Really happy I took my neighbors recommendation! I have been looking for a mechanic since, Harvey, the only one I trusted was taken from us a few years back. But this shop is a very knowledgeable, no b.s., quick mechanic shop. I will definitely be bugging them in the future for whatever comes up that I can't handle myself. So If your worried about the normal b.s. that usually goes along with taking a vehicle in, run by True Auto next to whataburger, you'll be glad you did. Well, I was anyway.

True Auto has been great for us. Shae has been a pleasure to work with. He's very professional and gets the job done quickly. I highly recommend them.

Took a car there many years ago when I met the owner David and the service and value was great. Several years passed before I needed a mechanic on anything again and I met Shae Wertz this time. Most of the minor stuff and even some fairly major things I take care of myself but this time I needed an A/C system replacement and front end work (Ball Joints, Control Arms, etc.) neither job being something I wanted to deal with so I took it to True Auto. Shae was great ... estimated the cost and time and came in spot on with both. Very satisfied with the work they did and since I am quite knowledgeable about it know that what they charged was very reasonable for the time and parts involved. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for honest service at reasonable prices and delivery to the stated schedule.

My AC went out and I was desperate to not be driving around in what felt like an air fryer! A franchise shop quoted me over $4k to replace my AC. Thankfully I found True auto. Not only was their estimate over a thousand less than the other shop for the same service, the final price ended up being less than half of the other quote! I was blown away. Never in my life have I approved an estimate on auto repair and had the total be several hundred less! And my car was ready ahead of schedule and blowing icy cold. Wish I had found them sooner.

New to Texas, I needed a new mechanic for my classic Cadillac so I literally drove around looking for one. The first few gave what I thought were very high estimates. Lucky for me, I found True Auto Sales & Service, where the quote was half that of the others. David and Carmen were outstanding people I knew I could trust. The work done by Shea made my ride smoother than it’s ever been. Without hesitation, I would recommend this place for its fair prices and quality work!

True Auto is a great place. I called them and made an appointment because my brakes were making noisy. David took a ride with me to listen to what I was hearing and then was transparent and honest with the work I needed to fix the issue. He was very thorough and I am so happy to find a reliable, honest and transparent auto repair shop. I love supporting local small businesses. I highly recommend them.

BEST AUTO SHOP AROUND!

I’ve been going to true auto for a while now and these guys are amazing ! Jose is very reasonable with their prices and will tell you what your options are. Great guy! Fantastic technicians there as well! Dustin, ( a technician that works there) has always been a hardworking and honest man, and he’ll get any problems you have with your vehicle out of the way. True auto is a company that never lets you down. I’ve gone to several other places and they either make things worse or couldn’t do anything to fix it at all. But with true auto? I can always count on them. I highly recommend this place for everyone. Thank you for your work True Auto.

The guys at true auto are extremely knowledgeable and customer friendly. They helped me with some diagnostics work on my truck and went above and beyond with information and service. This is now my go to mechanic and they should be yours as well. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle here the next time you need something. I can’t say enough good things about finding a trustworthy, customer friendly, and very capable mechanic.

I cannot recommend this place enough!!! They are super honest, straightforward and have amazing prices especially for the service received. I will be back to get my brakes done in a couple weeks!

I've lived in Cedar Park since 1999 and have used Dave at True Auto numerous times for my vehicles. Dave and his team each time that I have used them have done what I have asked them to do, on time, honest, and is very competitive in his charges. I trust him to do a good job and am confident that he is not taking advantage of me by doing things that do not require any repair. I have recommended his company to several of my friends and am confident of his service or I would not do so.

Just this week, I took a carburetor to him for overhaul and he said it would be Wednesday before he would be able to get to it. He called me about 4 pm that afternoon and told me to come and get it. He said, after taking it apart that it did not need near the work that he thought it would need, repaired a couple of things, made a few adjustments and charged me for only what he did. I was impressed with that. The man is honest, and I like that and I trust him.

I recently had a complete brake job done on our Ford Explorer Sport. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Everyone I met was polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and their concern for quality of workmanship was evident. Their labor rates were very competitive and markup on parts low. Overall I rate them as both fair and honest.

I am new to the area and having car issues is one of my biggest dislikes there is. I got a referral from a gentleman in line at Walgreens my tail lights were out and I had no idea where to go. He said True Car he has been going there for 22 years and just bought a car for his daughter from them as they are sales and service. I walked in with no appointment and all were so gracious, polite and took care of me at that moment I had a screw that was stripped so a little more than just changing bulbs. Very nice people, fair and honest. I will be using them for any needs I have with my car and will recommend them all that I know.

I came to Dave on a recommendation from a friend, I had been quoted over $1200 for my engine mounts and I was just going to have my steering wheel vibration done, but I asked on the off chance and Dave quoted a very reasonable price, so I said go ahead, The work was done, the brakes worked great, the car was again stable and not creaking, when I checked how much it would be over the phone, I was informed that since after examination I only need 2 out of the 4 replaced, they would only charge me half, which is now less than a 1/4 of my original quote. I am very happy with Dave he is very knowledgeable and is very happy to share his tips in keeping your car running well. I will not go anywhere else for any servicing of our 3 family vehicles. I also purchased one of his used cars for my son and we love it, it was a great deal, Dave gave it the once over to make sure all was well. I have 2 more sons, and guess where they will be getting their cars from. All the staff are professional but very friendly. I have to add I live in Brushy Creek Round Rock.

I accidently discover them, wanted to replace exhaust of my WRX. Mechanic was able to do it fastest and also give me lift for free. These guys are humble, honest and want to help you.

Great experience, Shae fixed my vehicle promptly and efficiently even with the obstacle of sourcing the parts from multiple locations. They talked me through every step of the way and I was never left asking any questions because everything was laid out, very up front and honest. These guys are the only mechanic I would recommend.

David & Carmen helped me sell my Uncle's little red Smart Car recently. It took a while but David was persistent & determined to find a buyer & he did in Pennsylvania. After dealing with the high-pressure, sigh-this-blank-document, terrible buying experience at a dealership, I called up True Auto and told them what I was looking for, price range, etc. Dave is very experienced and selective and found a few cars that met our request with good mechanics, and right price. Absolutely awesome guys to do business with. I recently bought a lemon and they have been nothing but helpful in my numerous visits, never nickel and diming me. They are extremely great guys who I have nothing but positive things to say about them. They even gave me a lug nut wrench and jack free of charge when I first bought the car. (Needless to say, it has come in handy!) So glad they are my mechanics and they are the only people I trust with my cars. I have recommended them to numerous people on numerous occasions.
