Trout skin was crispy and buttery delicious. The spätzle was slightly crunchy and also very delicious. I’ve had better trout flesh before; perhaps this was frozen at some point?

Justin, our server, was attentive and got all the special orders right.

Nice selection of items...A bit pricey but you don't have many options on Highway 80...Great views of Mt.Mitchell and the golf course...Full bar.

Food was great! friendly wait staff and couldn't have been any better. Best Schnitzel that I've had, very authentic German food. Price a bit higher, but the location was perfect. Very good menu, my wife and I loved it. Big portions, you won't be disappointed. Very close to Mt. Mitchell and sits directly on the local golf course.

This is a lovely little bar and restaurant. Our family stopped in just after 6:30 on a Saturday, and we had ample choices of indoor and outdoor seating. The Bavarian themed interior is cozy and clean, while the outdoor balcony offers a fantastic view of the pristine Mt. Mitchell Golf Course. The scenery is made especially beautiful as the sun drifts behind the Southern Appalachians.
J & J's menu features homemade fare and a wide bottled beer and wine selection as well as select drafts and cocktails. Our server Anna was friendly, attentive, and prepared to make recommendations for the table. I chose the paprika wiener schnitzel for an entree, which was tender, succulent, and crispy. For dessert, Anna recommended a homemade white velvet cake which was perfectly balanced in taste and texture when paired with a cup of decaf coffee.

In town on vacation. We were staying next door so we decided to try this place out. Great burgers and our server, Justin, was awesome. So great we went the second night we were in town also. Pleasantly surprised to have Justin as our server again. The restaurant was a bit busy and he was the only server on bit didn't skip a beat. Definitely worth a stop and Justin will take great care of you!

Really good salad with chicken, it came with plenty of chicken. Also, the bratwurst with sauerkraut was very good!! Friendly waiters and seems like it'd have nice views during the day with all the windows. I went at nighttime, though. They do have at least one TV by the bar. Bathroom was clean.

Yummy Bavarian cuisine. We had the paprika schnitzel with spaetzle and it was amazing. We did not eat there but got takeout and took it to our cabin at Alfreds next door. Wish I had taken a photo but it smelled so food we tore into it. Highly recommend! We will go back before we leave town

What a pleasant surprise this restaurant is, Great food, service, atmosphere. I wish we lived nearby so we could go more often, definitely a place to go for dinner and drinks in a family run place that shows pride in what they are doing.

Had a great meal with stunning Mountain views from the outdoor deck. Kid friendly. Covid friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the Mt Mitchell area.

Unfortunately they are permanently closed, but Julie gave my wife and i some apps for stopping by so we didn’t leave hungry! I applaud them for all they have done, and regret they have joined so many other small businesses in the wasteland of what was….I wish Julie all the best. She deserves it!

Eat there every year after golf at Mt. Mitchell. Owners are wonderful. Food never disappoints. Viener schnitzel is outstanding

I've been to every restaurant around mount Mitchell and this is by far the best. Muh Muh better food than the mount Mitchell golf club, better prices and bigger portions too. Really friendly staff and quick service

Fantastic place to kick back and enjoy a meal after a day of hiking or golf. Located right on the golf course and just down the road from Black Mountain campground.

I have never found one piece of wilted lettuce in the chicken salads served here. I've actually never had a dish that wasn't amazing.

The ONLY fine dining in Burnsville area. Highly recommend the Albert's shrimp wrapped in bacon and grilled.

We always have dinner here every time we are in the area. Great food, beautiful view and wonderful staff.
