Asuka Sushi & Hibachi

I can't say enough good about this place! You can take a look at my photos but until you try it for yourself you won't really understand. The use really high grade fresh product, and make a lot of stuff in house. Their shrimp sauce is amazing. I've had their Sushi, their Hibachi chicken and steak as well. Their spring rolls are crazy good. The service is stellar!
It's about time we got something this good in the South Gastonia area!

Delicious. Super small but excellent sushi. A family owned and family fun place. The chopsticks are not disposable which I love. Great cheap prices but such good quality food. Laid back atmosphere. The ginger dressing is amazing. The miso soup is delicious. We had 6 rolls of sushi for dinner, and every roll was fresh and well-made. We will be returning.

This was our first visit. We ordered through their website and picked it up about 25 minutes later in the drive-thru window. This restaurant does not look like much on the outside, but the sushi was very tasty. My wife and I split nigiri, spicy tuna and a monster roll. All were delicious. We would not hesitate to hear again.

If there were 10 stars I would give it. The absolute most delicious and wonderful presentation of sushi I've ever had. The couple that own this jewel make it the best place you'll find. Loved everything about this dining experience.

This small, yet amazing sushi restaraunt, has become my new favorite place for dinner. The staff is very friendly and the food has been excellent both times we visited. They have a very large selection of interesting sushi rolls and the prices are very reasonable.

They are always super nice and super fast! Me and some friends made a huge order and as soon as we got there which is like 10 minutes down the road...all of our food was being already being boxed up and ready for us to grab! Best sushi and yakisoba around!! The TNT roll will blow your mind!

Family of 5 - Why did we wait so long to come here! We absolutely enjoyed our dining experience here. We WILL be back soon.
Food - Excellent. We had hibachi chicken, teriyaki chicken, hibachi shrimp, california roll, kids california roll. All were excellent. Probably the best hibachi I have had in town. My wife had the california roll and said the ingredients had incredible taste and were fresh. Kids plates were given as much attention as the adults. Excellent
Atmosphere - It is a small restaurant. Most of the tables seat 4. We pulled up a chair for our 5th and it was fine. The place is clean, decorated nicely, and it is comfortable.
Cost - Competitive with any sit down restaurant. Not expensive at all
Service - Family owned and they definitely take pride in their business. We were treated very well!

Always tasty, fresh food and at reasonable prices. Also love that you can easily order online and then they have a drive through to pickup. One of my top go-tos when I'm in the area.

Very nice experience. We recently moved near by and when deciding where to go we noticed how close Asuka was. When we pulled up we noticed the parking lot only had a couple cars combined with a otherwise dark and pretty abandoned shopping center. This is the only reason their small family owned business is not overrun. The food was not only delicious, but served with a care and a concern for the customer experience that I simply have not seen in any other hibachi restaurants in this area. On this particularly cold day we visited we were welcomed with a warm bowl of soup and spring rolls brought complementary, a sign of the incredible hospitality which was present throughout our visit. The hibachi I ordered was served in a skillet which reminded me of a Ghibli movie. Definitely give them a try.

Asuka was really yummy.
The miso soup was great. I am one who liked thick seaweed in mine and it was amazing with huge chunks of tofu.
I ordered the combo for crispy golden chicken and spicy volcano roll and it was spectacular.
The dressing is strange at first, but it's amazing on the salads.

A huge plus, their place mats are beautiful!

Everyone that we came in contact with for staff were all attentive and very nice. The restaurant was very clean.

We ate here for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back. We had two sushi rolls that were both delicious as well as a hibachi chicken meal that was also really flavorful. The selection of sushi rolls is several pages long in the menu.. Plenty of fresh flavors to choose from depending on your taste. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were very friendly. I'm glad this place has opened in our neighborhood.

I’ve been coming here ever since it opened and it is unlike no other. The owner and workers are all very friendly and make sure you get the right order every single time. The sushi is fresh and the food style is authentic instead of imitation. The prices are also reasonable and there is a drive-thru to pick up your food order. The interior of the store is clean and a calm environment to eat with your family.

There is no better customer service in town! We picked up dinner tonight and when we got home, we realized our appetizer wasn’t in the bag. When I called, they were so apologetic and offered to deliver it to our home. All of the food is amazing! The sushi is easily the best in town (highly recommend the beach roll) and the hibachi is delicious!

Great food, so many different choices of sushi and other types of food and really amazing staff. Loved the experience and for my first time trying Sake they gave me different types to see what I preferred best before I made a decision on my drink order. We will definitely be going back!!

This place was great. It's fairly new and previously was a bank years ago. It's been converted into a quaint, family run, Asian restaurant.

The family that runs it was extremely pleasant, like they were inviting you into their home for a meal. They even had their young sons helping bring things to the table (honestly, though I think it was probably more of a chore to stop the youngest - probably 4 yrs old. He just wanted to help, would see someone come in an rush to bring them a menu or wrapped utensils.

The food was fresh and very good. Prices were reasonable, comparable to other similar restaurants. We ordered a mix of Sushi and Hibachi. It was all great.

Excellent food. Prepared fresh. Beautiful sushi. Awesome family owned restaurant. They are so friendly and offer drive thru for your take out as well! Highly recommend. Definitely support local and family owned.

Ok y’all! I have something to tell y’all. Myself and two others went to Asuka tonight by the Mighty Dollar off of union rd tonight. And let me tell you something! I was so impressed with the service and the food! But even better was the owner was SO attentive and willing to go above and beyond that to the point it felt like we have know each other for years. We felt like we were the only people for miles because of all the attention. We felt important. Please make sure that you go by and give them a try. I beg for you to do that. Forget the other Asian restaurants in the area. I’m set on this place as my place of choice.

I picked up a to-go order and everything was perfect. The service was great and the food was excellent. The crab rangoons were delicious. I also had a lunch order of the hibachi chicken with fried rice and a salad. Everything was fresh and tasted great. I will definitely be back!
