live there anymore, I would always make the time to go back to where I know I will be treated well. Kudos to a job well done!

I have been living in St Bernard a very long time. I can go back as far as the 1960’s. The original hospital was next to the Chalmette courthouse. It was not much, and not very big, provided basic
Services until they could move you somewhere else. St Bernard is growing again and the need was there for a new hospital. Unfortunately I have used it twice. Both times I was given excellent treatment. One was staying over a few days and had a single room for myself. When comparing to New Orleans, Jefferson, and others I am positive St Bernard Hospital is the best. I had a compound fracture on my right leg and was taken to lmc without given a choice. It was terrible and really poor attention. Do not go there.

This has always been my favorite hospital. The care since Ochsner took over is above board and very caring, respectful, and informed. The Physicians attached to this hospital are Ochsner Physicians, so they are intelligent, well-educated, and at the same time respectful and concerned with your well-being.

I'm impressed with this place. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The place is clean and feels modern. The staff that did my procedure Monday went above and beyond for me. I normally aim to be one of my medical teams less stressful patients but on this day, I was having a panic attack and my manners weren't exactly front and center. I was unfairly curt with people who were only trying to help. Despite that, they were incredibly kind and helped me with my fears over the procedure. No one was pushing me or trying to minimize my feelings. They helped me through the panic attack. We got the test done and I was an emotional wreck. I didn't get to thank them for all their support. I want them and others to know that there's some really wonderful medical professionals working here. I would choose to come back here for any future procedures and I think I'd be a lot less anxious knowing that if I did reach that point, I would be treated as a person and not an inconvenience to their schedule (which is a feeling I've gotten from some other hospitals.)
Good people.

Their whole staff is super friendly they make the experience of having to go to the hospital less anxious. From Xrays to ER dept. which was quick, kind and courteous (wasn't injured too bad, thankfully), and to small procedure I had done, the nurses made me feel so comfortable like they actually care that I was nervous. The doctors and even the staff who work at check-in and other counters, all trained very well and attentive and professional and intelligent. Anyone would hope they don't have to visit a hospital at all or often or ever again.. I think they realize this and try their best to make everything as pleasant as possible.

I was skeptical about going here after I read about the wait time. I'm glad I came to this hospital. Everyone from the receptionist desk, nurses, and doctor were excellent. I didn't wait long at all. I was pulled to the back for treatment as soon as I was registered.

Garrett was my nurse for this visit! He really took awesome care of me from the moment I walked into the back of the ER! He has a warm and welcoming personality. It’s currently 1:44 am and I’m writing this review, That goes to show how extremely pleased I was with this ER visit. Thank you again for the amazing hospitality while getting my medical issue treated Garrett!

I went to the ER last night with lots of pain and bleeding due to an incomplete miscarriage. It was a very short wait before being brought into a room. The nurses and doctor and imaging staff were so kind and encouraging, and joked around with me (which I greatly appreciate because I use humor to help myself feel better). They did all they could for me there, including helping me manage my pain and doing tests and ultrasounds. Eventually I had to be transferred to another location to receive treatment that wasn’t available there, but the transfer process was handled with care. I honestly hated to leave because I felt safe and well cared for. But the transfer was necessary and I got the exams and care that I needed before being released. Very thankful to the staff for how they handled my emotionally delicate state and for taking the time to explain things and answer all my questions. Going to the ER sucks but this was by far my best ER experience.

I went to the ER thinking i may be having a stroke so was seen right away. The staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed even thought it was a stressful event. They did a CT and MRI to make sure everything was OK. I would come here every time without any second thoughts! Great place!

We went into the ER for a bad burn from hot wax exploding on my mothers hand. She has second degree burns. Tammy in the ER took EXCELLENT care of my mother, she has an amazing personality, and a beautiful bedside manner! Tammy is what striving for excellence and great care looks like by going above and beyond for her patients! Please hire more caring, humble, and personable nurses like Tammy and your hospital scores/metrics will increase tremendously! She’s an amazing chick! ❤

I've been employed at St. Bernard Parish Hospital for three years and I can honestly say that being a resident of St. Bernard Parish, this place feels like home. I've worked in the medical offices building primarily with brief stints in the hospital portion of the facility and everywhere I go people greet me with a smile and a "how are you?" Having known many of the nurses and doctors both professionally and personally, I can say that your care is of the utmost importance to them. Nothing gives them more pleasure than seeing a patient that's been admitted to our hospital through our emergency department, get discharged in a timely manner with their issues resolved. I will continue to work here and help the people of St. Bernard Parish as long as I can.

I had my first visit at SBPH in October of 2020 for weight loss surgery consultation. From the moment I walked through the doors everyone was friendly, helpful and happy! From the lady taking my temperature to the front desk scheduler to the nurse to the doctor everyone was so professional and friendly. Since my initial visit I have switched over my PCP, Gyno + Diabetes doctor to SBPH! The care I have received has been amazing. I live on the Northshore, however the small drive is totally worth it. I have raved so much about my experience that my dad also switched his PCP to SBPH! 10/10 would recommend.

I was rushed to St. Bernard Parish Hospital to ER. It was later diagnosed as a stroke. The staff was impeccable. After having to be admitted, the care and attention was superb. Should another emergency occur, I will definitely choose St. Bernard Parish Hospital
