Old Luxemburg Inn

I had a wonderful dinner. My steak was cooked perfectly. The potato and salad were great too. This is my favorite place to go. The host was very friendly and stopped to check on our meal and chat briefly and the waitress kept my glass full and stopped by too see if we needed anything just the right amount of times.

It's a great place to go if you have a little bit if extra spending money but in the mood for a great steak. I got the filet and it was cooked perfectly and the baked potato with the best chive cheese I've ever had. The owner is a very very friendly person who will go out of their way to make sure that every customer is satisfied.

Food was delicious and service was beyond reproach. Owner and son were overly accommodating. Great experience for a one night pass through, and I rarely give feedback. So you know it was more than good.

Such a fantastic place! Food was phenomenal, service was excellent. The owner makes time to greet everyone in the place, and check in on you to make sure everything is to your liking... Highly recommended.

Steaks are cooked correctly to order. Seafood is excellent. Loved the loaded baked potatoe. Service, outstanding. I know it sounds like I work there but... Damn it's good. Just don't get the spaghetti.

This is an old city experience that reminded me of neighborhoods in old east coast cities like Boston or Philadelphia. It's a quiant neighborhood bar and restaurant with the atmosphere of a 90 year old place that hasn't changed very much. Loved it. The steak was delicious, my husband had the filet and I had the NY strip, both were perfect.

I took my 2 granddaughters out and we chose Old Lux. We all had ribeyes and all the sides. The steaks were medium rare, medium well and well done, they were all perfect. Dinner was great and the service was great. Did not have to wait for a seat in which the owner seated us. I love the Ole Lux always have and will be going back. I posted some of the food.

The food and service was fantastic! It was our first time and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a great first experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff, Payne and Dennis are good hosts. Great homemade sauces. The most amazing baked potato I’ve experienced with they homemade garlic sauce. Friendly atmosphere. Good portions. The NY steak I orded was a good price and delicious. The fried cauliflower sent me back to my childhood.

This is a great "old" joint with great steaks! The baked potato with Chive cheese was delicious. We had never had that topping before, and we loved it. The staff & owner are fantastic & fun! They are definitely part of why this place is great!

Best fried catfish i ever had. Heard there isnt a bad thing on the menu. Soneone said we should order the steak and lobster. Great place. Heard its been around for a very long time. I know why after the meal I had tonight.

It is one of the best places in Springfield for steak. I've been here many times and never experienced an issue with my meal. The food is always cooked exactly as ordered, and the portion sizes are generous. The service is always top-notch! Dennis regularly checks on the tables and makes each guest feel like family. The atmosphere is dated but in the best, most cozy way possible. This place will remain my go-to for a nice night and dinner out.

We were one of 2 parties in the back room with 20+ people each. The waitress did an incredible job! She got drinks out to the right people, salads and food! The food was delicious as always. The whole staff was awesome! Waitress paid special attention to our birthday girl and she was so pleased. It was an excellent experience and of course we'll be back. Many more times!

It's like stepping back in time to an era where it wasn't just grabbing a bite to eat but instead it was going out to dinner. It was having an experience where table service meant someone was there to truly take care of you and knowing you were not going to have to ask for another drink because it was already there at the table when you needed it. It was about having white linen tablecloths and real cloth napkins and real heavyweight silverware. It was about having your steak cooked to order and the kitchen having the experience to deliver it as ordered each and every time. It was about a side salad that is properly cold with ample cheese and croutons and dressing. It was about a building with a bar and dining room that created an environment that was large enough to seat a large group but never felt like it was over crowded or too loud to enjoy your own conversations. It was an era where good friends met for good food at good places. Sometimes that era seems so far away but it does still exist. Welcome to the Old Lux!

The owner is gracious to his customers and is always there to see things are going smoothly. Our waitress Robyn, is someone we know from another establishment we frequent. She's wonderful. Ask for her table and tip her well!

This is such an amazing restaurant in downtown Springfield. The most amazing filet and whole channel catfish!! The loaded baked and the cheffee potatoes so delicious!! Full bar with supper club ice cream drinks!!

We love this supper club style restaurant. Dennis the owner is personable and unique. The waitresses are both entertaining and good at their jobs. The loaded baked potato is a meal! The steaks, chops, etc wonderful. Used to have their lobster but it was a pricey $37 last time we went. I recommend this place to everyone

First time to dine here, because I was under the impression that it wasn't a place to eat, but rather a old hotel of some sort. A good friend of mine, who happens to be a Catholic priest, treated me with a great dinner. To drink, requested a favorite of mine, Dr pepper, which they don't have fortunately. Instead, I had one of the few soda options available, root beer. The soda was, to my surprise, incredible. I'm not a fan of the beverage, but loved it. The salad and rolls were definitely above average, held me over till my classic ribeye steak and baked potato arrived. The potato was flooded with a chives and cheese was amazing. The medium prepared ribeye steak was prepared to my liking and was so good I can't seem to put the description into words. Take my word for it, it exceeded my expectations. Service, cost, and atmosphere was all culminated into, in my opinion, the best dining experience I've been a part of since I have lived in central Illinois the past ten years.
