Super cute, quant, and modest vegan bakery with many gluten free options! The deviled “eggs” tasted amazing and the texture was just like a boiled egg. The BBQ wrap was made in the vinegar style and could have fooled a meat-eater. It might as well have been magic. Also had a “cheese” and chive biscuit - very flavorful. Lastly was a Vanilla-Vanilla cupcake (so tasty!) and a cold brew. The cold brew was full of flavor and not acidic. Staff was patient, friendly, and helpful. I can’t wait to go back again!

If you are looking for a place with a great vibe, nice people, and obviously, delicious food, this is the place. From cookies, cupcakes, different vegan dips like pimento cheese, and cakes, the selection is huge and everything is amazing. The tiramisu is incredible, cookies are large, and everything is really fresh. If its later in the day and looking for breakfast for today or tomorrow, grab a breakfast sandwich from the fridge. This place sells fast because it is so good. Highly recommend trying.

This is a delightful bakery with an amazing selection of vegan pastries, cakes, and other treats. The croissant was crunchy and flakey just like a croissant should be. Obviously it didn't taste like butter, but the texture was perfect. My son loved his brownie although I found it a tad dry.

Finally! A place in Carytown where I can get a coffee after 4 PM without the unreasonable lines or prices. The coffee is really good and the pastries to die for. Very inviting seating area and friendly staff. Very quick and efficient service. We had the coconut late and The capuchino with the chocolate chip scone and almond scone. Great experience. Nice and cozy spot to take a break from The freezing weather, at least in January.

Excellent vegan baked goods! Such lovely textures and flavors. I love the vibes of this shop. Fun merch and vegan food pantry and ready made options too. The coffee was fine but the star really is the baked goods.

100% vegan?!?! I can’t believe it. Cakes, cookies, scones, milkshakes, wraps, deviled “veggs”. This place has it all. My favorite (so far) is the cheddar ranch biscuit but I’m sure I’ll have a new favorite when I finally eat the 12 things I took to-go! 😂

I loved everything I tried from here! The staff is super helpful and everyone working was just lovely when I went. Everything is made without any animal products and the staff was very helpful in answering nut allergy questions. They sell quite a few different types of gluten free baked goods. Very clean in the shop! They also sell bagged coffee, tins of tea, stickers, and a few other little items that would make great gifts. I also saw gift cards available for purchase at the register.

Minglewood Bake Shop has an awesome selection of vegan items, cakes, baked goods, vegan cold wraps, coffee and milkshakes, merch like shirts, stickers galore, mugs and more! Everything always tastes great, our favorites thus far are cosmic brownies, oatmeal cream pies, the matcha milkshake, the mango sorbet with strawberry sauce, the spinach artichoke pastires, cheddar Bay biscuits, so many different goodies to try and enjoy! Everything is also reasonably priced. We have been coming to minglewood for a while now and never leave disappointed, the staff are always friendly and the minglewood bake shop always updates their daily specials through their instagram page, if you have read through the review this far, it is worth your time to go and check them out if you have never been, or go back for another visit if you have!

Today is my first time stepping into this fragrant bake shop. It’s well worth exploring this place. Maria helped take my order and is very friendly. I love reviewing and supporting local high quality businesses. Two scones in particular looked delicious, and I bought them. I highly recommend the gluten free rosemary almond scone. Next I’ll try the chocolate chip scone, and fortunately got to purchase the last one in the bakery case!

I’m always amazed by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff here. Every single person I’ve encountered has been more than helpful. Not only is the staff generally kind, they’re also very quick to recommend something.

The staff is great, but the items served are even better. They have a wide range of coffee selections and syrups, as well as other drinks like milkshakes and lemonade. Their pastries are to die for and the best part is that everything they serve is VEGAN! They have a large selection of gluten free options as well which, for someone like me who is gluten and dairy free due to allergies, is a lifesaver when I’m craving something sweet. I have never visited a bakery that I’ve loved more than Minglewood. It’s always a treat, even if I’m just getting coffee (which I can rarely ever do because of the numerous delicious options).

Not only is this one of the best cafes I've ever been too but it's also 100% vegan! I could seriously rave about this bake shop non stop. The staff are pleasant and always look happy to be there. The food quality is outstanding and everything is incredibly delicious. Their cakes are beautiful and very professional looking. What really makes this place stand out to me is that they have additional items for sale such as vegan inspired stickers, vegan products (I've purchased the sprinkles and hot chocolate mix), and all for a reasonable price. Also good to know - no upcharge for almond or oak milk!

just perfect. Loveee the matcha lattes! Also custom ordered a cake for my birthday and they made it perfectly it was exactly what I wanted! Their new French toast cupcake is to die for and perfect. I reccomend this bakery to anyone, even if they aren’t vegan

Stopped by for a breakfast and coffee. We tried the mushroom and walnut pastry, roasted garlic and spinach pastry, and a sundried tomato and basil scone. Collectively they were all delicious! We ended up eating more to go! The staff is kind and welcoming. The owner was walking around the back of house helping. The small seating area was cozy. Can't wait to go back and try dessert!

Sunday happy hours 5-6pm for selected desserts at the counter! The waiter was sweet to recommend us to switch from the original to the chocolate croissant. We also bought an almond blueberry scone with a slice of sugar powdered brownie. They're delicious, it's just that the scone didn't fit my taste as much.

Highly recommend some of the pins there with funny taglines (Eat the Rich, anybody?) and nice old time cartoon stickers for $3. It's a nice little shop at Carytown, don't miss it for afternoon tea.

Went here yesterday to grab a cake for a coworker’s last day at work. Since I’m not vegan and he is I did some googling and found this shop. WOW! I got a chocolate bat cake that was AMAZING! Also grabbed a few cookies that were also delicious. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a tasty treat.

I'm very allergic to dairy, along with a handful of other things. This place is a godsend. It's full of various delights that would otherwise be denied to me. It also has other vegan treats that I could eat in meat form, but honestly... Why not vegan? Reducing the amount of meat and animal products I consume is only a good thing, both for the animals and the environment. Just be warned: you'll want to buy everything you see because everything looks positively amazing. I had my first milkshake in about 15 years that I didn't make myself.

It was amazing and the whipped "cream" was everything I remember whipped cream to be from my youth. The staff is also wonderful, as they made sure that everything I got, I could eat.

I'd heard about this from a friend, who gave it a glowing review, so I highly recommend trying this out!

Also, there is some limited parking in the back, perfect if you're looking to just pop in for some goodies!

Absolutely fantastic food! Even if you're not vegan you won't be disappointed! Got one of their cakes for my wedding and they're my go-to place for birthday cakes!

A vegan bakery in the heart of Carytown, WINNING! Everything from the sweet to the savory and in between is delicious and worth the trip. The staff is helpful and polite and the vibe is easy and inviting. Just another gem of this wonderfully eclectic corner of RVA ❤.

The vibe of the restaurant/shop is very cute and clean. They offer a variety of grab and go vegan foods that are served either cold or you can warm them up in the microwave. They also have tons of delicious baked items. I tried the BBQ wrap with pickled cabbage & had a side of ranch, also we tried the pb pie, the funfetti cheesecake, Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake, and an iced sugar free hazelnut coffee with oatmilk. Everything was absolutely amazing and we will be back. 10/10 would recommend🙂

A great little bakery in the heart of Carytown. They have wonderful baked goods, great coffee, and a bunch of other goodies for you to buy. A lot of the items are Vegan, which is fine even if you’re not because remember what Amos Starkadder said, “There’ll be no butter in Hell!”
