Emily took my waist length hair to a sleek bob OR funky asymmetrical undercut, exactly as I wanted.
I have also watched Lisa give equally great cuts and color to her clients.
The atmosphere here is laid-back, and all the staff are friendly and professional.

I was a shaggy haired zero. After one visit with Emily I'm a total 10. I'm now at the top of my peer group in professional success. Just last week I was bent over in my garden and caused a gawker pile up accident. That's what happens when you Look. This. Good.

Welcoming salon that has everything you want and nothing you don't need. They do amazing cuts, specialize in custom colors, and are super friendly. I have been going since they opened, and never walked out disappointed. Never had that experience at any other salon. Lisa just gets me.

By word of mouth from a few friends, they told me about Emily at Urban Rose Salon. Being picky about who touches my hair, I gave it a chance and got an appointment. BEST decision ever and now a repeat customer to Emily, when I need to look ravishing all over again! This place is a hidden gem. All the workers here are honestly. Wheelchairs are able to access through the front of the building as well.

Emily is truly amazing!! Always down to try new colors with me and never disappoints 😁 The whole staff is super welcoming and friendly too which is exactly what you want when you want to relax and get pampered!

Emily set me up with a consultation because I wasn’t 100% sure on what I wanted to do with my hair. With her expertise she helped me nail down exactly what I wanted. The salon environment is welcoming and feels upscale but also very down to earth and everyone is personable and makes you feel like a long time client.
Emily worked with a quiet confidence; she used techniques that were new to me, but she clearly knew what she is doing because the results were incredible and a testament to her skill as a colorist and stylist.
I felt like the truest version of myself when I left Emily’s chair and look forward to my next visit!

I have been going to Emily for almost 5 years now and she never ever disappoints. She does a fantastic job coloring and cutting my hair and is always cheerful and pleasant. This new salon she has opened with her colleague Lisa is just adorable and their office manager Nicole is fantastic! However, I wanted to review Emily regarding my wedding - I brought 8 women into her salon just a few weeks ago and the work they did on all of us, hair and makeup, was second to none. They opened their salon at 6 am for us all and were extremely cheerful and ready to go, champagne and everything! Nicole was a dream leading up to the appointment scheduling wise as well. Everyone's hair and make-up was stunning and Emily and Lisa were so accommodating and pleasant to be around all morning, even adjusting the thermostat and music for us so we were happy and comfortable. Emily and Lisa put up with me being a control freak and did an even better job than the pictures for my hair and makeup that I brought in.

This salon is fantastic for every day hair color and cuts, but Emily and Lisa are an incredible team when it comes to big events like weddings as well. I will continue to see Emily for my usual appointments, but I can't rave enough about how gorgeous we all looked for my wedding.

Lisa did my hair yesterday and I am beyond happy with it. I have been looking for a hairdresser for about 3 years and my search is finally over! I have very thick hair and she knew exactly what to do with it. The cut is literally perfect! The color is amazing. I'm so happy I found her! I would recommend her to anyone!

Emily is amazing!! She had been cutting my hair for a few years now. I've had her cut my hair super short, do different styles with my bangs, and just the normal trims. She is great at understanding the style I'm going for even if I don't know exactly what I want. I can't say enough good things!!

Lisa has been my stylist for roughly 3 years and it doesn't matter if I walk in with a picture, a specific idea of what I want or if I sit down in the chair and say, "have at it", I am always happy with the end result! I was referred to Emily about a year ago, when my long time hairdresser moved out of state. She is so talented and does a great job with my color and cut. She has thoughtful suggestions when I don't know what I want to do and they are always spot on! I would drive much further to see her, but I love that she is so close in Berkley now.

Lisa has been doing my hair for years and I've never had a bad experience. She's very talented especially when it comes to coloring or highlighting. Regardless of what color I decide, she manages to nail it every time. I look forward to my visits and her hysterical personality.
