We worked with Courtney Carter Homes recently and we had a wonderful experience. She was our agent when we bought our new and current home and assisted us in selling our first home . I cannot say enough good things about Courtney and Amy DeMars. They were there for every question and anything and everything we needed help with. If it was not for Courtney, we would not be in our new home today. When we put an offer in, there were already several and she gave us some advice which we gladly accepted and now we are sitting in our beautiful new home. She really cares and she is very professional to work with. If she was going to be unavailable, she made sure that we knew about it and that Amy was there in her place. I would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you ladies for everything. You are amazing and we had a wonderful experience working with your company.

I am gladly writing this review after my experience working with the team at Courtney Carter Homes. After more than 10 years in our home, we decided that it was time to sell and find our forever home. Courtney met with us and after a short conversation had all of the information that she needed in order to guide us through the process. Shortly after we decided that we were serious about finding a new home, one came on the market that fit our needs and desires to a tee. Within 24 hours, we had made an offer (1 of 6 offers made). Once again, we met with Courtney and she spoke candidly about the strategy needed to secure the home. We had full trust and confidence in her expertise, and it paid off completely. Now that we had a new home, we needed to get our previous home sold. Through her guidance, advice, and knowledge of the market, it was pending an offer in less than 25 days. We are now enjoying our new home and closed on the sale of our previous home last week. All is well and we have Courtney Carter and her awesome team to thank for it.

I could not imagine a better realtor than Courtney! When we sold our house we were so clueless and she took every bit of time needed to answer our questions and guide us. She advocated for us and made sure we walked away feeling confident and happy with our transaction! Courtney genuinely cares for her clients on the most sincere level and it shows. Buying or selling a house can be intimidating, but once we had Courtney on our side it was like working with a friend and I trusted that it was all done right. Signing documents and keeping everything organized was also a breeze. I am so thankful for the Courtney Carter Homes Team! BEST EVER!

Courtney and the rest of the staff at Courtney Carter Homes are wonderful!! We reached out to Courtney looking for a realtor to assist us in finding a home in Jacksonville while we were still located in CA. Not only did she do EVERYTHING for us since we were not local at the time, but she found us a perfect home and the transaction went by so smoothly! She’s upfront, honest, and amazing at what she does. We will definitely use her again, should the need come in the future. Recommmend 110%!

I first called Courtney Carter Homes to check out a few houses they were selling for a local builder. At the time, I lived in NY and had only visited NC for a few weeks and was mostly unfamiliar with the area. After checking out the model homes via Facetime I realized the home style wasn’t a good fit for me and my children. With my lifestyle preferences and being a single mom Courtney and I identified the important items on my demand list: a bigger kitchen, an extra bedroom/office space, a more private location (preferably a cup-de-sac or dead-end), in a quality neighborhood and in a great elementary school district.

Courtney immediately took my short demand list and found 2 houses that perfectly fit the bill that were being sold by another builder that she didn’t represent. The one I selected was still being built. Once our offer was accepted, Courtney worked tirelessly to help me select colors, finishes, tile, flooring, marble slabs and more. Working with Courtney and the building manager made the process seamless and easy as I was managing most of the buyer process from NY.

Courtney was not only friendly and reliable, but she proved over and over again that my happiness and comfort in the process was not only important, but necessary.

Thank you Courtney, Amy and the whole Courtney Carter Homes team for helping my children and I move to NC into a beautiful home that had everything we needed and wanted and so much more. We are incredibly happy with our 1-acre, 4 bedroom home in Vista Cay Village... an amazing community full of families and in an excellent school district.

My husband and I worked with Amber Yurecko to find a new home to rent. She is a great realtor and such a wonderful person! We had a bit of a challenge because we needed to find something we could move into as soon as possible that would also accept our three very large dogs. This was clearly no big deal to Amber and she found us a great home in no time! She is extremely knowledgable about all of the properties she showed us, and even knew about the neighborhoods or management companies as well. She's very easy to talk to and easy to reach when we needed any questions answer. Amber works very hard and is great at her job! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs to find a home to rent or buy!

I worked with Amy DeMars and she was wonderful. Our home was custom and had a few things that needed to be fixed but she was always on top of everything. Extremely helpful and staff at Courtney Carter Homes. I had a great experience them and even referred friends who have had nothing but great experiences as well.

I worked with Rebecca Powell when buying our home and I can't tell you enough how amazing she is. From me changing my mind on homes 2x and her having to redo paper work she never got aggravated. I would definitely recommend her!

This is an honest opinion of the job that was completed. I have no reason to lie about what I'm going to say. There's nothing for me to gain or lose, just the truth.

As first time homebuyers we were new to the stressful world of buying a home. We were referred to Courtney Carter buy the builder Sydes Construction Company because of a house that we saw online. As a military family living in San Diego California, we were not able to just jump on flights all the time to come all the way across the country to look at homes.

The initial experience was great and the feel of excitement to find our home filled our hearts with joy. The first thing Courtney had us do was sign an exclusivity agreement to bind us to her alone before we could really talk about homes. She did state that she was a dual agent for the builder. At the time we had no idea what that was. It was right then and there we should have run the other direction. Like I said this was our first process and didn't know any better.

During the process we were extremely interested in a new build home but were open to older homes. We got the vibe that she has a great gig working for Sydes Construction. She or her company can't really work for you or try to make a deal in your benefit. During the negotiations I asked for help and advice and the response was "I'll put whatever you want".
I then asked "what can I ask for?" and "is this reasonable?". Her reply was "I know the builder won't do X,Y and Z". It was at this point that that I knew we were screwed in this process. No help or guidance was given to a first time homebuyers. I made a few decisions later to not go with the recommend of her friends to do the financial work. It's nothing against her recommended loan officer, I just didn't trust Courtney Carter at this point.

We paid due diligence money and the new home build was locked in our name at that point. The very next week, Hurricane Florence...

We asked Courtney if we could do a live video tour of the homes during our choosing process and she happily agreed. But the next day we just received pictures of the house. This was very frustrating as we were in California while all this was all unfolding before us with no control.

After signing with the lawyer the construction company wanted an extra $50.00 from us (I thought was shady and wanted to mess with my family). The realtor company did cover that and they said "that is Courtney's gift to you guys". Since then (3 months) and we didn't even receive a thank you card from them.

All in all a 2 star job. As I said before, I have no reason to lie about what I've said today. Would I reccomend them? If you not buying a new construction from Sydes then yes. If she is a dual agent, I'd suggest a new agent.

I changed it from a 2 to 1 star due to people getting on Google to post 5 stars for boosting...

My wife and I were referred to this company and a particular agent, Rebecca Liard, that had sold a home to someone we know. We gladly met with her when we both had free time. Ms. Rebecca showed us homes that fit what we said we were looking for. She never asked us to sign anything regarding an agreement or anything, in fact, before we started, we told her that we were working with several agents because we wanted what was best for us and the large amount of money we were looking to spend on a home. She agreed and said that it was alright. Ms. Rebecca showed us several homes and we ended up parting ways for the day. Like I mentioned above, we went looking with another agent a few days later and we felt we liked the new agent more than Ms. Rebecca, we never spoke to Ms. Rebecca again, until she contacted the person that referred us to her, which is my family's nanny. My nanny contacted my wife and I starting that she had a text conversation with her regarding our meeting that we had. Ms. Rebecca told my nanny that we showed her disrespect by not continuing to use her as our agent, she said that my wife was weird and that if we shopped around for a real estate agent we would probably shop around for a different nanny without telling her. I took this personal because no one talks about my kids and who watches them. I contacted her agent in charge, Ms. Amy DeMars, regarding this. I told her the story, told her that I have proof of what was said, because I do, and then explained to her what I was going to do; file a county and state real estate commission complaint. She said she understood and it was my right and she assured me that it would never happen again. I thought that would be the last of it. (Side note: Ms. Rebecca was the agent that was trying to sell the home that I was renting while I was trying to to purchase a new home, she knew my landlord and apparently they communicate, as far as I can tell.) Several weeks later, I contacted Amy DeMars again because my landlord had gotten information that she had no access too. I told Ms. Amy that I know that Ms. Rebecca had contacted my landlord and provided her with information that she had no business needing. She said that was the end of it and that Ms. Rebecca had not done anything of that sort. 4 hours later, my landlord had contacted the real estate agent that I used to purchase my home swearing at her and threatening her stating that I committed mortgage fraud because I purchased a home while in a rental contract (my lease didn't state anything about purchasing a home while in contract, even if it did, it was none of Ms. Rebecca business. My landlord also told my current agent that she was going to turn her into the county and state commission because she helped me commit mortgage fraud.

I advise everyone to stay away from this company, any everyone associated with them. I filed a company on the BBB website, which is posted and can be read, which will state the exact same thing this one does. The company responded to it stating that I am the liar and her company and employee had done nothing wrong, Would you want a company full of liars to sell you a home? I filed complaints with the county and state commission, Ms. Rebecca has been contacted by the state commission because I received a copy of the letter from them to her. She will have to answer to what she did. I am certain her and the company will continue to lie about what they did to cover up what she said. Courtney Carter Homes LLC can lie to the BBB and I am sure they will continue to lie to protect their name as best they can. People read reviews and take them seriously.
