South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) Boerne Imaging Center

I see there are a lot of negative on STRIC - and that is the way people tend to respond when something doesn't go right. I want to say something positive when something goes right - cause we just don't hear that.
Experience: Making Appointment
I just spoke with Monica in scheduling - who was extremely helpful - even through a little bit of confusion on my part. She made a quick appointment for me, and agreed that my previous results along with the current results (once had) should be sent to 2 doctors I have - so they can both see if there are any changes. I honestly expected a little bit of push-back on that request, but there was none. I am pleased I didn't have to fight any rules on that or pay anything extra. Thank you Monica! You represent well!

I have had two MRI's at the Boerne location. Never had to wait long after I got there and the employees have been so kind to make certain I can hear them clearly and read their lips as I am profoundly deaf. Excellent care from all of them!

Carolina at the front was super nice. Polite and efficient.

I recently had to have some tests and had an amazing experience here. The front desk scheduled me for what I needed when I walked in without an appointment and the radiology and ultrasound tech's were reassuring and kind. When your feeling rotten and the staff is so kind, it makes a world of difference.

My son was injured during a football game. He was in A LOT of pain. I could not get a MRI scheduled anywhere, so I decided to walk in STRIC. Anastasia was so helpful and did everything she could to get us seen. We were seen within 20 min. Thank you so much!

Excellent MRI experience. The nurse kept me posted on what was going on - "we'll be done in 3 1/2 minutes," etc. Everything was clean, organized and relaxed. Couldn't be better.

I’ve gone here for years for myself and have always had great service everyone who goes here knows it’s somewhat hit or miss sometimes it takes hours to get a scan sometimes it’s super fast but today especially I’d like to thank the entire staff again for allowing me to help my 92 yr old grandfather fill out forms and sit with him while he had a few ultrasounds done and thank you for treating him with dignity and respect I truly appreciate that, he’s hard of hearing and did not understand what was going on but everyone made him feel comfortable and like I said treated him so respectfully and with dignity so thank you again from myself and my entire family

Went in for MRI. The front desk put wrong area for the procedure on paperwork.
Sheila the MRI technologist realized the mistake and handled it.
Sheila was the most experienced, knowledgeable, capable and professional MRI technologist I’ve ever seen. Also very good with contrast injection. Almost as though she was reading my mind. After several severe injuries in a car accident years I’ve had many.

Much like their overall 2.8* rating indicates, I've had some 5* experiences here and some 1-2*. I guess it just depends on the day. Its frustrating to have an MRI appointment, arrive early, wait an hour past the appointment, go to the front desk, they call back to the tech and say we'll be helped in 5 mins. Amazing how that works; I just wish I'd done it 45 mins earlier. In the end, communication is key. If you're running an hour behind, set the expectation. If your tech messed up and just forgot you, apologize. No biggie.

I have always had wonderful care by the staff, however the front desk staff seemed unhappy. Your job is stressful, I understand that. You set the tone for the entire experience. My mom has terminal cancer, we dont want to be here any more than you do, but she smiles and says thank you. I felt a bit like we were imposing on you. Remember, be kind. I called this center to see if I could just come in with orders or if I needed to make an appointment due to residual Covid protocols. They said I needed an appointment. I made one, for a week out since they had none for that day. It required fasting from food and drink for several hours beforehand and they gave me my prep info. They gathered all info including my insurance information. When I arrived for my appointment, they said I had no appointment. They were polite, but as they tried to fit me in they kept repeating I had ade no appointment which was offensive as I did, but whoever scheduled it failed to get it into the computer appropriately. They tried to accommodate me by fitting me into the schedule in 40 minutes, claiming it would likely be sooner, but in the end it was just over an hour. Frustrating but not abysmal.
