North Trail Trailhead

I love this trail, it’s always a challenge for whatever vehicle I’m off-roaring with (especially during snowy days with so much ice) HOWEVER, I love adrenaline in general, so the excitement of almost sliding off the narrow ice sheeted dirt road? PRICELESS!

Not to mention the absolutely fantastic hiking trails that offer full view of Vail as well as so much nature to take in and experience.

Scenic views driving all the way up through Red Sandstone Rd.

The trail is basically uphill. It is a point to point so I would walk for a while then turn back. In August you find wild flowers. In the fall, you climb through groves of aspens as well as open views of Vail valley.

Great hike with spectacular views of Vail valley. Best if you have 2 cars and park one at Redsandstone rd and drive to Buffer creek rd ti start your hike.

It was closed for season but the davos trail down the way is open and these are amazing trails if you're looking for a beautiful nature hike.

So beautiful. No words, no pictures, no videos and no reviews can remotely capture the beauty this place has to offer.
