The George Restaurant & Pub

A very cool bar atmosphere with good food. The wings were seasoned well, though the skin was a bit loose. The duck and mushroom quesadilla was very good. The ahi tuna salad was great. The tacos with the tuna were a little less fitting, but made well too. The best thing I had was probably the steak chili. It was excellent.

I’m here for a short weekend trip to Vail and I’ve come here 3 times! The happy hour special is unheard of at a place like Vail. The food is fantastic, the servers are great, and the drinks are awesome. I would Highly recommend it for anyone in the area looking for a good dive bar and great company

Visited during Happy Hour and tried a variety of drinks - a few hot/coffee cocktails, martinis, and Mules. All drinks were $5.50 and tasted good!

Nice, casual atmosphere with lots to look at. We returned later that night for drinks and hanging out - made new friends, and the place has a good, friendly energy.

Staff and bartenders were very nice! Would recommend for a fun time!

Very good food and service. We took advantage of happy hour and had the plum duck and steak with a chocolate martini and Manhattan. Drinks were $5 and food was 25 (I think). Very few people there which was nice. No reservations or extra fees. It was a dive bar with personality but surprisingly kid friendly. In the basement from street level.

This is the only true ski bar in vail. The best place to have a beer after a day on the hill. The vibes are unbeatable. I love all the art on the wall. It can get busy but the bartenders always get you a drink quickly. Special shoutout to bartender Zac who remembers me every year when I visit.

Best king crab legs I’ve ever had. Mexican coffee is great. Nachos are superb.

This place was a great local hideaway. I was pleasantly surprised with the generous happy hour food and drink selection. A very diverse apres ski crowd, effortless, comfortable environment. Ascetic was dark and dated, but it added to the charm and wasn't an issue.

LIz was awesome give her a raise also she needs some extra help. But awesome Waitress and Experience food was very reasonable for vail and way better than expected for the price.

When I say this is the best bar in the world I mean it. $5.50 for anything from 3-6 pm is amazing. The food is fantastic, service amazing, atmosphere is 10/10. Came to Vail again because of this place.

Great bar to relax and have a beer after hitting the slopes. Very continently located in vail village near the bus stop. Very cozy atmosphere with friendly staff and good music playing. Their happy hour is unmatched from 3-6pm drinks $5.50 and most food $10.75!

Drinks were delicious! Tried the espresso martini, apres cafe, Red Bull lemonade slushie and more because the price can’t be beat!

As for food we tried the cheeseburger, veggie burger, seasame crusted tuna, bowl of cheese fries, wings with plum sauce and Cajun rub and the fish and chips. Top contenders were the fish and chips and wings which were crispy and well seasoned.

Great food and Service! Our server was amazing and did a great job for her outstanding offers. The chicken wings is delicious! Our group ordered fish n chips as well. Surely a hidden treasure of vail resto!

Best spot in Vail after the slopes. Insanely affordable happy hour deals for food and all drinks. Will come back here every time we’re in Vail!

Just a cool ‘basement bar” with a different vibe than any other place in Vail. Great beer selection. Sofas and big bar: Excellent bartenders (Zach). It’s not for “fancy people”, but if you’re normal you’ll love it here.

They call this the dive bar of Vail, or at least I heard that a few times. Doesn’t really represent what I call a dive bar but the atmosphere was chill on a Thursday night, very friendly staff and the food/beer was delicious. I recommend the duck. Yes, duck served at a “dive” bar in Vail :)

"The best steak in the valley" is what a local had to say when I asked for their thoughts about the George Restaurant & Pub. Tonight, I had the delicious fish and chips, which I would order again. Michael is an outstanding guy, bar tender, and server!

The George offers great food for all tastes. I got to enjoy a couple of drinks while eating a Mushroom and Duck Quesadilla 🦆 would definitely recommend eating the quesadilla, it's a plate one isn't used to eating and it tastes just great.

Great little dive bar with amazing service. The food was soooo delicious and cooked perfectly. Went for happy hour and got the surf and turf.

Amazing happy hour specials at the foot of the mountain. Helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately there is no availability for playing the bar games during this pandemic, but it's a great place and if it's not filled to capacity at 3pm then go for it!

EDIT: make sure to get the mushroom 🍄 and duck 🦆 quesadilla!!
