Leo's Coney Island Birmingham

For being a basic Coney Island Diner I gotta say overall it was a really good experience. Compared to the other breakfast establishments in the area and price point you can't go wrong. Prices are reasonable for a basic breakfast. The eggs were cooked to order, food came out hot with generous proportions. Best of all there was absolutely no wait to be seated on a late Saturday morning! Our waitress was spot on and accommodating. When in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

They really need to update their payment methods. I literally could not pay for my food because they didn’t except any tap and I had no other form of payment. They did go by the honor system. So I will be going by there to pay for my dinner as soon as I possibly can. Sometimes I really just wish you would go back to Cash. He said it would be easier go digital it’s gonna be faster not once has it ever been faster than pulling cash out of your pocket!

My recent visit to Leo's Coney Island Birmingham was a refreshing experience, particularly with their Greek salad on the menu. This place is very busy, especially on the weekends. The staff are good natured and supportive. As a coney island, I love to eat in any of the restaurants they have.

We went to Leo's after seeing a movie. We were pleased to know that the restaurant stayed open late. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. Our server was really friendly. The food was good. We will definitely keep Leo's in mind when in need for late night meals.

I could hear that the kitchen team was a little confused with my order. It came out perfect.

I did a doordash pickup order late, around midnight. They were still open and had a couple customers inside sitting down eating. The staff was very friendly, acknowledged me soon as I walked in and made sure I was helped. I ordered the lemon soup, a grilled cheese sandwich and a fruit punch. I had to eat softer foods since I got my tooth pulled that day. The food was hot, tasted good, and made me very satisfied. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

FYI they have the Impossible Burger now!! I've been coming here with my friends for years & struggled to find a good veggie option for a meal, but not anymore! :)
This place is the best for everything; a quick lunch, catching up over coffee or a late night snack. All the staff is super sweet & accommodating. The Birmingham Leo's is the best Leo's!!!

About a week and a half ago two waitresses was working their tails off during a busy holiday season, I hope they got a raise for working hard.

Food was still good and waitstaff present and helpful even at 2am!

I’m leaving a 5 star review for the waitress Candy. I saw her tolerate thee most insane and irate customers last night 10/2/22. She didn’t have to put with any of it. But kept her head high and kept handling business. And to the other wait staff there, they did their best to handle the crowds even with 3 staff members short.

Fantastic service, usually great food, but the cook the other day had no idea what he was doing and sent out the wrong plate not just to us but other people several times while we were there.
After getting the wrong plate twice I still had to argue with the host to get an additional charge off my bill that shouldn't have been there

Great budget diner! The servers are phenomenal. Roxie is a delight to say the least!

The staff and the girls are awesome. The waitress staff deserve all the respect they should be given... They're always kind, friendly and helpful and very sweet hearted.

Food reasonably priced, the waitress was super chill, this establishment stays open 24/7, and he food was amazing. There were a lot of high young adults when I went nearing midnight, so if that's not your cup of tea, I don't recommend it late at night. We also waited a while for our food because the chef had to make a batch of gravy, but the food was worth the wait.

Friendly, fast, hot and fresh all day and all night! I love that they're 24/7 as I work midnights and not much else is open. The only thing I might nitpick is that how the menu items are prepared seem to vary depending on which cook is preparing the food. It's always good though, just not always consistent. Either way, great place, great food.😉

Gia Gjurashaj was my waitress and she held it together when some mayhem was going on within the building. Best waitress in the whole building, definitely recommend.
