Marshall Hardware

This place is great and always has been, living in Lakeside it can feel like we are a million miles from anything but whenever I've needed pretty much anything hardware store-related these guys have it. My favorite part is that when you walk in, there is always someone there to greet you and I don't even bother trying to find whatever I'm looking for because they are always eager to help you locate whatever do-dad that you're trying to get. Rarely have I left without the exact piece of hardware that I need. I've had screen doors re-screened, glass cut, rented rug doctors, and found pieces to repair all kinds of odds and ends. Marshalls is a Lakeside institution and I hope they don't change a thing and stay vigilant. May they last a thousand years!

I looked around everywhere to find a valve stem for an old tub faucet that needed replacing. Nobody anywhere else was able to help me. These guys had the model number for me in less than 5 minutes & told me where I could go to get it because they didn't currently have it in stock. I was shocked at how quickly they had it figured out after all the trouble I'd been through.

I love this little place and its kind, helpful, knowledgeable people, and I feel so lucky to live just a few blocks away! Sometimes, I just walk here to buy a little something when I'm feeling blue and in need of a smile.

Faucet was dripping... Talked to clerk at hardware store. He knew what I needed, pointed it out and basically told me how to change out the old cartridge and put in the new one. Got the job done in about 15 minutes, and only swore... 8 times? 😊

There aren’t enough good things to say about Marshall Hardware! The staff here constantly underscore the importance of supporting your local hardware store. AJ and Steve have offered us countless advice on DIY projects; I honestly don’t know how we’d get anything achieved without them. We’re so incredibly grateful for Marshall Hardware - from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for ALL that you do!!!

By far my favorite hardware store ever. I have been going here for the last 16 years. The customer service is unparalleled. They are actually able to help you find the right things for the job and offer advice on how to do it. It is small in size but somehow they are able to fit mostly everything you need inside. A little more spendy then a big box store but well worth it

Steve is very knowledgeable regarding old plumbing hardware. Had an old plumbing part he was able to identify, that both big box stores had no idea even what is was. Ha. One of the last true hardware stores in the area.

After 5-10 trips in for projects ranging from plumbing tune ups to building a canoe yoke, Marshall has always had the goods. The staff are friendly and knowledgable in a way you infrequently see at bigger stores. Go to Marshall for great service!

Wonderful store and employees!! Knew exactly where to find what I needed. Could not believe the variety and amount of things in this store! Something seriously for everyone..kids shopping with their parents to the handyman looking for that part for the next project. So thankful we stopped in!!!

This store is the best! I can walk in with my latest half done project and say "I am looking for something that I can use to make "x" happen here..", and they will find or make it for me. Always great service from familiar faces. And my dogs like to visit too - they know just where the treats are behind the counter!

Small store- but every inch is covered in merchandise. My go-to is saying what I'm looking for as soon as I walk in, as the employees know the locations for everything and it's much quicker if I need to get in&out. But 'wandering around' can be fun too! Helpful and always friendly. Love the quick convenience of having this in the neighborhood!

Remember stores that had people in it that were knowledgeable with what they sold? These folks here at Marshalls are first rate. Stand by their products and always go the extra mile for their customers. My ten year old loves going with me here as they have tons of things he is interested in. All home projects start here for us, and we love all the staff at this wonderful hardware store.

Okay Marshall has it. 300 piece puzzle, outdoor wood filler, bungee cord. Plus they repair windows, screens, the list keeps going on. Stop it they will help you find it, or find a replacement or give suggestions how to fix it. Oh they have vintage Hot Wheels too.

I have lived in Lakeside off and on for the last 15 years. I love Marshall Hardware. They always remember me when I come in and will help me with everything. The staff is outstanding! Yes, you may pay a little higher price, but you would never get this great service anywhere else. I would recommend everyone to shop here.

I love this store!! I walk in and say, "I need (this)," and no matter how obscure I may think it is, they say, "Sure, it's right over here." They have EVERYTHING. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At other stores, you get this special treatment only if you're a "regular" customer. I felt like a "regular" customer from the first day I went there. Now I AM a regular customer.
