Brow Park

Absolutely beautiful! I’m so thankful for this public access brow. We saw so many wonderful views while in Mentone, but they weren’t in locations where we could take pictures (as they were mostly on winding, two-lane roads climbing the mountain). So, we were thrilled to finally find a spot to see the breath-taking view. We got there just in time for the amazing sunset. ❤

This view was breathtaking. The dogs had a lot of fun climbing up and down the rocks. As long your dogs are on a leash, they a totally allowed to enjoy the view as well. The park itself isn’t very big, there are only about 3 tables. There is also a little pavilion that looks like it could be rented, but there are no tables on it, only a covered concrete slab.

The views are breathtaking. If you are looking for a place to sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, this is a great place. We stopped at a little cafe to eat lunch and then came here to take in the sights. I brought my mother and her friend (78 & 81.) We parked by the picnic area and got right out. It’s very peaceful and serene.

Great place to watch the sun set, we didn't get to see it as we were just passing through but I bet it gets crowded on the weekends. The park has two pavilions with picnic tables & chairs but is located across private residence so you might want to park away from the houses. All in all a good place to relax and take in the view.

Absolutely stunning view .We didn’t get to see a sunset because of the clouds and rain but I look forward to coming back hopefully in the fall with all the colors to see it.

The photos don't do it justice. Brow Park is on top of the ridge of the mountain and there is a nice walkway to the end of the ridge. At the end you can see 2 valleys come together. So beautiful.

Gorgeous view facing West, catch stunning sunset. Rocky brow on top of Lookout Mountain, basically "downtown" Mentone. Several parking spots and picnic tables. This area is directly at side of road, so wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms nor vending at park.

Breathtakingly Beautiful views! Great place to stop and relax see the sights in front of you. Amazing Sunsets!!

Awesome panoramic views and clean free public park.

My wife’s family is from Mentone “the mountain”. We took the kids up to visit and did some walking. Brow park has awesome views and great picnic areas! On a clear day you can see for miles!

Such a beautiful place to visit. I waited today for an hour to capture the sunset at the park. The folks I ran into at the park were so nice and welcoming, so regreshing!

I was in Mentone for my first time on Sunday. While most the town isn't open Sunday I did have lunch at The Wildflower Cafe. It's a unique little place with a lot of local artists displaying their work for sale from photography, painting and ceramics cups bowls and other unique creations. I walked around the town and looked at about the surroundings. It's very quaint and unique in in its on right. I attended a celebrating of a life from a major influence of the town Jimmy Rogers who recently passed..he has done many things to improve the town and the people their thought highly of him and wanted to gather and Celebrate the memory of what he meant to them and the town he loved so dearly. I met so many wonderful people there and plan many trips back to become involved in more of their lives and the town so many visit to see why Mentone has a name a history and a place in the hearts of so many.

Having visited Mentone for 40+ years, it is a pleasure and a privilege to have public access to the brow. One of my favorite pastimes is to walk from Camp Laney to this park on a Saturday, making sure to stop by the market (so long as it's between 10 and 1).

It's a nice spot to watch the sunset. One of the easy spots to get to in order to appreciate the scenery in Mentone.

05/18/2019 Rhododendron Festival 2019
My Sister, friend, and I attended the festival this year and walked the brow. The view from here is so spectacular. You appear to be able to see to eternity. The sky was clear and blue and a slight breeze was blowing, making the temp tolerable. Vendors were set up all along the park and parkway. Such an amazing gathering of crafters and food/drink. WildFlower Cafe had a remote tent set up for those who couldn’t get to the Cafe’ or didn’t want to go that far. The tomato pie was delicious. Granny’s Pies was present and had tasty pies for all. I also purchased some boiled peanuts. We all purchased some peanut and pecan brittle and fudge. They purchased caramel popcorn. I bought us all a fresh squeezed lemon aid. We didn’t get anything bad. We loved seeing all the vendors handi-works; and will never forget that spectacular view and the scenery. We are already planning to visit again and see what town has to offer. Love Mentone, AL.

Small little area but has picnic tables that are covered, a place for grilling, and the view is spectacular!

Beautiful little spot to picnic or just just enjoy the beauty. Looks out over the valley and is amazing

Awesome view going to take a long weekend there. Plenty of vacation rentals along the senic drive.
