Broad Arrow Tavern

We decided to make our first visit to Broad Arrow to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and had the best lunch ever. We had oven roasted muscles, grilled scallops, and duck breast. Be sure to dip your bread in the muscle broth, it is addictive. Everything was prepared to perfection and the side dish was as delicious as the main. Dessert was a blueberry and peach crisp that was to die for. I honestly can't say that I've had a better meal. The decor is rustic outdoors which is perfect for Maine. The tavern has a fireplace in the middle of the room and a wood-fired oven in the kitchen making the atmosphere delightful. Our server was friendly and attentive considering we came in at the tail end of a busy lunch crowd. I will definitely visit again the next time I'm headed to LL Bean down the street.

I stopped here for some food on an early Wednesday afternoon. The entrance to this restaurant is through the hotel it is attached to. Wasn’t too busy at the time.

The inside has a bar and a table area. I opted to be seated outside as it was a nice day. The outside patio has a few tables with a nice small garden surrounding you from the street. There is a large overhanging tent which protects you from too much sunlight. Because of the angles of the building, the garden, plus the tent this is actually a low breeze area. It can get very warm here.

I was attended to quickly and the waitress was friendly and amicable.

I had one beer, the Freeport seasonal. I believe it was a bitter pale ale and I found it to be quite tasteful.

For my entree I had the Tavern bacon cheeseburger with fries. The food was great and I would definitely revisit.

Excellent food in a nice warm friendly atmosphere. You can see the brick oven from your table. Had the blackened haddock sandwich. It was perfect. The sweet potato fries were also very tasty. Not soggy and depressing.

Lobster fettuccine had spinach and tomatoes in the sauce. The noodles were extra wide (double) but was very enjoyable. My wife said her haddock was very good. Great place. Excellent for entertaining. Extensive selection of beers. Just loved the place. Highly recommend.

Wonderful service. My cocktail of choice was not on the menu. When I asked, the server was not familiar with it. But the bartender looked it up and made one for me. It was delicious. Apricot Stone Sour.

What a delight! We ended up here almost by accident, and I can’t wait until we are dining in Freeport again! The food is excellent, our server was personable and funny, and the outdoor patio is lovely. We ordered the gazpacho, Buffalo cauliflower, pork loin, and lobster roll. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the made to order chocolate chip cookie and homemade ice cream!

We had a great experience at Broad Arrow! The food was delicious and our waiter was great. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for some small town fare.

Fantastic food and top torch service. The steak I had was perfectly cooked and the lobster roll was excellently crafted. To find the restarant you can park in the hotel’s lot, enter in the back doors, head up the stairs, take a left and walk down the hallway next to the front desk. A bit complicated, but that’s because the restarant itself is inside the hotel. Overall we had an excellent meal.

Fantastic restaurant with local ambiance and flavor. I had the lobster fettuccine and it was amazing! My wife had the whole maine lobster and loved it! We started with the crab cakes and those were very good as well. Pretty busy place and the service was great!

You will not be disappointed. Their chowder is delicious!! The waitress we had was down to earth and great to talk to. She could tell we were exhausted from traveling and really had as laughing. I don't know her name but she really was great -absolutely made my night.

Food is so fresh and they are accommodating with certain food issues (dairy, gluten, veggie etc)

LOVE the food! Paid $20 for the buffet & got everything-soup, salad, main course, desert & a drink! The flavors were out standing. The atmosphere was wonderful. They even had a well stocked bar. Highly recommend going. Wonderful staff.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! the buffet is amazing! Super fresh and local. Small portions so the turnover is high. The chefs are behind the counter and not only friendly but very helpful. Price is well worth it. The quality of food is top notch! Also the menu has some great offerings.

Cool place. Reminds you of a college town in the movies. Our food and service were good.

First time there. Waiter super friendly and professional. The fish tacos and reubin sandwich were generously portioned. Quality, taste and prices were spot on!

We visit the Broad Arrow on a regular basis, more during football season. I usually sit at the small bar if there are seats available, (wish it was bigger). I'm a Budweiser drinker-$4.63 for a bottle and it's always nice and cold. A Maine Beer Company Lunch will run you $9.26 and that's the going rate for this type of beer. I've had a few good meals when seating in the dining space but at the bar I usually just get an appetizer like the chicken wings-$16. They are nice and crispy and you get a decent amount. A little pricey but the Broad Arrow is an upscale type of place attached to the upscale Harraseeket Inn.
Usually a nice crowd, depending on the time and the service is always fast and friendly. If you are coming to Freeport then the Broad Arrow is the best place to visit for lunch or dinner.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Our waitress was welcoming and helpful as we were new to the area visiting from Louisiana. It was a little interesting finding the door to the restaurant and the parking was questionable. The food was delicious and highly recommend the lobster Rangoon!

Were walk-ins for dessert. Was sat next to the fireplace, with a roaring fire:) wood fire that is! I had the cheesecake w/raspberry, my son had the crème brûlée. And a Johnny Walker Black in a snifter. Perfect end to a wonderful day. Thanks to all the great staff of The Broad Arrow Tavern.

Great food and service. Our server was Erica she was attentive and consistently checked on us and provided excellent service. I ordered the Lobster stew and Lobster and Bacon Grilled cheese which was YUMMY 😋!

Excellent fresh lobsta! That's right, that's how you properly pronounce lobster in Maine. LOL. Seriously though, very fresh & tasty lobster and the absolute most delicious bacon wrapped scallops I've ever had. Great drinks from their full bar tops it all off.

We stopped at Broad Arrow as visitors to Freeport while camping. It's a quaint little spot attached to an Inn but felt like its own place
Our server Celeste was absolutely phenomenal! She was so courteous, kind, funny, and accommodating of our seating requests. She checked in often and always made sure we had what we needed. All servers nearby seemed very friendly too. Outdoor seating was plentiful too and beautifully landscaped. The calamari was the BEST I have ever had -- so unique and flavorful, you gotta try it! Appetizers and food came so fast. We're so glad we stopped by!
