I boarded my dog for 10 days and got her spade. She was well taken care of and enjoys seeing them now when we visit for check ups. The front desk is friendly. I can't put a price on a piece of mind knowing my doggo is taken care of. 10/10.

We recently had to put our 12yo german shepherd to sleep. BHAH is not my regular vet, but due to crazy circumstances, I called to ask for euthanasia assistance. They didn't have time or openings, but they made time to help and were so gracious about it.
Losing our family bestie was absolutely awful, but the care we received was amazing! Every single person in that building was so incredibly compassionate. I felt that they truly cared about my dog and our family. They made a horribly tragic day bearable.
Words cannot express how appreciative my family is to the whole clinic for helping us through this.
And Dr Mez, wow. Her additional act of kindness was so kind!!

We have taken all of our critters here for both medical care and boarding. Kind and caring staff. Dr Mez is top notch as well.

They took very good care of our parrot. We were worried about his need for social interaction while we were away. The vets and staff took him out every day, provided a bigger cage for him, and gave us positive updates the whole time we were gone!

Dr. Mez and the staff at BH Animal Hospital are the best! I had to schedule my 15yo Boxer for surgery and was scared about her going under anesthesia. Dr. Mez assured me and said her heart was in great condition and her blood work was good (required for dogs 7+ years). She came through the surgery with flying colors - no issues! I'm so glad I went through with it. I've boarded her there as well - Steve (the gentleman who is there on the weekends for doggy pickup) even popped by when I was picking her up for surgery. Great team of people!

We went to this hospital for the first time when traveling based on Google reviews. We were not disappointed. Dr. Anderson was wonderful. We have many animals and a wellness plan for them through Banfield, so we are well versed in vet visits. He took time to answer all our questions and educated us with bone models. The doctor was very kind to our GSD as well. If we ever move here he would be our vet for sure. Thank you!

The have boarded my dogs. Done a great job. Keep track of everything and gave a good update when we returned. Also gave meds to my pups and didn’t charge more. Food is provided as well which I liked.

I have been using them as my primary vet for over 8 year. The facility is dated but it works and works good. I have never been pressured into anything by the vets. Also when i adopted my dog 8 years ago i took him there to be looked over and they didnt charge me anything since he was adopted. I don't know if they still do that, but it caused me to stick with them.

Dr. Mez has been our vet for over 10 years and you couldn't pay me to switch. She is an incredibly kind, thorough and dependable. Yes the clinic is old as DIRT but that really makes no difference to me. It's about the care and the reasonable price.

The staff were very friendly and considerate. They explained what was going to happen and were very friendly and empathetic to our cause.

My children and I have moved here from elsewhere and one of our pets needed to be put down. Being that we haven't set up health for our pets it was a pretty stressful, emotional and financially difficult situation to go through in such a short time.
I had gotten recommendations from coworkers and by what research was available online and I will say it came down to two factors for me when I had to decide where to take my children to put down their first pet.
One was money of course - we all don't have the nest egg we would like and the bills to keep a roof over our heads come first. But the 2nd and most decisive factor was how they were verbally on the phone and their over all personality towards my questions.
I was most impressed with Black Hills Animal Hospital PA.
When it finely came to the day and time for us to take my son's pet Lois in to ease her out of her pain I was so worried about how will this go?, how will the kids take this?, and so forth that as a mother I put aside how this would affect me as well.
They were very friendly and treated our Lois with love. The vet was very friendly to my children and she explained what the procedure was and how it worked and reassured us many times that she wouldn't feel anything.
When all was said and done they gave us the curtesy of going out a back side door and not through the lobby since we were all pretty torn up afterwards.
I appreciate everything they had done to help ease this pain for us the best they could with the situation we were in.
To show how much they cared and sympathized with our family they had even sent a card that was signed by all the staff in the mail addressed to my son.
Being that they have never met us before and had never had the opertunity to work with Lois it was a very heartfelt gesture that we appreciated a lot. My son who was devistated at Lois's lose was so touched he has kept the card.
Anyone out there that has a child on the spectrum knows that even though they may not show there feelings on their sleeves doesn't mean that they don't feel them and this showed him that Lois and him mattered to the staff and that they weren't just another service to perform.

Our pets are our baby's too and when you need to take them in to get their annual visits or worse like us. Please put Black Hills Animal Hospital PA at the top of your list.

Black Hills Animal Hospital is hands-down the best veterinary clinic in South Dakota. We have been clients for the last 20 years, and they have provided outstanding care for our two miniature schnauzers. Dr. Anderson and his staff have offered support, guidance, and comfort on both occasions when it came time to say goodbye to our dear canine friends. Sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and staff at BHAH. Highly recommend.

We were very worried about our kitty Brida. They were able to see her a day sooner then scheduled, and she is doing better. Thankyou Linda C. And the rest of the staff for helping our sweet Brida.

We went there for a haircut and the poor baby was absolutely not letting it happen. The staff was very nice about it and tried their best to work with him. Well definetly be going back with our less picky dogs

Love this vet! My family and I have taken all our pets there. They are clean and friendly and have extremely reasonable prices. I was quoted $800.00 at a different vet for the same procedure that BH Animal Hospital did for $250.00.

Great service and great bedside manner. I was given bad news on my fur baby but the way it was delivered softened the blow. Dr Anderson is the best.My fur babies and I will be returning.

Took our dog in for a wellness check the vet was super nice and helpful. She answered all our questions. And gave us so many options to help us in our price range.

Very comforting, and supporting staff. Had to let a good friend go, and they were very understanding about all my needs. Made the whole situation a little bit more comfortable.

Dr. Mez has helped us with two losses and now with our new puppy. She is an amazing, caring, sweet vet.
