I’ve been a patient for several years. Staff is pleasant and efficient.
Dr. Coates takes time to hear my concerns and either recommend a treatment or refer me to a specialist.
Doesn’t seem to underplay or overstate the severity of the tests and symptoms.

Love the way Dr Coats explains things where the average person can understand what is happening in their body. Staff is accommodating. Same day appointments when necessary. My doctor has got it together!

I’ve been seeing family doctors for quite a while being a AARP member. This being said, my experience with Dr Coates and his entire staff has been the best! Dr. Coates is the most professional, compassionate and genuinely caring physicians I have had the good fortune to be affiliated with for many many years. His treatments are conservative and occasionally aggressive when a significant injury calls for that. I am moving out of state and doubt I will find another physician like him. I have driven from north Dallas and ultimately Frisco to see him. I highly recommend Dr. Coates if you are looking for a doctor who takes the time to listen, explain treatments and the pros and cons of medications. He is truly one of a kind.

Dr. Coates has always been the ultimate professional to me. I have been going to him for better than 5 years and he has been honest and super helpful. The girls at the front desk have also been very responsive and helpful. I now live in Farmersville and still go to Dr. Coates for the reasons mentioned.

Dr. Coates goes above and beyond every time to make me feel comfortable (anxious at the doctor always), and takes extra time to make sure I understand everything completely. He is the best doctor I have ever had. Patient for life!

Dr. Coates is the very best family doctor I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Aside from being an all around good person and really caring about his patients, Dr. Coates is a SMART guy. He does research, stays up on new treatments, and goes the extra mile to ensure he's doing all he can for his patients. I'd recommend Dr. Coates to anyone in search for a family physician.

Dr. COATES IS ONE OF THE SMARTEST MD-Do I've ever met. He is experienced in so many different areas. He really knows alot.

Dr. Coates office has been nothing but fantastic. Everyone that works there is very outgoing and helpful. Dr. Coates is extremely knowledgeable and cares for his patients. I am proud to have him as my general practitioner. I hope to be a returning patient for years. Anyone needing an experienced familiar doctor should choose Dr. Coates.

Dr. Coats is awesome! I’ve been going there for years and I always enjoy going each time. Dr coats always asks how me and my family are doing, and always makes us laugh. He asks and listens to what is going on when I’m there, and solves every medical problem I have. His assistants are awesome, too. If you wait a long time in the waiting room, it’s because he is taking time with his other patients, because he cares. So be prepared to wait at some appts. Thanks Dr. Coats!

From my first visit, over 10 years ago, I found Dr Coates to be personable and knowing. His staff ask probing questions and in over a decade he has not let me, or my family, down. I have gone in with just about all issues from a simple splinter infection to a damaged rotator cuff and even H1N1. Of course there are times where the wait is longer but that is to be expected from time to time.

Dr. Louis Coates is one of the most respectful, professional, and easy to deal with doctor I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I had a negative experience upon my first attempt at an appointment as a first time, uninsured patient, but within a matter of hours, Dr. Coates addressed me personally and offered a follow up visit on generous terms. His work greatly improved the quality of my life. He is absolutely NOT a pill pusher, as some reviews have suggested, rather cautious/conservative with prescriptions. I often lecture college business courses, sometimes with up to 100 students, and will be citing this personal experience with Dr. Louis Coates as an example of wonderful customer service. Thank you so much! I will not hesitate to send referrals. Like I said, a bad first time experience (absolutely not at the fault of Coates), but an eventual perfect resolution. I started using Dr. Coates about 14 years ago on a recommendation from the mother of one of my sons' friends and my entire family has used him ever since. Dr. Coates always take time with you no matter how busy he is. His entire staff has always made us feel that we are important and not "just another patient". I would highly recommend! Professional and helpful. You know what type of people you are dealing with when a problem presents itself. I was frustrated with my prescription and thought it hadn't been called in. I left a message and was promptly called back and was assured that it had been sent and the pharmacy that it was sent to. Well, I called the pharmacy again and was told it hadn't been. This was upsetting to me so I went down to Dr Coates office to complain. So guess what? They HAD called it in. I saw where they had. Here I was a frustrated customer and they had done nothing wrong. This is when I realized how wonderful they are. They did not get angry with me. They were patient and kind. Jennifer in particular was an angel! It is nice to have a place of business turn your day around! Thank you and your kind staff Dr Coates!

Dr Coates is very understanding about your needs and very up to date on times with electronics and keeps all your records electronically he has been more helpful then my neurologist that I use to see in Mesquite, Texas. I highly recommend him for any family doctor or regular monthly check ups he is very nice and understanding. I am so glad I found him because he is the best !!!
