Club Car Restaurant & Lounge-Ankeny

Great place for a business lunch in Ankeny! Service and food were both excellent. The Club Car salads are always my favorite lunch item!
Would recommend asking for a table in the front on the restaurant due to the acoustics in the back.

Excellent meal, calamari was top notch! Good sized portions. It was a little bright in the dining room.

If you were grumpy during The Club Car Restaurant & Lounge soft opening in Ankeny, it’s time to go back and give them another try! Pictured: Boursin mushrooms, chipotle chicken flatbread and Mac n cheese with chicken. Everything was amazing. Food came out hot and timely. Service was great. We are so lucky to have this addition in Ankeny!

We could have been fed garbage food here and I would still leave an amazing review all because of Brent. He was the best waiter we’ve had in a very long time!

We did have 3 appetizers, barbacoa nachos, calamari and onion rings. Our fav was the calamari but the others would good to.

Had the pleasure of visiting Club Car's newest location in Ankeny twice last week and absolutely enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service! The lunch menu was huge, with tons of options and everything we ordered on both visits was awesome. Highly recommend, this is a great addition to the North Ankeny community!

Walked in at 6:15 on a Saturday night; no reservation. Immediately greeted by the host and seated. Seating was readily available. Quick response from the waitress who was quite pleasant. Put in a drink order and an order of the Boursin stuffed mushrooms. Drinks were delivered quickly. We placed our order for the Steak de Burgo and the wife ordered the surf-n-turf with the de Burgo sauce added. The mushrooms were delivered shortly after. They were delicious. Served covered in an herby butter/wine sauce and a mini loaf of bread. I feel they could have used a little more Boursin. After devouring all of it, the waitress promptly removed the plate and assured us our meals would arrive soon. Meals arrived momentarily. They were hot fresh and appeared delicious. I am a self-admitted de Burgo snob and only prefer certain styles. While I knew this was not my go-to style, I ordered it anyway. The sauce was good, just not my favorite. It could have used some more garlic, but still not bad. However, the meat is where it's at! I was served two 4 oz. filet medallions. I NEVER used a knife. I was able to eat it all with a fork. The meat was so tender and quite flavorful, even without the sauce. The wife ate her shrimp and took her steak to go as she doesn't usually eat much. I'm sure she had a second great meal the next day. Overall, great food, great service and without a pretentious atmosphere. Tab for app, two entrees and three drinks came in just under $100 before tip. I was quite pleased and we will be back.

Who knew how good boursin cheese is!! The mushrooms filled with boursin cheese were amazing!!! I had the Charleston shrimp over rice and it was tasty. My husband had the steak deburgo and he shared a tiny little bit with me! ;) It was delicious 😋! Definitely a must try. A good environment, very friendly staff, and the menu has a variety of choices!

Loved it! Been there a couple times and going again this week. Once the food had a little issue. But they took it back very quickly and easily and it was all fixed. Tasted better than priced.

Absolutely love this place! They have a huge selection on their gluten free menu & the service is always friendly & quick. Good drink menu too!

I ate here last night and the food and service was wonderful! The calimari was cooked perfectly and not rubbery, same with the shrimp skewer. The Steak De Burgo was cooked a perfect medium rare and was served with broccolini. Our server was attentive. It was a great experience and a wonderful addition to the Ankeny dining scene.

Food was delicious, Jr was my server and he greeted me made sure I was always up to date with drinks which makes me happy!

Everything about this place was perfect!! Our server Brandy was awesome 👏🏼

Mulberry Mule was excellent. Beef stroganoff was pretty good. Service was great.
