Can Can Brasserie

Had a lovely lunch with the three neighbor ladies! It was my first time there and I was very impressed. We had Ellie as our server who was exceptionally sweet and very attentive but not overbearingly attentive! I will definitely be back.

Stopped in Richmond on our way home to North Carolina. We had done some research and knew we wanted to stop for lunch at Can Can. We didn't make reservations and we're quoted a 90 minute wait for a table. Since Carytown has plenty of shops around we decided it would be worth the wait.
And it definitely was!
Got lucky and the wait was only 30 minutes.
Our waiter, Nelly, was a novice (according to him) but he was an absolute delight. Great attentive service with a charming smile.
I ordered the French Onion soup and the Roasted Beer Salad and my guy ordered the Banh Oui.
Don't you just love when you order the right way in a restaurant?
My lunch was perfect! The soup was decadant and complex and the salad was a perfectly balanced work of art.
The Bahn Oui portion was far too large but prepared okay. We ended up taking half home and it was a good late night snack.
The ambiance is wonderful and I am told it's even better in the evening.
I recommend making reservations if you don't want to wait

My mother and I went to Can Can for a celebratory lunch, and everything was fantastic. We love going in the summer when the big windows are open. I do recommend making a reservation or at least calling ahead though as it was quite busy. Hannah was a wonderful waiter, and the bouillabaisse was delicious. The portions were generous, especially for the side salad.

Great food had the chopped steak (actually ground beef fyi) it was great. Wife had the pork and loved it. Great atmosphere food came out quick and waiter was excellent.

I love to visit this restaurant anytime of year but at Christmas they have seasonal drinks and they decorate and it feels so festive and delightful. The atmosphere transports you for sure. I read a review where someone said the food is “just good” and it made me curious to know where they are eating on the regular, because I find the food and drinks here exceptional every time.

Wonderful French influenced food. Staff was helpful in finding the right table. Housemade breads are amazing. All our entrees were prepared perfectly

Wonderful brunch at Can Can Brasserie in Carytown! The lobster quiche and salad was awesome. Bloody Mary's perfectly spiced. My husband ordered eggs Benedict and they were different from the tradional version. The coffee , cappuccino, and dessert was exceptionally delicious!

Nice calm evening with the coveted sidewalk patio table.
Some nice wine, dirty martinis, and the food was phenomenal.
Crispy oysters, mushroom soup (wow), scallops, and chopped steak.
All was delicious.
The waitress (a motorcycle traveler) was delightful and shared stories of her adventures.

My husband and I had dinner here last night for our anniversary. It was our first time there and everything was wonderful. They sat us I'm a quiet booth away from everyone which was perfect. Cocktails were wonderful and the list itself was really good. We're both mixologist so picky about Cocktails. Server Lydia was attentive,, and funny and just great. Loved the atmosphere too. Really a cute place. All the food was delicious. The menu is great, it was hard to decide what to get. Highly recommend.

We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch. The bartenders are fantastic. A good variety of drink options with a classic presentation. Food quality and flavor was excellent. Perfect brunch spot but I strongly recommend getting a reservation because the restaurant fills up quickly.

This was a last minute decision and probably one of the best of our trip to Richmond. We loved everything about the place: the location, the food, the atmosphere, and the service. The croque monsieur was huge and my daughter loved it. My husband loved the Duck à l'orange and I enjoyed the mussels. We are actually planning to come back tomorrow. Absolutely brilliant!

The place is awesome and the service is great! The food came out beautifully and very delicious! The servers were warm and friendly. The ambiance was very nice and very French - from the music, the decor, and the food! Highly recommend this place!! I would love to try their dinner menu, too at some point! Maybe next time we visit Richmond.

Please make a reservation if you are planning to dine! Came here on a VERY busy Sunday and thank God we had a reservation!

Spacious and fun vibes with nice staff. Didn’t eat here but the drinks are plentiful and good wine list! Lovely flower stall outside too

The chicken salad and bread was enough to take the hangry away. The margarita helped also. The atmosphere is great for brunch and mimosas. The chicken was flavored well and the greens were fresh. This reminded me of being in Europe. I will visit again to get another chicken salad. My waiter was awesome. I can’t remember his name but he was then best!! An absolutely must visit!!

We were greeted warmly and were seated promptly.

Can Can is an excellent French bistro. This means a very tight menu with careful execution.

The quiche was wonderfully cooked and very light. The frites were crispy and well salted.

The onion soup gratinee was piping hot with well-developed flavor.

The steak tartare was well, seasoned and very fresh.

10/10, would return!

Some of the finest and tastiest French cuisine you will find. The food is always so good. Our server took great care of us. Highly recommend brunch and please make a reservation.

The place is a hoot, as if you've stepped back in time. Wondrous lighting, fanciful design, great food and atmos. Great selection of Belgian beers.

We sat at the bar because the restaurant was full. The bartender was prompt with menus and a drink. We split the beet salad and the seared scallops entree. The kitchen served us two plates and the presentation was beautiful. It is true that you first eat with your eyes and they did not disappoint. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the salad was amazing. The bartender made us feel as if we were his only customers. I would take my mother here! Wonderful!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Can Can Brasserie and it was absolutely dreamy. Almost two months later (we got married in December 2021) and our friends/family are STILL talking about how delicious the food was and how intimate and romantic the atmosphere was. My personal favorite dishes were Duck a l'Orange and the Chai Spiced Creme Brulee. We had a private room in the back which held 36 of us and the staff that took care of us was wonderful and very attentive. We worked very closely with Laurel at Can Can to select menu items, secure the room, and get everything set up. She ensured that my vision came to life and was very communicative during the entire process. 110% recommend for a private event and I can't wait to go back.

This restaurant came recommended from friends that had visited Richmond and we’re glad we listened. Made a dinner reservation for a Saturday night (reservations recommended) and upon walking in, it felt like a true French restaurant. Our server was honest, informed, attentive, and fun! I highly recommend the scallops!
