Food was really had fried pickles for a appetizer and Texas loaded potatoe that had chopped up chicken fried steak in it really good😊 . My fiance had chicken fried steak with a salad and french fries . Oh yea can't forget about the cornbread I mean jalapeño cornbread was very good that had little pieces of corn in it also very good

Amazing what you find when you drive alternative routes instead of the interstate. The Coffee Shop Cafe is one of the most enjoying places to stop and enjoy their wonderful food. Great for the whole family in an afternoon drive. 👍's up and a Great 5 🌟's has to be given here. Going back again. Update: 17 June, 2023. This coffee shop is far more than coffee. Has not changed from the last time here. Food and service is outstanding. A Buffet that is great and all you can eat. I highly recommend this restaurant 👍. Great for the whole family. Always a 5⭐ restaurant. Update: 13 Mar, 2024. A wonderful afternoon driving to the Coffee Shop Cafe. Looking at the Blue Bonnets along the sides of Hgy 317. Once there , had a wonderful lunch, Buffet. Always excellent foot and of course great service.

Old school cafe with rustic decor. The no frills breakfast we had was excellent and reasonably priced! We had the western omelette and the coffee shop special. Hash browns and thick-cut bacon were nice and crisp. The sausage patties had a nice kick of spice, thick and crumbly. The pancake was huge and fluffy. Homemade biscuits. Omelette had lots of flavor. Definitely a place to go if you have a hankering for breakfast!

I wasn't expecting a buffet, but was so thrilled that they had one! Everything was absolutely delicious, lots of comfort foods that taste like Grandma's home cooking. Really fun atmosphere with lots of fun ephemera on the walls to see! The staff couldn't have been friendlier and made me feel right at home. And George Bush himself eats there quite often! I highly recommend this to anyone passing through.

If you want to try authentic American homemade food, this is the place to go. It's still unforgettable fresh meat and cornbread.

I had a veggie omelet and fruit bowl. Both were great and our server was awesome. The atmosphere is relaxed and I would definitely go back. If I could I would rate them even higher

We love eating the home style cooking here. Senior buffet is a great value! Their pies are awesome.

We had a large group of people take up one half of the building for our friends engagement party and the restaurant was packed. The food was timely and the service was quick and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Great service for a busy night. The food was delicious. Plenty of left overs to take home. 2 meals with appetizers and desserts, for $32.00.

This place is so wonderful!! Great attentive staff. Clean food area. First time here an will be back. They have a full menu. But also have a buffet. The food was very good an hot an fresh. Salad bar is awesome too. An they give you cake an ice cream. For dessert with the buffet.

Great place to eat and very nice staff. My waitress was incredibly nice and great at her job (she should get a promotion or something). I got a 8 oz steak with potatoes and corn for only $14. The food came out really fast and tasted very good. Highly recommend anyone to go and check it out.

Great place, good food! Fed a family of four and tipped the waiter ten and still was under $50 bucks. Hard to do nowadays.

Oh My Gosh!! Driven by here many times but just never worked out to stop. Finally did today and absolutely more than happy and satisfied. Really homey and warm and family feel from the moment you are greeted then sat down. Crystal our waitress was the best. Friendly great smile efficient informative and just made you feel like you were her only table although it was really busy from 1130 til 1230 when we finished. The lunch buffet had yummy baked catfish, chicken fried steak bbq chicken collard greens corn...basically everything and a great fresh salad bar. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for great food great people and the best homestyle food I've tasted..a MUST go..!

We live in McGregor and absolutely love is place. A family friendly atmosphere. Delicious food. And the employees are great!
