IL Bambini NY Style Pizza

We just moved to the Hickory area from Texas and I wanted a NY-style pizza. We placed the order and I picked it up and had the opportunity to meet the owner. Really great guy who has a passion for making the Best Pizza I've ever had. Mr. bambino you have a new customer, my family really loved the pizza. I would highly recommend IL BAMBINI'S PIZZA.

Absolutely delicious! We have been here a couple times and ordered a fresh pizza and it has been great. Tonight we got the “ grandma” pizza and it was a game changer! It is perfection and tastes like pizza should if it’s authentic. The owner is extremely kind and appreciative! It is our new favorite pizza spot!

Bambinis is the best pizza in this county, if not this whole state, believe me I've tried them all. You may think that $5 a slice is too expensive but it is worth it, the quality of ingredients is obviously much higher than competitors. The man takes pride in each and every pizza and creates a truly superior pie.

Best pizza in Catawba County hands down if you want the real thing. Always has ALOT of options by the slice. If you’re looking for best New York/Italian style pizza, this is it. Owner is so friendly and always willing to have chat.

The best pizza by far, the owner is so amazing and makes you feel like family. An absolute must if your looking for really good pizza and a relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go!

This place is a hidden gem. Not only good local food, but it will be probably the best pizza you've ever had. The toppings and ingridents are the freshest and best tasting. This is just amazing tasty pizza.

The restaurant has not fully recovered from the shutdown in 2020 (as of fall 2023), so don't be scared by the presentation of the dining room. It is basic, plain, self serve condiments and drinks, but very clean.
Set that aside and order your meal at the counter. The menu is limited but limited to some of the best pizza and Italian dishes we have ever had. My picky teenagers had slices of pizza and I got the Eggplant Parm. The Garlic Knots were spectacular and the food was excellent.
Absolutely get the knots, no matter what you order, and support this recovering business so that it will be around for a long time. We can't wait to visit again.

We, my husband and I, got a large meat lover's pizza, just minus the iltalian sausage. Had we known how big it was we would've only gotten a medium. It's huge. It's by far the best pizza in Hickory. The owner, Mr. Bambini is the sweetest God fearing man you'll ever meet. He is absolutely just as delightful as his pizzas are. We look forward to trying his other creations that he makes. We put an average size dinner plate in the very middle of the pizza, and a regular size dinner fork beside a slice to give you an idea of how huge it is 😋

The Pizza is NY style for sure crust is perfect nice and thin and not over cooked. Now I would not say it's a 10 I would say a 7.5. He likes to go over board on the cheese a little and there seems to be a little bit to much salt taste. I have been there twice and will go back again and again if you go to NY area this is the kinda pizza you will find in about 75% of the places. It's not the ritz but it works. It is the best pizza in the area hands down.

Leave the big pizza chains behind! You will not find more delicious authentic pizza anywhere else around Newton or even the entire Hickory area. The owner is very passionate about his business and you being satisfied. Lots of to go options on your lunch break or if you’re in a hurry but their pizza is best served hot and fresh out of the oven. Lasagna is amazing and so is the Alfredo!

Craving a real NY style pizza? This guy trained in Italy! And he's in Newton! Order the Quattro Formagio. Home-made cheese. Sauce. Crust. Fresh basil. Wow! Easily found off highway 16, 321 and a short hop from Interstate 40. Don't let the ugly location fool you, this guy is a master.

Quality ingredients, it just really makes all the difference. Fantastic pizzas and stromboli. Always friendly service and sometimes you get to hear the drums. Our favorite pizza place by far.

I have been searching for real NY pizza and now I have found it their crust is perfect and the sauce is amazing if you never had real NY pizza then you have to come here and if you are home sick for real NY pizza then search no more you have to try it

Absolutely amazing gem that you will not want to miss out on! The food is amazing! Had pizza and stromboli and could not have been more pleased! Also, the tirimasu was amazing! The gentleman who helped us was so funny and took such good care of us! Please give this place a try! I know you will not regret it!

This was such a great find! I was traveling through the area and we wanted pizza for dinner, thinking there was no way we would find authentic NY style. This place proved me wrong. It was delicious, highly recommend!

Tasty, thin-crust, New York style 🍕 pizza by the slice or full pan. Many different types and toppings and also garlic knots, calzones, and pasta. The restaurant is small with seating for just a few people, but takeout is available. Can and bottle drinks - no unlimited fountain refills. We enjoyed our late lunch thanks to the friendly and hard working owner and some of the best pizza in Hickory.

My hubby and I went to Bambinis pizza tonight for the first time. We got a Medium Supreme pizza. It was good. It tasted like fresh ingredients. Medium is really big. Owner was very nice. We will return.

I love this place. The fresh ingredients make all the difference. It's one of the only pizza places I can eat w/o getting that yeasty aftertaste that makes me feel gross.

Not going to lie, I ate half of my food before even remembered to take pictures or leave a review. The food here is amazing. I just got take out for the first time today. Everything was delicious and still warm by the time I got home. The owner is a very pleasant man. Great NY style to the food
