I just used this moving company and the service was excellent. All of my furniture was packed securely and all the space in the truck was used effectively. They even safely moved my piano! The gentleman were kind and the experience was pleasant which made moving less stressful. They are reasonably priced and well worth it!

Things were done in a timely manner. the loading took a long time and of course, I had no idea that things were being packed and loaded to be broken. I even paid more for a special packing for an antique mirror that was a bit fragile. It was only wrapped in a packing blanket, and I was charged for a $25.00 super packed item. Then, at the delivery end it is broken and since it is an antique, can't be fixed.
I have also had other things broken and that is on me because packed by owner. They stole MY moving blankets and wrapped with them, but I did not get them back.
I had flown in from TX late the night before and had no car so I had nothing to drink or eat, I was moving. I asked a neighbor to drive me to the store to get them water. While I was gone, one of the guys went in my refrigerator and started drinking beer. I was concerned that he drank the rest of the beer in the fridge and then drove MY furniture in this truck.
When they wanted some else to drink/eat they just took off in the truck and left to get something. Then, drove my furniture around.
I sent Tommy, my leader for the move, an email to ask about the claim line and I got a text message to let me know the number. When I called that number, I was redirected to a web site for claims.
This company used contractors to load, to drive, to deliver, to handle their claims. So, I can't say if they are a good company or not.

I will say this, the sales guy, Thomas McGarry did his job fabulously.
Roped me in, with no way to go but forward.

They roped me into an estimate with the greatest rate ever. Of course, it continued to go up until it completely doubled. Of course, as soon as the loaders got there they said it would be ok, but by the time finished it was more than doubled.
Run from these guys, they suck.

This company was brokered out to me by PeaPack and Moving (I placed a separate 0 star rating for them here too). I paid for an early bird pickup at 6 am, and then they didn't arrive til 10am that day, which caused endless complications for my following 14 hours drive to my new place. They completely neglected one box that had FRAGILE RED stickers ALL over it and broke everything inside. Looked like the box was kicked at full power it was so awful. They broke MANY of my things and took an entire month to deliver my stuff. Not ONE person from this company (nor PeaPack) told me it could take 3-4 weeks until the truck was completely packed and i was handed the paperwork to sign, and i read it myself in the paperwork. I was only told by one person at PeaPack that it would take 4 DAYS. So i had 6 days of belongings that i brought with me in my car. I don't even know how much money i had to spend to re-buy stuff i already had while i waited a month for everything to come. The claims department is completely impossible to get through with all of the tiny things you have to abide by and provide in order for them to reimburse you anything. Of course it's that difficult on purpose so that people don't finish submitting their claims. Sheri was the customer service lady and she was very rude and unprofessional to me, even when i was being patient and kind.

If I could give less than one star I would. When I first inquired with this company I was given a quote of $4,000 and once the movers came by the storage unit to pick up our stuff, as soon as they opened the storage unit said that it would be 800 sq. ft. extra which would be $1,700 more. Then, upon loading and signing paperwork, the movers wrote down extra stuff that we didn’t even own and was not in the unit. Upon delivery, we were told Thursday morning and the movers did not arrive until Sunday afternoon. When they did finally show up, the driver of the truck said his help had not answered their phone so it would just be him, doing the work of three people. Once everything was unloaded from the truck and into our new house and the mover had left and we paid, we started unboxing our stuff and immediately saw a box that had been marked by both us and the movers as FRAGILE was completely ripped and the contents inside had been destroyed. There were many sentimental things inside completely destroyed. Not only that box but also our book shelf was destroyed as well as a desk my late grandfather had hand built. We called the company and they kept running us in circles and have not responded to our calls or emails. Completely unprofessional. I will be moving my stuff myself next time. Unacceptable. Do not recommend.

This is by far the worst moving company I have experienced. My parents moved from NC to GA and wanted to take the hassle out of moving. They decided to use Best Interstate Moving and Storage because of their high reviews. Even though they were more expensive than other companies my parents thought it was worth it based on the quality they thought they would get. Even though the company said they were not a broker they are. They hired Ocean Moving and Storage as the moving company without our knowledge (which has horrible reviews). Their team lead Shawn came with a crew and packed up my parents house. He left without giving my parents a chance to check the house. They ended up not packing an entire room. My parents had to make multiple trips to GA with the leftover things and rent a storage unit. Keep in mind they already spent over $7000 to the moving company. Both companies were very difficult to get a hold of when my parents were ready for the delivery. We finally got a hold of them to deliver where Shawn shows up with an attitude and completely inappropriate behavior. We just wanted the job done at that point so we put up with it. The other guy who was helping was asking very private questions about the house- who is living there, how much the house was which made my parents very uncomfortable. Again we just wanted the things delivered so we wouldn’t have to deal with them. Towards the end we saw them participating in illegal substances on my parents property. At that point I said something to them and then they literally ran to the truck and drove off very fast in the residential area. They left the work undone and not sure if the truck was even empty with our stuff. I called Iris the next day who is the manager and she acted sweet and understanding and said she will take care of it and will send a couple of guys to finish the job. A week goes by and no communication from the company or Iris. I called multiple locations and Iris but no communication. I then reached out to Best Interstate since they are the company my parents signed the contact with. Stephanie Little was suppose to get back but never did. Bottom line - stay away from both companies. They were awful to work with, rude, sent some shady people to my parents house and did not finish the job. They took zero responsibility for anything. They charged twice for some items and on top of all this they damaged quite a few items in the process. These guys are bad news, stay away from them save some grief.

It has been over a year and a half since our move and many people have encouraged me to write a review although much time has passed. I have not had many horrible experiences yet the experience my family had with Ocean moving ranks as #1. It started by the movers beginning the move and loaded about 1/3 of our furniture and they started telling us we have more than they thought, although the guy went through every item and tagged it prior to beginning. Half way through they start telling me that they are going to have to charge us more to continue. I refused and they kept loading the truck. They start telling me how they could work faster if they had some food. So I ordered them food, they took a long break and ate till full, resumed packing the truck afterwards. Then things got worse. My wife couldn't even stay to watch as furniture literally rolled end over end down our front steps. It was awful. They end up taking all our items loaded in the truck, after a long conversation with someone in their office and then two days later I receive a call that they will not deliver any of our belongings unless I pay them thousands more! They held our belongings basically for ransom until we paid them more. I refused b/c our contract was binding. I was cussed and threatened over the phone and ended up having to have an attorney send letters and call them. We had already made the almost 2,000 mile journey across the country for our move and they finally agreed to complete it after the attorney was involved. They were two weeks late in delivering our items and once arrived many things were either missing and/or broken. Further more, I left voicemail messages for the claims department that went unreturned. It is so sad when you have items that cannot be replaced, lost because of the negligence of the moving company. And this wasn't an inexpensive agreement either. I could write so much more yet I don't want people to think this is a "rant" but rather just please be aware and informed so that you can make the best decision for you and your family. I have truly never experienced, in any industry, the treatment that we received from the movers and their administrators. So sad that they continue to conduct business. I'm glad some people have had a good experience. We unfortunately, did not.

Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They say they will take the nightmare of moving off your shoulders, ha, they Were the Nightmare on my Shoulders! I needed furniture moved from my dads home to mine, he had passed away and I had to set up a time for siblings to be there to let me in. We set a date and time for movers to come and wrap up the furniture and drive it to Georgia. From Missouri to Georgia! They would call the night before to let us know what time they would be there the next day, Never received one! So J called them the next morning to find out what time and we got the run around (he’s on the other line, he will call you back a couple of times) till I said no, That doesn’t work for me, I need to know what time to tell my brother to be at the house to let us in. So, receptionist hands me off to a supervisor who proceeds to tell me they WON’T be picking up my furniture today it will be tomorrow! I told him that’s NOT going to work for me and tried to explain why and he kept interrupting me with, I signed a contract that gives them a two day leeway and that they were taking that option! Again, I tried to explain why that Won’t work and again he interrupted! See, I was given two choices by my brother when he could come and open up the house to let me in! One was a day that we would be driving in and the other was the day before we drive back!
Anyway, needless to say I was Upset! They told us a day that worked for us and without Even Telling Us, They Changed it!!! He kept interrupting, I Never got to Explain my situation (which really is None of Their Business) and I handed the phone over to J. Because I had, had Enough! He also informed me that we would lose our deposit if we cancel! Talk about Being Upset! My dad passes away, J had a heart attack 2 weeks before this nightmare and My brother only gave me two choices of when he could be there and this Company Changed The Date Without Telling Us! What kind of Business does that, this one does!
Now, a couple hours later we got a call that they Might be able to come the day we needed, they would let us know by Two that afternoon! They Subcontract the work out to movers which, we didn’t know anything about! But, they did come that evening about 6pm and wrapped up furniture and loaded it on to truck! Now, I didn’t have a problem with the length of time that they take to deliver the furniture but, I was nervous and worried that they wouldn’t Deliver it they way they took it and my worst nightmare came True! See, these were irreplaceable antiques. Handed down by generations moved from place to place and NEVER DAMAGED in all those years. But, We hired what we thought to be Professional Movers and They Broke the Leg off of my Grandfathers Antique Table! Don’t ask me How? Because this was a pretty solid leg! But, I truly believe it was on Purpose!

I could write a book on how awful my experience was working with this company. Still trying to get missing boxes, filing a claim for broken items. And the worst was the deliver!! It took three men almost 8 hours to load the truck with my furniture and boxes. When my furniture arrived 5 days later there was only THE DRIVER TO UNLOAD! Luckly my strong son-in-law and daugher were there to help. No way could one person unload!

I had the worst experience with this moving company, let me start by saying Sheri in Florida was very professional and helpful.

Now as far as the other people I spoke with not even close, Daniella also in Florida was rude and clueless, then I got a call from Ann or Ana in GA and she is a rude POS.

I originally contracted with Road Runner moving and storage in Miami who I asked if they were brokers and they stated no, then I my contract was given to Ocean.

I provided road runner with all my details such as my new unit was on the third floor which cost me an extra 150.00, which I paid because that is a standard fee.

I received a call from Ann the night before my belongings were to be delivery demanding an extra 550.00, 400.00 for a shuttle fee because she stated by looking at an image of my complex a moving truck would not be able to maneuver the area and a shuttle would be needed or my items would not be delivered mind you she is in Georgia I am in Maryland.

Then she said I had to pay for the extra stairs which I already paid to her broker and she refused to view the contract with the proof of payment, DO NOT USE this company

They backed into our tree twice then drove away. Apparently the street was blocked by construction vehicles and a neighbor told them they needed to around the other way. In the turning process the driver ignored his helper signaling to stop and backed into the tree. He pulled forward then backed into it again breaking / ripping branches off. I got pictures and info off the truck but they drove away. When I called the company the first lady seemed concerned but had to send my pictures to someone else. When I finally made contact with the next person she told me it was my neighbors faults for telling the driver he had to turn around; but the road was blocked and surely they train for turning around. She also said the owners were out of the country and wouldn’t be back for a couple of weeks so she could do nothing about this.
When I suggested that at the least the drivers should be instructed to report the incident she said “you can’t teach a grown man to have manners ... I’m sure you know that!”
Seemed like irresponsible behavior to me even if he was angry about having to reroute.
Would never hire them - makes me doubt they would be honorable if furniture or something was damaged that might cost bigger money than a small tree!

Using this company was not an option for me. Went through third party apparently and was given this company to retrieve my furniture from storage and ship it to me. When the movers arrived they were bringing in furniture that did not belong to me. The things that were mine had damage to them, the boxes looked like they were crushed, and I notice alot of my things in the truck were mixed in with other people's things which was concerning to me. At that moment I called and called the office and never got a response from anyone but left a message to return my call. I unpacked my things and then noticed I still have boxes missing one of which are pictures of my kids and things that are sentimental to me along with a box with my daughter's clothes and other items such as portraits and things. Tried calling this company back leaving more messages and still no response. If I had a choice I would not have used this company. Very unprofessional in shipping my belongings. Highly upset that I have items missing. More upset I have yet to receive a call back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! Please do your research before trusting anyone in this company to do your move. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

glass items were destroyed when they delivered my furniture. when I called to get someone to call me back, no one returned my calls. and, one of my expensive dining chairs were destroyed and the mover told us that he was going to have someone contact me. it has almost been 30 days and I have not heard from anyone!

Absolutely the worst moving company I have ever used. They arrived hours after the expected window and offered no condolences. For the high price that was paid, I would have been better off burning the money and using the fire for heat.

I’m moving from SC to CA due to my fiancé being stationed there. This has been the most stressful move, I should have followed everyone advice and hired Mayflower 2,000 more but we’ll worth it. They are unresponsive, every single person I’ve spoken to is RUDE. I’v tried for over a week to just track my stuff and they keep directing me to the same two people who I’v been trying to call sometimes upwards to 10 times a day and have not gotten a call back or anything. I’m just trying to find out where my stuff is currently and they can’t even answer the phone. This has been the worst experience and I’v never using them again and I’m telling everyone military wise not to use them.

Terrible experience with this company. MANY damaged items once my move was complete. Was told I needed to increase my bill by $600 due to space, which I thought was a joke! I will NEVER recommend this company to others!
