This is not a "haircut" place, this is truly a barber shop. Jaimie has to be the Tricities best kept secret when it comes to awesome haircuts. Very clean shop with a great view of a large screen TV. For a very reasonable price you're going to get a high end salon cut by a gentleman who takes pride in his craft. He cuts my sons hair as well. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Jamie is a amazing barber! He cut my late husband hair forever probably 20years until he lost his battle with cancer. During that time Jamie was so humble and gave my husband and even my son a free hair cut whenever needed to help with cancer cost.🖤He’s seen what cancer does to a family and it means so much after my son lost his dad that Jamie still continues to help my family with free cut It’s so heartwarming knowing when we go to Jamie’s shop my son gets that look like this is my daddy’s barber. Jamie has never left us disappointed. Thank you for continuing to keep my son hair looking fresh and feeling like one of the guys when he’s there.

Everyone who says this barbershop is a hidden gem is not lying. I had my appointment today with Jaime and cannot be more satisfied. Confidence level upgraded to 100 out of 10. Best haircut and beard trim/lining that I have ever got. I will be coming back next time I am in town and need a haircut.

This is the only place that I will take my 3 year old son to get a haircut at! Always very clean and the barbers there are very welcoming. My sons’ barber (Omar) has so much patience with him and ALWAYS does a great job on his haircuts; which we always get lots of compliments on. Definitely worth the drive for us since we come from out of town! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great haircut at a very reasonable price!

5 Star Barber Services for Men of Color & an SMP Hidden GEM !!

I've lived in the Tri-Cities for 6 years now. Not being from here and being a black man, my immediate concern was finding reputable barbershop services that could actually tend to black hair, hairstyles, and treatments. I found Majestic via Google and because it was so close to my house, I ventured over to check them out. I met Jaime and Omar and was given their number and App to book an appointment.

Sidebar: I started experiencing moderate hair-loss when I was about 24. I noticed in the shower my hair would be sprinkled in with my shampoo and thought to myself it wasn't anything serious. I went on to serve 12 years in the military which isn't at all known for its high bar for hair care of any race but in my experience, black hair suffered the worse. At 27/28 years old when I found Majestic, my hairline had receded a good inch, inch and a half from progressive hair-loss and improper cutting from inexperienced barbers. I was extremely self-conscious of my hair because it was damaged, falling out and in desperate need of help. I'm a very tall guy and most people cannot see the top of my head, but my hairline which outlines my face and highlights my features was deteriorating.

I was paired up with Omar, who for the better part of 3 years did a fantastic job with trying to salvage what I had left, which wasn't much -- and make me feel whole again, now that I was no longer on active duty. Omar and Jaime became my friends. Back home, the barbershop in the black community is more than just a place you go for a service, it's where you go to find a sense of community, belonging, people with the same or different perspectives than you and its a pillar in communities of color especially if you're looking for connections and friends. I found that at Majestic. After awhile I had a conversation with Omar about my hair and asked him straight up if I should just start shaving it all off, something pretty much everyone said I should do, despite my undeniable objection to. Omar was real and said my hair loss was bad but he agreed that if I didn't want to shave it, I shouldn't and he would continue doing what he could for me. A service I loved and even amidst a global pandemic, sought after when they opened back up.

I looked into professional solutions to help and had a consultation with a professional hair transplant surgeon, who specialized in African American hair and was highly regarded for his ability to restore our hairlines to their original glory (research FUE vs FUT). The price of beauty is high and one treatment (and he recommended due to the nature of my loss, and his ability to only do so much in an 8 hour session-- I have 2) came to a whopping $21,500 for 2,500 graphs, and the doctor recommended I receive at least 6,000= $43k. No matter what you choose, any treatment regardless of the price, only buys you more time and even the doctor informed me that over time even the transplanted units would fall out.

Omar informed me one day that Jaime was getting certified in SMP, something I had researched after I was slapped with that $43k price tag and knew was the best alternative but also knew of all the Horror stories of amateur, inexperienced barbers ruining guys heads faking the funk. After Jaime had a few extremely satisfied customers, I knew it was my time. I went in and had a private consultation and although Jaime was never my barber it was clearly evident the care, research, practice, time, attention and consideration this man put into adding this service to his already reputable barbershop. After the consultation and talking with Jaime and getting to know him and figuring out we had both done the same extensive research, I was sold. I had my SMP treatment done and Jaime is incredibly trustworthy and in the end, GAVE ME MY CONFIDENCE back, something no one could ever put a price tag on.

Had my first cut there yesterday and this is an excellent barber shop. These guys take their time to make sure your cut is on point. Perfectly reasonable price and the staff is very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
