Best disk golf course!

We chose where to live in Rapid City to be close to this gem of a park course. You will find it full of great people and friendly dogs. The heart of the disc golf community in the Black Hills. Stop by Black Hills Vinyl downtown if you need to replace a disc you lose in the creek. 😉

We went disc golfing in Jackson Park the day before Thanksgiving. Even though we were golfing in the snow we thought the park was great and can't wait to give it a try in warmer weather. The course is marked well and easy to follow. Can't speak for how challenging the course is since the trees had no leaves and we skipped the creek holes since the temps were below freezing and we didn't want to go wading for discs. I'd imaging the course can be challenging though in the summer. They have plenty of optional hole locations and every hole has a cement pad to start from with good hole markers.

Biased perhaps by nature because this park provides it all. Bordering Rapid Creek, who's name shares double meaning, Jackson Park is home to the biggest longest standing weeping willows in the area alongside of many additional deciduous and evergreens. Well-maintained, the park contains both vast grassy areas in addition to clumpy wooded areas, giving the park as a disc golf course lots of variety.

Its was another great day at this 90% level gem of a disc course! I managed a Ace on hole 10!
There is a good reason this is one of the top rated courses to play in the world.

Good variety of shot types, distances, and pin locations. Moderate foot traffic. Flat course, so east to walk and definitely cart friendly.

Great location to disc golf. Beware of the river! Location has picnic tables and port-a-potties.

Great disc golf course with 2 or 3 meet-ups a week with the local club! Plenty of night golf too!
