Lester Park Trails & Playground

Great place to drop the bikes and head anywhere. We opted for the trail to canal park. Very bumpy paved trail. The bark was beautiful and lots of parking. Found the bike repair area super helpful to fill up the air in our bike tires.

A great place to walk and enjoy nature. Good for all ages. Lots of wild flowers (we even saw lady slippers)

Beautiful. Most of the trails were closed. We stopped at each of the bridges. It was a nice, easy walk.

This is a great park with trails that run along Lester River. Views are awesome. Wear good hiking shoes and bring water if you intend to do the full loop.

Such a cool spot, just on the north end of duluth. Great for trail walking or off trail hiking near the river, which is what we did.

I love this park. There are trails that you can cake hike, bike, snowshoe, ski and explore in what ever way you like. People swim here in the little river and even camp out sometimes (not sure if it's technically allowed but I've seen it a couple times). It's a great spot for all ages!

Walking trails, biking trails, rivers, swimming, and grilling. Lester Park offers a lot of nature in a small, easily accessible locale right in the city. Absolutely love it!

A beautiful nature walk on the edge of Duluth! A hidden gem! With the water level low I could walk right down on the rocks that would otherwise be submerged. Such beautiful views!

Enchanting place I was lucky enough to grow up with. Kids love swimming down by the whole, and the park is spacious with tables and BBQ grills open for public use. Miles of trails connected to a cross country ski trails. You might notice while exploring there are two separate rivers here, Lester and Amity. If you explore these up river you'll find additional swimming pools.

I would rather drive an hour and swim in this river than swim in one of the many lakes closer to our home... water is beautiful. Clear and clean and always cold. A gem 💎.

Great place to bring the kids, swim, hike, bike, and cross country ski in the winter. I help out Parks and Rec by volunteering to clean up when there's any trash, but very clean. Close to Lake Superior and Brighton Beach too.

Definitely an easy and enjoyable stop right in Duluth. My dog and I travel up to the north shore quite a bit and he always loves stopping for a swim in the low key river pools.

Decent amount of hiking around, spots for families, cool areas to bike around and swim- overall a really great area to go and get outside. Bring your fur babies as well and go get after it!

Beautiful trails and plenty of amazing sights. This is hands down one of my top favorite places to go. There is something for everyone and it's peaceful

Very nice fun waterfall that had made memories with me and my family (and cousins.) I saw some divers jumping from the very top which scared me a lot but that's okay, they knew what they were doing. There were plenty of people without masks but what are ya gonna do, swim with a mask on? I would definitely go back if I had the chance. Just don't slip on the rocks and you'll be okay.

A beautiful open area between two rivers and forest to explore. Huge park with a playground, benches and tables, portable outhouses, a pavilion, baseball field with a fence, and plenty of trails.
