Up the Creek

You can’t beat the outdoor dining at Up the Creek! We sat riverside and happened to be there while there was a Vail Whitewater Race happening. My kids loved watching the kayakers, rafters, and SUPers pass by. I had the chicken sandwich and loved it! My kids had the mac and cheese and devoured it. I’d love to see a bit more variety on their draft menu, but the service as the atmosphere made up for it!

We love going to Up the Creek! Been here several times and every time the service and food is outstanding. I love that it’s a laid back vibe with a classy menu. Right next to the creek it’s always peaceful. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Here’s our favorite dishes (honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!): scallops and prawns, mac & cheese, pork chop, elk, non fried calamari and the whipped butter with the dinner bread is so good!

Not only do we love eating here for everyday occasions, we also hosted our wedding welcome party at Up the Creek. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and awesome service. Mike and team were so great to work with and they created a killer custom menu for our event 💯

Love the location of this restaurant. Hugging by the river and opens up to a beautiful ground that’s perfect for kids to run around. Depends on your preference, you can be at the place that feels like so secluded or in the middle of all actions.
Food is simply amazing! Too notch quality. We really enjoy everything we ordered. So surprisingly delicious.

Came in for lunch. Great views of the creek and if you can get an outside seat during hours where the sun is behind the buildings or trees then I'd recommend sitting outside if you can.

The food was great. We ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer, a salad, the turkey and brie sandwich and a reuben.

It was all wonderful. The only thing I would mention about the food is regarding the truffle fries. They come with a blue cheese fondue. When the fries come out and the fondue is hot, it's great. If you leave it and let the fondue cool, it will get a country gravy like consistency. For the best flavor, eat it while it's hot.

If you're in the area drop in for taste of at least one of the sandwiches. The reuben was far and away our favorite.

Very good food, a good friend recommended to me, otherwise I wouldn't have known to go in. The look from the outside isn't obvious that the food is so top notch. Great little spot in Vail village right on the creek. The dishes we got were the Beef Carpaccio and the Beef short rib with smoked Mac and Cheese. Very rich so I'm glad I shared this dish! Would pair nicely with a simple salad. We'll be going back!

We stopped by to have lunch. Good place to eat outside (we had our dog). Only had to wait for a few minutes to get a patio table. Everyone was very friendly and the food was good too!

This was our first visit and it was a great experience. Outside tables were great, we got there early (around 12-1) so there wasn't a wait for us but we watched the pace fill up fast. My wife loved the brie and turkey sandwich she ordered and the Reuben was great too! We'll have to try dinner some time in the future (would recommend making reservations). Only complaint was the service was a tad slow, could just be that it was busy and they just opened but was by no means a reason not to go back!

This amazing combination of scallops, shrimp, brussel sprouts, mushrooms and parsnip hash ranks among the best dishes I have ever tasted ANYwhere. This alone is worth a trip to this restaurant. I highly recommend it.

One of our favorite restaurants in all of Eagle or Summit County! The best wings in the world are always baked, them flash fried, and served soaking wet…with blue cheese. Everyone trying something else can just stop- Up the Creek has is figured! And the service- simply the best.

Great spot right by the creek! They have outdoor seating and well behaved dogs are allowed. Great place to grab a full meal or snack on some of their amazing appetizers! We got the mussels and calamari- they were so good!!

Salmon, scallops carbonara, zucchini spaghetti squash (vegetarian entree), and bison tartare. All delicious!!!

Nice restaurant right on the creek, close enough to the gondola to take a longer lunch during a ski day. Salads were fantastic - arugula salad and mixed greens - well dressed and fresh. Kale-quinoa wrap was okay, nothing outstanding. Turkey-apple brie sandwich was more like a grilled cheese with some very tasty dipping sauce.

Had the best fish tacos and chicken tortilla soup, while sitting right next to the river. Beautiful views and awesome food with great service. What more do you want?

Nice lunch menu with seating outside next to the creek. Service was good. Truffle fries were delicious and so was my salad.

Simply fantastic !!! Just mind blowing ambience , food and service !!! Kids just love their Mac n Cheese — it’s truly “World’s Best 😊” like the name says ...

The food was Great! They had the Best Buffalo wings. Exactly how I like them crispy and done. Sauced perfectly. My hubby had the burger and Ceasar salad. He said is was very good, great patty and toasted bun. Relaxed atmosphere. Sat at on the patio and watched kids play in the stream, also tubing down it. Very relaxing.

Very good food, but pricey. They have the best location in Vail! The waitress was very helpful while we adjusted to the altitude.

Lovely restaraunt seating near the creek as well as inside, the fish tacos had the most generous serving of fish Ive ever had in a fish taco and our waitor Chris was great

My wife and I have been here a few times and it never disappoints. The ambiance is great and we love to watch the river area. Today I tried the gyro for the first time and it was delicious!

Food was very good and you pay for that quality, meaning, it seemed pricey. Maybe that's normal dinner prices in Vail; I'm no expert. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a great view of the river. As I said, food was absolutely delicious - we had the calamari appetizer, I had the salmon, and we finished with carmel cheesecake. Yum!
