Scott Center Annex Commissary

This place is convenient, courteous staff. Good variety of non- regional/cultural products (IMO). "Small enough to be homey, large enough to stay in touch".

We had a great time shopping at this Commissary. Everything was fresh & plentiful. Great customer service as well.

I enjoy going to the Commissary always have. I have seen them change here in Portsmouth for the last 43 years and I still love the store. The prices are fair for active duty and retired.

Best place to shop for those who have earned the privilege

A hIdden secret. It's my favorite comissary to shop. I can go up and down the aisles and take my sweet time grocery shopping. Not many people frequent here, i guess, because of location. It's nicely arranged. All fruits and vegetables are always so fresh. Have chicken wings and affordable eggs all the time. Commissary staff are always pleasant.

As a military family living in Chesapeake, this commissary is the closest and most convenient. Although it is smaller than Norfork and Little Creek, it still has a great selection and is pretty stocked up. It's never been too busy when I've went, even after a pay day. Great produce, meat selection and all. I love heading here and still getting the most our of a food shopping trip.

It was great, food is much cheaper that regular grocery stores and no tax. I purchased a latge pack of pork chops for under $5.00.

Very helpful staff. Overall pricing lower than most grocery stores, including Walmart. Although, considered a smaller commissary the variety is outstanding. Deli is great.

Clean, good fresh food, plenty meats, plenty of parking, good cashiers... EXCEPT for OUR LAST VISIT, I had finished putting my groceries on the belt and she was just standing there and she was standing there stoll not saying anythinging, so we were both standing there, I'm looking at her as she just looked at my groceries. so I asked her was there something I am not doing, still she didnt say anything..she was an Asian lady so I supposed she couldn't speak English well... then I remembered I hadn't shown her my military id... CRAZY, normally I go to other supermarkets, I didn't think to present my ID... she could have just said, "ID PLEASE,"but that was my first and last encounter with her... the store still gets a 5 star

Best place to shop!

Two words: extremely convenient! This commissary is small but PERFECT for those quick runs. It's almost never crowded and has EVERYTHING you need. Some niceties perhaps not but most of what you'll need, they have. The only bummer is a lack of an organic section for fruits and such, but has all of your other fruits. Certain flavors of things they also dont carry, but what they lack they make up in convenience. This is my go to on most weekends. Small crowd, even on pay days. Worth the trip!

Store hours are good times to shop. The prices of meat and various items are good.

They may not always have the most items since their store is smaller than other commissaries in the area, however, their staff can’t be beat when it comes to customer service and friendliness. We just got done with the commissary in VA Beach and my husband and I both said Scott’s Annex customer service was a 100% better. They are friendly, helpful, and we just overall enjoy going there to shop.
