My bridal party had a great time at Chemistry getting our hair and make-up done. Morgan and her team really know and are passionate about what they're doing. Chemistry was communicative, enthusiastic, and had everything we needed. When our schedule had to be shifted around, they were flexible. Everything ran smoothly that morning and we actually wrapped up a little bit early! Everyone walked out feeling beautiful. I also appreciate their commitment to quality products and green practices. I highly recommend them for your wedding day. They are a very talented and relaxed group.

I was the victim of a bad haircut at Aveda and the educator told me they couldn’t do anything to improve it. I desperately went to Valerie VanSlambrouck at Chemistry Salon the following day and she was graciously able to squeeze me in super last minute. She made me feel SO much better, confident and fixed my hair! She was so kind and friendly, and walked me through her process as I was nervously sitting in her chair. I would recommend her to anyone!

I absolutely love Chemistry Salon! I have been coloring my hair red for some time now, and I have always struggled with finding a dye that retains well. Valerie does a great job cutting and styling my hair, and I am very impressed with the quality of the dyes used at Chemistry. After months of washing (with a color-safe shampoo & conditioner), my hair is still a beautiful copper red shade. The fact that the natural products used at Chemistry yield better results than synthetic dyes I have previously had used on my hair is amazing! Overall a wonderful environment with wonderful staff, services and products.

I had an appointment about two weeks ago with Hannah at Chemistry salon. The salon was very clean and took many precautions related to the pandemic. I arrived and told her that I wanted to be more of a ginger color. She helped me hone in on what color I wanted to go with for my hair, and it was far better from any picture. Her consultation was flawless and she took a picture I had on my phone and made it unique to me. The color came out flawless and so rich, and my hair felt healthier than when I started. Next, Hannah also cut my hair. I have fine hair that grows slow and is damaged from doing vivid colors. Hannah took the time to craft a haircut that was perfect for my body and my face, without taking too much length off. She blew my mind. I have not had a hair service that made me feel as happy and radiantly confident as what Hannah did for me at Chemistry. The service really lifted my spirits in these challenging times and I am so thankful for someone as talented as Hannah. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place! I seriously never understood the hype of going to the salon before Chemistry and now I look forward to it every time! I’ve seen Jaclyn and Morgan- they both are absolutely amazing and so intentional in really listening to my vision and educating about my hair. My hair has never been healthier! Morgan Kruizenga (salon owner) has been cutting my hair for more than a decade. She’s an exceptionally talented stylist (I can show her a picture of what I want, and walk out with that exact cut) and an expert colorist. I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else!

By far the best salon in Berkley, if not the entire state. This salon, particularly Jaclyn, has given me an entirely new outlook on my hair. Extremely high quality salon services, performed by highly trained staff who love what they do (and it shows).

Hannah is an amazing hair stylist! She helped me achieve my hair goals within two visits and suggested wonderful aftercare products to help me maintain a beautiful, toned balayage. The cut she gave me made my thick, long hair so much more voluminous and easier to manage. I’m so thankful! I love the atmosphere the salon provides and will always trust that I’m in the right hands at Chemistry!

Over twenty years ago my very chic daughters told me Betty's Beauty Box (my hair salon) was giving me old lady hairstyles (I agreed), so they took me to Morgan. Now the owner of her own salon, Chemistry, Morgan transformed my hair into a beautifully colored and perfectly cut style. Morgan is an incredibly talented, artistic and highly trained hair stylist.
The mantra at Chemistry is customer service. Morgan and all the stylists are committed to providing services to enhance each client's particular needs and provide a bit of pampering, too. As you can tell, I am a very happy client.

Chemistry Salon is a fabulous place to go for hair color, styling, etc. The stylists are top-notch. and on top of all the newest styles and techniques.. Friendly,relaxed atmosphere decorated entirely in an eco-compliant manner (and beautiful too ). Use all natural products. Couldn't recommend this salon more highly. Have been going to the owner for decades, even before she opened her own business; she is the best hair stylist and colorist I have ever gone to.

After some less than stellar experiences at other salons … I’m so happy to have stumbled upon Chemistry. Hannah did an amazing job bringing some fall warmth and depth to my summer blonde … along with a great cut and blow out! The atmosphere in the salon is so zen and light. Everyone there is so friendly and genuinely seem happy to be at work. Will definitely be back.

The professionals who work there are very knowledgeable both in their service and in the products they offer. Fabulous salon and staff! Morgan, owner & stylist has had many years of experience and has been a mentor to many upcoming young stylists. The shop prides itself on being cutting edge, great colorists that use the very best of products on their clients. Their new space in Berkley is beautiful, very welcoming!
