Gems of La Costa

I went there to repair the clasp on a gold chain that has been in my family for a long time. The young lady in the front was very kind when I arrived, took the chain quickly back to the jeweler, and much to my surprise handed it back to me fixed just a few minutes later. They then refused to take my money, said it was something they were happy to do for me free of charge. I will certainly be passing their name along whenever possible and I wanted to leave this glowing 5-star review as well. A wonderful store run by good people. You won't go wrong w/them!

We had a great experience at Gems of La Costa! Rhonda helped us through the whole process of creating my engagement ring and it turned out so beautiful. She also sent us with a little bling for our puppy, Murphy. We are so glad that we found them and will go back for any adjustments, cleanings, or future purchases we might make.

Was Iooking for a place to replace the battery on a couple of watches and this place stood out because of all the good reviews. Gave them a call to get an estimate and ask if they could get it done 30 minutes before closing time. They said yes!

Got there and was very well taken care of. They have a very professional setting with a large window looking over at the service area so you can see everything they are doing with your items.

They didn't even charge me for one of the watches that unfortunately had a failed and no longer works. They also offered a complimentary ring cleaning while I was waiting.

Acurate estimate, professional service, friendly people and they have a dog. What's not to like.

Great overall, and will definitely go back to them for any future needs.

Gems of La Costa - what a fabulous experience. We took in our decades wedding rings that were now way too small, and despite an intricate weaving of three different colors of gold, they managed to fix them along with a handful of broken earrings I also had, all for reasonable cost. Their jewelry and repair work is exquisite but the staff uncomparable.

Rhonda helped me create the perfect engagement ring. From the moment I entered the store, she made me feel comfortable and helped make the experience fun. Janja's input on design and setting was invaluable as well. I can't stop looking at my hand- it's so sparkly! Highly, highly recommend.

This family-owned store has a wonderful selection of jewelry and offers services such as appraisals and ring sizing-- just what I was looking for. I worked with Rhonda, who was a delight and lots of fun. She traded in some gold and silver, special-ordered some pearls, guided me in purchasing a diamond band for my 30th wedding anniversary. They are my new go-to jewelers.

We took my wedding rings to be repaired at Gems of La Costa. This was our first vist with Gems of La Costa. The service was impeccable and the cost was very reasonable. My husband Steven also needed to replace his wedding ring. Rhonda was very informative, she spent time with us while we made decisions. Rhonda gave our dog Tiger a bonus necklace. We had a wonderful experience at Gems of La Costa. We feel fortunate to have found them.

One of the links had broken off of a rosary that a dear friend of mine gave to me. I remember the feeling of my heart sinking when it happened. I've lived in La Costa for all of my life, and have passed Gems of La Costa many a' time. Not only were they very kind, but they fixed the rosary within a matter of minutes. Special shout out to Ronda for being so sweet! Based on the treatment that I received, I would recommend this jeweler to anyone.

Another amazing experience at Gems of La Costa today. Have been coming here with my wife for about 10 years now. They have done a wonderful job fixing the wife's wedding ring, they have a great selection of jewelry including Rolex, and they have been a tremendous help guiding me on what to do with some jewelry we inherited. Today (feb 21,) Rhonda Bell went above and beyond for me. I need my wedding ring resized and needed a few pieces tested along with a few other things and I was blown away by her service and expertise. Thank you soo much Ms. Bell! What a pleasure at Gems of La Costa! We enjoyed our early Christmas shopping. Beautiful jewelry! The staff is wonderful - patient, knowledgeable, kind and fun. I appreciated their straight forward answers to my basic questions. Lots of good learning. Also cleaned my wedding ring and identified important repairs to protect my diamond which was also greatly appreciated.

My fiancé had my custom engagement ring made here and it couldn't be more perfect (I get SO many compliment). They have everything you could ask for. We've worked with Rhonda ever since and she has been amazing -- so professional and knowledgeable. Plus she makes the process so fun!

I can talk about how great Steve is all day. He helped us with my engagement ring but is also still helpful to this day whether I need a cleaning, help picking a second band, or repair. He’s extremely knowledgeable about diamonds, professional, and patient. He’s the best!

Rhonda and Peter are terrific. I brought a small but sentimental piece to Gems of La Costa and they were extraordinarily patient with my selectiveness. This was a very small project and yet Rhonda and Peter both treated my personal concerns about my very old religious medal as though it was just as important as any other major purchase in the store. They were extraordinarily respectful and gave me all the time I needed on a number of visits to get my project just right. Rhonda and Peter you did a great job and I look forward to working with you in the future!

I went into Gems of La Costa to have the clasp on my bracelet repaired and to have my wedding rings cleaned. Rhonda was super helpful- she had the rings done in minutes and was professional and friendly the whole time. Peter fixed my bracelet in minutes (I thought it would take days) and they didnt charge me for any of their services. Great experience from the neighborhood jeweler.

After hearing many recommendations, I brought my wedding ring to Chad at Gems of La Costa. I wanted a new ring that closely mimicked my old beloved band - all I can say is wow! It was difficult because of its uniqueness, he did a wonderful job, it's stunning.

I had Gems of La Costa design a setting for my Tourmaline. They created a perfect piece of jewelry that reflected my wish to showcase the stone. The cost was truly competitive. The diamonds they used were beautiful. They had a vast inventory of gems to augment the Tourmaline. The staff was extremely helpful without being pushy. They sought my approval on every step of the project. I will definitely go back to them to design and set other pieces. I was also impressed with their selection of finished jewelry.

I purchased a stunning blue diamond from Gems of La Costa. Then they were able to help me bring my vision to reality in the creation of a jaw-dropping ring to showcase the stone. Ewa was amazing taking me through each design details and rendering the ring in CAD. And Peter's bench work was absolute perfection - along with his design input. Chad and Steve were nice enough to allow me to drag them into the process, as well. I've hardly taken my new ring off since its dramatic unveiling. And I've already purchased another diamond from them and finalized details for another customer piece - a pendant this time. They have a life-long fan and customer!

Hands down, my favorite jeweler. I've bought several gifts here for my lady over the years. She has loved and been complimented by everything that's come out of this fine shop. Most recently, my fiancee and I showed up during the recent pandemic, as we were intending on a live webcast wedding and needed bands quickly. We were helped by Steve, who got us into just what we needed, and had it ready within days for the ceremony. Amazing products and service - I absolutely love it here.
