Wildflower Cafe

Food was delish!! Didn't try the famous Tomato Pie because I hate tomatoes but what I did have was sooo good. Such a cool little dive in Mentone. I got the Nachos as an appetizer and it was unusual but so much better than typical Nachos. I had the Chicken Ranch Wrap and chips for my meal. Service was pretty good too especially since they were super packed. It is a small place and was a long wait time but well worth it. We will definitely go back!!

This is an eclectic little place tucked under a canopy of trees, surrounded by beds of flowers that were entering into their slumber. The building is a mood in itself. You find yourself relaxing and going with the vibe. There was a young guy singing karaoke style songs, but not in a drunken bar singer karaoke style; this guy was great and had a variety and he nailed every single one.
The menu is quite extensive and we settled on the smothered chicken and the salmon. Both were plated with steam veggies and mashed potatoes. We were pleased with everything. We ended the meal with the peanut butter pie that was more like cheesecake and we weren't upset about it.
If you only ordered dessert you would be happy.
The service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Recommend getting there before open so as to be seated in the first wave. We chose tomato pie and shrimp and grits bowl. Perfection!
By the time we departed, it was a 2 group wait, and dinner was completely booked.
Again, it's worth it.

This place exceeded my expectations with its incredible food! Despite trying to keep my expectations low, the hype was definitely warranted. The Parmesan dip was heavenly, disappearing in no time, and even my kids wanted to lick the bowl clean. The tomato pie I had was absolutely scrumptious, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We topped off our wonderful dining experience by sharing crepes and peanut butter pie, both of which were incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was unique and fun, unlike anything I had experienced before.

My wife and I went on a drive up to mentone and she had heard about this place and we decided to try it ! And it is awesome food is great love the decor,the store! And atmosphere!

Amazing spot in a beautiful town with terrific food and the owner Moon is fantastic. I hope CNN advertising doesn't overcrowd the town. Lol. It's a lovely place with wonderful food, REAL burgers, tomato pie you have to try, artwork and just cozy.

I love this place! Everything tastes amazing. The shrimp and grit are awesome, get them fully loaded. I got the Famous Tomato Pie. It was delightful. If it's winter definitely go for the hot chocolate. The gift shop is super cute. Staff is very welcoming. Can't wait to come back!

The young lady we had as our server was great. It was our first visit and she told us what she enjoyed. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap, my wife had the Canyon burger with cheese. The derby pie was amazing. The soft drinks are canned drinks. We will be going back.

I really enjoyed this neat place. The service was amazing and food was top tier as well. Next time we're in the area we will definitely stop by to try something new. I had the prime rib and my wife had the Tomato pie, both were really really good. Oh did I mention the desert? I had the carrot cake and the wife had the buttermilk pie. I advise you to call ahead and make a reservation. Thank you guys again for a wonderful experience, we'll be back!!!

Tucked back behind the trees sits a beautiful Wildflower in full bloom. It patiently waits for the canopy above to open so that you can see it in its full splendor.
We made a quick anniversary trip and this was the main place we wanted to visit in this area because of the reviews we have read.

The eclectic atmosphere that you find yourself enveloped in while being greeted by some of the friendliest staff you will find in Mentone helps to set the expectations high of the amazing place. Their is beauty everywhere your eyes look in its very own unique way and we haven’t even started on the food.
We decided for the Filet Mignon which was absolute perfection (kudos to the Chef).
As busy as they were the waitress was always right on time to meet any needs. Between the attention to detail with the staff and the flavors exploding from the food we couldn’t just leave without visiting one more time for Brunch!
It didn’t disappoint! The Brunch sampler with the Tomato pie and Quiche is a must!!

We will definitely be back and I understand why the Wildflower Cafe is on a must do list. If it’s not on yours…It needs to be.

Really enjoyed our experience. Had the spinach Quiche on spinach salad. It was fantastic and there was so much... Plus a side of the mushroom wild rice 😊 My husband got a shrimp and grits with sausage if you enjoyed this as well.

We always come to Wildflower Cafe when we stay in DeSoto State Park. It’s a very cozy quaint little restaurant and shop!! The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and the art is beautiful!! I usually get the quiche, but have had the tomato pie is great too! They have a sampler platter that is wonderful if you don’t know what you eat!! The peanutbutter pie is delicious!!!

Quaint little place with very good food. They close between 3pm and 4pm and that was the only hiccup to our visit, we arrived at 2:30pm and had to come back. The loaded tomato pie was delicious and was a large amount of food! The hummingbird cake, I had to take to go! I do recommend this as a wonderful place to eat.

Perfect. Very nice hostess, waitress, clerk, dining area. Food was great and at a very fair price. You gotta look for it. It's not your everyday restaurant. Then, they are not your average staff. Great job you all. I look forward to another lunch if I ever get back to your lovely state of Alabama.

I had the brunch sampler with the chicken salad option and my husband had the shrimp and grits with a burger. Both of our meals where delicious. We even spoke with the owner, Moon. She was very nice. Highly recommend eating here. Btw, we were told that if you want to eat there in the evening, recommend calling in to make a reservation.

This little place was the cutest. The food was delicious and the strewberry lemonade was the best I have ever had. We had to get the dessert to go because we were so full. We also had fun looking at all the local art they have on display too.

Wow. Outstanding. Came upon this place by accident when we decided to randomly detour to Alabama coming home from Florida to New England. This cafe is a destination in itself! Try the loaded shrimp and grits... outstanding! Sweet tea delish...and derby pie! Why does New England not cook like this! Excellent.. excellent food and service! Thank you!

We went yesterday for a birthday brunch for my daughters 18th birthday with my husband and two girls and it was perfect! Service was phenomenal, and the food was outstanding! My husband had the tomato pie with grilled chicken on the side and we all had burgers (one vegan burger) and they were all perfect! (My husband has now asked me to find and cook that tomato pie for him! He said it was delicious!!) Will DEFINITELY be going back again!!! The whole place was super neat!!! Loved the fresh flowers on our table too! Thanks Wildflower Cafe for a lovely day!!
