A1A Cycle Works

Ordered a new electric bike from them today. This will be the 2nd or 3rd bike I have purchased from A1A Cycle. Jeff has been in this business for many years and is honest and straight forward. Tess helped me order my new bike and was equally friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to my new bike.

7 miles from home with a flat bike tire, no spare tube and 90 degrees sucks. The guys at A1A cheerfully fixed my flat in record time. So grateful for their friendly and knowledgeable service. If you’re buying or need service - make them your first stop.

Staff was able to repair and get functioning a 1993 Kestel’s gears that had not operated for 12 years and are simply the best at bar wraps, period!

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Worked with them ordering a couple of new Velotric e-bikes, and they were awesome even though we were ordering over the phone. Highly recommend, and when we are in the area again, will definitely utilize them for any needs we have!

I am a newbie at the bicycling universe. I looked in many places only to be led here through an ad. Wonderful location, shop, quite a few variety to select from.

While most places/shops seemed like they were busy and did not want to engage in educating me as a new to bicycle world, but at this shop, they did pretty well.

Tessa was educating and patient, while she was not pushy for sales, she delievered the information, anticipating my beginner status. It helped me make the purchase confidently. Post purchase conversation with Tessa, was also handled well, and I felt that I got a wonderful experience. Thank You Tessa.

Great service, reasonable prices! This is the bike shop to go to in STA. We love supporting other local businesses. We recently lost everything in a house fire and needed to get new bikes for the whole family. We bought five Retrospec bicycles from A1A cycle works and Jeff was so helpful, helping us all to pick the right bikes for us and our 3 sons. My family and I all left happy riding off with our new bicycles.

This is one of the best bike stores I've been to!
Great range of bikes and accessories.
I brought in a 30 year old Trek 1100 that needed new tyres.
After talking with the team there (Dave and Jeff?) they showed me what they recommended.
Great prices, they put the tyres on for me and I even got a mirror for my drop bars.
Will I go back?

They looked after me and my bike (I rode 6 miles to get to the store) and it was some of if not the best experience I've had at a bike store.

We have been looking for 2 new bikes for our boys who have out grown there current rides! They treated us fair and were open in the process of pricing our trade in bikes. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Even told us about good local trails to ride. We have been to other bike shops in the area and by far this place has the best customer service.

My husband and I needed new bikes. We were just looking. This was our first stop. These guys have high quality merchandise. They took alot of time with us to make sure we got the best bike for our needs. They were not pushy but made reasonable and knowledgeable suggestions. The owner and his friend were great.

When it came time to consider a basket, mirrors and helmets, they were great.

We would highly recommend them. They also service what they sell. Everything you need.

Always great, and always helpful and just the best!! Magic always happens here, whether it’s getting an awesome kickstand for my bike, or getting the right lights, or water bottle holders, or getting a new tire, it doesn’t matter, it’s always great and Jeff, Dave, and everybody else there is always super. Tes helped out tremendously, and went above and beyond. Brought the bike in for a chain repair and she fixed the grips, stem, and filled the tires no extra charge. Got the bike back within a day as well. Kindness like that creates life long customers! Thank you.

Best service I've received from a bike shop. My wife and I were after a tandem for a long tour, and when our preference was unavailable, Jeff and his team bent over backwards to make sure we we got one, even ordering by proxy through a supplier he didn't normally use.

Not only this, he proactively ordered a wide range of racks, seats and other paraphernalia he thought we might need.

All this, and he's a thoroughly nice bloke. What more could you want?

I went to A1A Cycle Works to get a new tire and tube. The replacement set I bought was very high quality and competitively priced. Because I'm a newbie, I got home and thought the new tube was too big for my rim. When I returned, the owner Jeff personally took the time to assemble the rim, tire, tube and all. Great local shop, with great staff!

Grateful snowbird!! These people are awesome. Replaced my cassette the same day after my chain damaged it. Fair price and excellent service…wanted to get me back on the road ASAP.

I recently received a bicycle for my birthday!! Last week my Son came to take care of the final assembly items!! We removed my beautiful new bicycle from the box & took the back tire to A1A Cycle Works for assistance installing the caliper, & to air up the tire! I also bought a tire pump for future use! Later, I had to return to A1A Cycle Works for help with the pump! Whoops!

Best bike shop in St Augustine for sure. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. They have a great selection of MTB, road and gravel bikes. The shop is an authorized dealer with so many top of the line brands: Cannondale, Giant, Bianchi, Salsa, Kona, Rocky Mountain, Marin, Jamis, Surly!

The owner and his friend who run this place are wonderful: friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and never "pushy". My husband and I walked in to buy myself a used bike, and I immediately found one that was perfect for what we wanted. The owner did not try to sell us one of the new bikes in his store. Instead, he helped me go through a check list which I'd copied from an online site for people who wanted to buy used bikes. The bike I wanted "passed my mini inspection" with flying colors.

The owner helped me add a kickstand, choose a car carrier, and buy a tire pump for my bike. I took my first trouble-free 6 mile ride later that same day. I highly recommend this little shop for those who want the right kind of help when they are ready to buy a bike!

Great people! My husband got a very good deal on a demo bike, and they have been very accommodating over the last 2 years since he purchased it. They even helped us when we needed our jogging stroller repaired, in a timely manner.
