Tony's Ice Cream

I love Toby’s ice cream! Who doesn’t. They have the best banana ice cream and their milkshakes are simply the best! They are always nice and they work really hard to get your food to you and are super helpful. I love that anytime I do a call in order they always have gotten it right! You just can’t top a chili cheese burger with fries and a milkshake from Tony’s!

What a rare iconic ice cream shop. We always have wonderful service food and ice cream here. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tony's Ice cream is a part of my childhood! So I wanted to share that with my grandson when we visited the great grandparents this last trip
It was just as wonderful as it was 68 years ago. Their grape ice cream is my favorite flavor and you cannot find it anywhere else but here at Tony's!! It was a hit with the kiddo and was a wonderful reminder of how things can stay just as good as you remember when it's a quality product!! Thanks for the memories and great ice cream!!

Best ice cream ever! So many selections to choose from and all of them are delicious. They offer ice cream scoops, sundaes, shakes and also sandwiches, fries etc. The atmosphere is like walking back in time to the 50s - so cool!

You’ve never been in Gastonia if you have not tried Tony’s ice cream. This is an institution and an important landmark in Gaston county. The best icecream in town. I would recommend butter pecan and the banana split.

Alert for 2022- the pumpkin pie ice cream is amazing. Soft and creamy, not overdone or over-spiced, but unmistakenly pumpkin pie. Get it while it lasts! (Bumped it back to 5 stars!)

2021 review. This is a great place for food and for ice cream. On this visit our food was great. They didn't get 5 stars because we were disappointed when the cashier at the food side wouldn't let us order ice cream (like we've done here for years) but said we'd have to go stand in the ice cream line as well. A sign or some warning would have been appreciated since that has never been the case before. Since all tables were occupied we chose not to let our hot dogs get cold and soggy while waiting in line for ice cream and we left.

The milkshakes are awesome! They had many flavors to choose from. Don't ask for a lid or you might misses out on the scoop of ice cream on the top!
You are able to dine in or take out. They also have some food items. Butter Pecan 😋

Been going to Tony’s since the 80s with my family. Hot dogs and banana split my favs. So glad they still open. Tasty as always!

The best place in town hands down besides Blacks BBQ. The have been there since before I was even thought about my Mom & Daddy went there when they we're dating in the 50's that says a lot. The best ice cream banana 🍌 delicious. And there hamburger chili & slaw like the old CDA burger there no longer around. But Tony's ice cream I will for sure be going back more often.

Butter pecan & orange sherbet are quite fantastic. Staff is always very helpful. It's packed everytime we visit. Went again 12/18/19 Wonderful country atmosphere with good people who were born and raised here. They're food is definitely delicious, but I mostly LOVE the ICECREAM!

This is the best (non commercialized) place around to get ice cream. Tony’s has been around for generations and I hope it will continue to be around for generations. They have really great food and the staff is always very friendly. (Cherry vanilla ice cream is the best kind of ice cream to get!) Everything here is delicious and the atmosphere is very family friendly. Always a great time at Tony’s.

If you love ice cream, this is the only place you need to go. Of course they have great hamburgers, hot dogs and other sandwiches. God in and have yourself the best milk shake in town..

The best ice cream in Gaston County! This place is legendary and it’s a must if you are visiting the area. Look up on YouTube the history of this place. Highly recommend! If you ask for a lid, they will know you aren’t from Gastonia. 😉

My husband go here at least 3 X’s a month.. Everyone is so friendly & they always greet you with a smile !!We do one in & get it to go sometimes & eat in the truck . you can’t find a better resturant with ice cream any where.!!! If you’ve never been , I say Go now & treat your self!!!

Awesome place, and staff, owner's are nice and friendly as well, I recommend erthing on the menu and all of the ice creams as well either a cup or most definitely a milkshake, Leto,Angel,Big Mike and Tristan are good peeps, all of the staff is very friendly, energetic, and you always see someone you know,

We love the icecream. Homemade. Generous amounts. Decent cost. Really good chili dogs. Looks rundown but still clean. We are 70 and it's always looked this way. Been coming here all our lives.

I should probably quit eating my food before I submit my review, but I just couldn't wait! Very very good ice cream! I got the chocolate brown cake with peanut butter ice cream while my boyfriend got the chocolate shake (which he absolutely loved). Definitely making it a spot to stop when we pass through Gastonia!

I don't know who the girl is at register, but she just made one of the best cherry lemon sundrops that I have ever had....and full of cherries and lemons!!

Cute local place to eat that has amazing milkshakes, cheeseburgers, and chili cheese fries!
