I'm so thankful I was told about Cutler Animal Hospital. After my dog was traumatized at another vet, I was very weary of who I took him to next. I was, and always am, so warmly welcomed by the staff here. Lori, who works at the front desk, is amazing. My dog Lemon is very skittish and shy around new people, and everyone here is always soooo patient, gentle, and soft with him. They talk to you like you're a human and they genuinely care about you and your animals (children). I'll always recommend Dr. Cutler and his team - they're extremely knowledgeable and tentative. I will say, at least in my opinion, that their services are a little on the pricier side, however I believe it's 100% worth it for the incredible service. Thank you for everything!

Can’t recommend Dr. Cutler and his staff enough! Cares for your animals, will talk with you and explain things, only orders tests or recommendations procedures when necessary. Reasonable prices as well.

We drive all the way from Savannah to see dr cutler. He is knowledgeable and not out to overcharge you, incentivize unnecessary treatments. We will continue to trust him with our fur babies!!

Since moving to a new state, I’ve really come to miss the care, compassion, and attention given by Dr. Cutler and his staff. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes at an urgent care appt, and Dr. Cutler’s practice got me in very quickly to get her started on insulin. He and the vet tech spent considerable time making sure I understood how to properly care for her and look out for warning signs. I was able to do my first insulin injection at a special appt just before they opened so that the practice would be quiet and peaceful for my anxious kitty. When monitoring her glucose, Dr. Cutler was always very responsive (even while out of town) and called me personally to give his feedback. Pricing was excellent as well. I honestly wish I could have taken them with me when I moved, as it’s so hard to find a vet that spends lots of time with you, truly cares about your pet, and will be upfront with you on prices and affordability.

We LOVE Cutler Animal Hospital! We switched from our old vet 4 years ago, and there is no going back. We have 3 dogs and my parents have 3- we all love Cutler. Our whole family now brings their babies here.

The staff truly care about your fur babies, and Dr. Cutler always takes the time to explain in depth what needs to be done/ the visit. He is personable and kind, and has a heart as big as himself for animals! My dogs get excited to see him, and that speaks volumes.

The prices are wonderful for the exceptional care that is provided.

Dr. Cutler & his staff are fantastic and my dog loves them. Very knowledgeable, don't do testing for no reason, explain things carefully, always answer all of my questions, etc. Feeling lucky to have found this clinic for my pup and will surely be a long time client!

Dr Cutler is amazing and so caring, but he's also so chill and down to earth. I'd also add they're fairly priced there for the procedures/appointments we've had done with our cats! Would/do recommend!

The best vet in the Charleston area! Dr. Cutler always takes the necessary time and gives that extra level of care to make our puppy comfortable while being thorough in his examination and meeting all her healthcare needs. He also has given us great direction with puppy issues such as housebreaking! Staff is also excellent, professional and accessible. Beautiful new office and state of the art equipment. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Cutler for years and he is wonderful with our dogs. He is so knowledgeable and also has incredible contacts in the animal world so he can refer you to top specialists when necessary. Cutler Animal Hospital and staff have been a life saver, not once but twice. I moved to Charleston in May and had not had a chance to establish a vet. My dog ate something in the yard and was vomiting everywhere. Having worked as a vet tech in previous years, I have background knowledge in veterinary medicine. After calling local emergency vets who refused to see me, I called Cutler Animal Hospital and they told me to come on in. All she needed were fluids and an injection, and she was back to her normal crazy self the next day. The same thing happened yesterday, and at 4:30pm I called and again they were happy to help and told me to come in. I am so happy to have found a reliable and wonderful vet for my crazy pup. So far, she has only needed emergency care, but I will definitely be using Cutler Animal Hospital for routine visits as well! Y'all are the best!

My dog was very ill and I went to his regular vet and they didn’t seem very concerned, I took a friends advice and got a second opinion from Dr. Cutler he was caring, honest and to the point. He knew what was wrong and took steps to make my baby better! My little boy is so much better and I feel confident that he is in the best hands he could be in. The whole staff is wonderful! Laurie is so comforting and caring when she answers phone! Sorry I don’t know everyone’s name but they are all amazing !! Thank you to all of you!!! BTW my baby has heart disease, so it wasn’t a small thing! I feel like he saved my babies life!!

Cutler is the best there is! He is kind and also honest. He is straight forward with what is needed and what is best for your pet. He is willing to go the extra mile for an animal in need. And I love the fact that he doesn't over medicate. SO many vets just prescribe everything under the moon in hopes that something works, but he starts small and works up. Such a huge difference it makes! Highly recommend bringing your pets here!

Dr. Cutler and his staff are absolutely wonderful! He always takes the time to listen and walk through different options and come up with a plan that works for you and your pet. It's evident how much he loves his job - he even recognizes my dog by her bark! Best vet I've found in Charleston!

Dr. Cutler and his staff are the best. Professional, inviting, and honest. They got my sweet pup in fast, pulled his records from a previous vet, and gave me all the tools I needed to help my pup heal. If your looking for a vet in Charleston I would 10/10 recommend!

This was our first visit to Dr. Cutler on the recommendation of a crazy cat lady friend. Cutler is smart, personable, caring, and describes himself as wanting to try the least invasive options first, a strategy I fully agree with. In this case his minimal treatment of our cat worked, and we went home with not just our cat but also a baby dove to rehabilitate over the long 4th of July weekend. DeShawn da Dove is doing much better after a couple of days of regular gavage feeding.

We love Dr. Cutler and are really excited he opened Cutler Animal Hospital. The facility is very nice and conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and the pricing is super reasonable. Dr. Cutler has taken amazing care of all of our animals and we can’t recommend him highly enough for yours.

Dr. Cutler is Charlestons best veterinarian, hands down. He is honest and will not sell you something your pet doesn't need. I would recommend everyone in West Ashley and surrounding areas to visit him. 10/10

We followed Dr. Cutler from his shared practice at All Creatures in downtown Charleston (where we live) to his new, totally modern facility in West Ashley. Dr. Cutler’s “kennel-side” manner is particularly confidence-inspiring and we wouldn’t take any of our three dogs anywhere else.

Dr. Cutler and his wonderful staff (like Lori and Lauren) provide the most amazing care a pet-parent could hope for. His ability to think outside the box, as well as his diverse knowledgebase and the sheer network of pharmacies and clinicians he has connections with worldwide means that your pet will have access to some of the best products and minds anywhere, let alone in South Carolina's lowcountry.

I've had several chronically sick animals with rare, difficult to pin down disorders and misleading symptoms, and the level of above-and-beyond care Dr. Cutler and the vet techs at Cutler Animal Hospital have provided is rarely seen in any medical community, whether it's one in service of human or feline/canine clientele.

There's also no up-selling here- if Dr. Cutler thinks something is a good idea for your pet, he'll tell you what and why, but there's no pressure. He discusses the options in full. Cutler Animal Hospital is that perfect mix of skill, conscientiousness, and affordability.

There's also a refreshing level of personalized service. Dr. Cutler is a well-traveled local who knows the area and what diseases/parasites are common, but is also aware of health trends in other locations. He's truly invested in making his community of animals healthy.

The cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic (natural light! living plants!) and the excellent location (right off of Savannah highway next to the new Whole Foods) with ample parking is especially rare. I live downtown, and it's a short 6-10 minute drive, depending on lights.

Yes, there are lots of vets in West Ashley and in the Charleston-metro area as whole, but Dr. Cutler is one of the best vets anywhere, and we're so lucky to have him here in Charleston. My pets are well looked-after in his care. Now if only I could find a local GP as capable!
