Motel 6 Rapid City, SD

I got placed in a room that was not supposed to be rented, and i was highly dissatisfied. I met with the management the next morning, and they were very professional. They went out of there way to ensure i was taken care of. They placed me into another room the next day that was spotless, great housekeeper. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I would stay here again, because they are new management and making positive changes to a motel that hadnt been taken care of for years. Grest Job Motel 6.

Employees are kind and are more than willing to accommodate as many needs as possible. They’re short staffed but they’re definitely trying their best and that’s all that truly matters. Wonderful place with some wonderful people, but if your reserving a room/getting a room and expecting perfection for such a cheap price, just spend the extra $30 to get a room at microtel or something because the employees, especially front desk, can only do so much. I could tell; the employees are overworked and are out of things to tell and offer to people when things go wrong with their room/reservation.

The rooms are what you would expect, a bed, bedside stand with a phone, a table to eat on, a TV with a remote, shelves and hangers, and a luggage stand. The room was clean, with great water pressure. The driveway and some landscaping areas have sunken in, leaving holes that you don't want to lose a foot or an axle in. The staff was very nice. I called the local hotel number to make reservations. However, when I checked in I had some questions for the clerk. I was told she just does check-ins and needs to call reservations for those answers. I was very confused since I dialed the local number I thought I made reservations with that specific hotel and expected to have my questions answered by the local clerk. It would be nice if the local clerks were able to communicate with the reservation desk.

I stayed in room 211 and the front desk was very helpful with the whole process, it was quiet all throughout my stay, and Jackie made sure all my needs were taken care of. The check in was very smooth and the staff are decently knowledgeable about the area and attractions nearby. Would definitely stay again

I prefer this motel over all others in Rapid City. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is friendly. Although I wasn't a guest this time it hasn't changed!

The staff here have always been very friendly and courteous!!!!! They bend over backwards for us!!!!! The amenities are WONDERFUL!!!!! Cable TV, HBO, Showtime, in room phone, washer and dryer access, clean linens and towels, toilet paper and deodorant soap and WONDERFULLY HOT COFFEE IN THE MORNING!!!!! I can have my 2 kitties with me...the sidewalks are always shoveled after after a snow and we are walking distance to Walmart on Lacrosse St...I will recommend staying at Motel 6 here in Rapid City, SD to EVERYONE that I speak to!!!!! It is going to be hard for us to leave our temporary home here when we find a permanent place to live!!!!!

Now I rate this place a 5 star because off my situation I had while staying. It started with me renting my room for a couple days I came home one night to find my room door would not open I got the manager to make a new key still not working we had the maintenance guy help probably about a hour and half helping me get into so I could get to my dogs. turns out the door lock had actually fried the mother board. So they got me into a new room for the rest of my stay. Now I will admit the hotel is not a five star hotel it’s a motel six so I don’t expect much and neither should anyone else with the price you pay for a night is pretty reasonable. Now I will admit the rooms do need to be a little more clean and taken care off my second room the fire alarm was off of the ceiling some of the walls or around sink could have been cleaner. But what makes me give this place a 5 star is the fact of how respectful the staff was very understandably people who just recently this year took over the management at the place and are trying to make it more guest friendly they have their work cut out I’ll admit but I’ll choose this place over any town for the price and for the experience I had with the staff. Now please if motel six actually reads this please have the staff cleaning the rooms put a little more effort into it and hopefully soon each room can have a fridge and a microwave because I seen a couple rooms with them and neither of mine had either one and it was brutal having to walk everywhere to get my meals each day. Again great experience with the staff I know eventually it will be a great place to stay

Jackie the manager is amazing, she is doing a fantastic job, the grounds and rooms are clean. Rooms are comfortable and safe. The staff is very friendly. Love that they allow us to have our cats here. I have enjoyed our stay here. Thanks so much!!

Most luxurious motel in the Rapid City area, and at an amazing price! Was able to bring my pet parrot to! The sheets, curtains, and parts of the carpet had mystery stains that really added to the overall aesthetic and gave the place a great deal of personality. 11/10 would stay again. Some guy also asked me for money in the parking lot, gave him three Mexican Pesos and told him to buy lunch somewhere. Not really the motel’s fault but it’s worth mentioning.

I gave these guys 5 stars because of how busy this place is the staff makes sure it's a safe place. If u have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask for Tim, he is a great people person and very understanding of any situation u may have. I would recommend Motel 6 to friends and family 😊 Thanks Tim and Jackie for all that you do 😃

Motel 6 never lets you down. The staff really puts forth a lot of effort to make you comfortable during your stay. Fella at the front desk was extremely nice and helped me find some good food in town! Tim you da man.

My wife and I traveled to the Rapid City area to sight see and take in all the beautiful things to see in that area. We are very familiar with Motel 6, because we have stayed in them all over the majority of the U.S.. The Rapid City Motel 6 was a very pleasant experience. The staff was great and very helpful, the room was totally clean, and the bathroom was just as nice. Our 1st impression when we opened the room (227) was wow this is really nice. I always read reviews before I buy anything or before I rent a room for a few days. I read plenty of reviews on this particular Motel 6 and it really did get a bad rap. At least as far as our room was concerned. If other rooms were comparable to ours they were nice enough to satisfy (most). I do recommend this place in Rapid City as a place to stay it is simply worth the money. :-)

Jackie runs a staff that is friendly and helpful. The physical plant is old but clean. I stay here because she makes my business very important.

Been living here for quite some time. Its under new management and this gs have turnes better than it has been its years. Less than few months I've seen the the manager so more than the pervious ones did. She cares about her customers and works non stop to make sure everything is running too top shape. Nice location and friendly staff.

The room was clean, the decor was updated, and everything functioned as expected. Cleaning staff was helpful in replenishing supplies, and front desk staff was friendly and helpful in re-keying our room cards when they didn't function the second night of a three night stay. Would be happy to stay again!

I was looking for a place to stay in rapid city for a few nights , but i’m on a really tight budget , so i though i’m not gonna find some decent place to stay for the night , but then i find motel 6 from google and turns out the price was really cheap and affordable, then the most surprising things was the room was actually clean , the toilet was clean and it was really a silent room too so it’s really a good place to have a goodnight sleep . I would definitely stay here again for my next trip to rapid city 5/5
