Maymar Filipino Restaurant

We originally went into the plaza to go to another restaurant that was closed on Tuesdays due to labor shortages. Honestly, this was the best thing that could have happened as we accidentally discovered this gem. Maria, our Customer Service Associate was absolutely amazing. She was very pleasant, extremely friendly, and genuinely happy to help! For lunch, I had the Adobo Chicken with white rice topped with diced tomatoes and scallions. My wife had the Picadillo with white rice in which is very similar to a Sheppard's Pie. For a beverage, we shared a can of Foco Coconut Juice. We would definitely return to this location when we are in the area. Give them a try... You will not be disappointed!

The food was fresh and there was very little wait time. First I was served a house salad with some type of dressing not sure what. Then I had favorite of the beef and broccoli with spicy level of two stars. I also had an order of the fried chicken spring rolls. Very cozy setting and I love their booth searing the best.

Introduced by my coworker, we went for lunch and it was delicious. Website easy, ordered over the phone easy, pickup fast and young lady had great customer service and still had more than enough time to eat lunch and chat with my friends...I got the Tito very simple for my first time, so many varieties.i say try it😊

The food is delicious!! Staff was personable and helpful. The inside has a bohemian, artsy vibe. The outside is deceiving. It's much nicer than it looks. I highly recommend!!

The food here is amazing and the portion sizes are large. They also have amazing lumpia and I love their leche flan.

I’ve been here twice. Enough to know that they offer an extensive menu for the cuisine. The staff is extraordinarily pleasant. Only thing I would criticize is the floor is sticky - but as long as you don’t drop your food all is well in the world.

Noteworthy: excellent price point. The half a dozen things I’ve had were fantastic. Will return.

Pretty good Filipino food here. My wife and I have gotten food from here several times over the last year or so. We never leave hungry or disappointed, which is good. The only downside is that the restaurant is not too big, so if you plan on dining in, there are only a few tables.

Food was GREAT, a variety of food to choose from. Customer service was great and friendly. Even asked if that was enough or wanted more.

We love their lumpia and chicken adobos. They didn’t have the chili sauce for my bulk order of lumpia and didn’t offer an alternative.

I noticed Maymar on Yelp when I was in town. The reviews were all good so I decided to try it out. I ordered the Bicol express, adobo chicken, and Sinangag for dinner. And a yummy Ube halo halo for dessert. Everything was delish!

Loved the atmosphere! The food and the service! It would be nice if the had a drink fountain, but that is me being super picky. I had the veggie pancit, pork bicol, and beef lumpia! It was so good!!!

They are sooooooooo sooooo delicious!!! Not good for my waistline! Super friendly place with family cozy atmosphere. If I lived closer I would eat here all the time.

I absolutely love this place! I come here from Suffolk just to get a taste of Filipino food. I brought a friend of mine who's actually from the Philippines and he said that the food at this restaurant takes him back home while he's eating it. It's not expensive and it has a lot of flavor. Try it and you won't regret it.

I was looking for some filipino food in Chesapeake and saw this place. I've been to the Maymar in Norfolk, not the poke in OV. This place had some hot ready to eat food. The pancit was good with some pakbet. There was no pork here, but the veggies were good. I'd had the pork adobo. It was good, but I have a fav somewhere else. Not bad. The lumpia was good.

You walk in and the smells are so good. The food has always been the best. I'll be back.

Firstly, this place is amazing and the food is always fresh and flavourful. My family and I have been going here for many years. The Lumpia, Chicken Adobo & Pancit are my favourite. This place is a favorite of mine. The food is always incredible. Fresh and delicious. The lumpia is something special. The portions are more than generous and the staff is always sweet and patient. This place is a staple of the area and my only complaint is they aren't open later.
