The Book Rack

The store has always been well-stocked and welcoming. But, this new expanded version of The Book Rack is amazing. It's absolutely beautiful. The gaming areas, the new café and its extra seating, it's all amazing. This place is worth going out of your way to visit.

I’m so happy we got this place here at the island! Great atmosphere, the staff is so nice, and great selection of books! Everyone should come and check it out! We had a coffee, croissant and a cannoli! Delicious!!

What a wonderful nerd haven! Comics, miniatures and paints, books, super cute accoutrements... This is a great place for a wide variety of fun goodies. Staff is super friendly as well. Support your local bookstore! Update for remodel: same awesome staff, great new space!!

I got a chance to check out this gorgeous bookstore this week. It is set up for every kind of book and game person. There is lots of space and my toddler enjoyed a hot chocolate in the cafe. It is a new favorite spot to share with my family. Definitely check out this family friendly local treasure!

Great shop full of books, games and all sorts of fun things. There is space to play and there is even a Cafe. Treats and fun for everyone. You can meet up to play a game with some friends or grab something new to try out at home with their game rentals. Love this place!

The community gem got a remodel. It you've not been to The Book Rack in a while, head down there after work or school. They've expanded the size of chain book stores, and added to their selection and amenities. There's plenty of seating to enjoy a coffee, a book, and games with your friends. They also offer regular Magic The Gathering times and are looking to expand with other events including author events, One shot RPGs, and story nights. Come support this bright spot!

The Book Rack has gone through some recent improvements, but I do want to emphasize that it only served to make this establishment even better than before.

With the addition of a coffee and pastry shop, as well as the fantastic seating area, I find myself coming here much more often. There is just something to be said about how pleasant an experience you will enjoy while reading a book or studying while enjoying the soft din of a café.

The employees are quick to provide some tasty recommendations, and there's never a shortage of delicious coffee. Combine their positive and approachable attitudes with how relaxing this place is, and it quickly becomes a little home away from home.

I hope to take advantage of the tabletop events they'll be having soon, as they're always coming up with great ways to bring all walks of life through their double doors.

This store has been in the area for years, starting out with comic books and used books. However now it has been updated & remodeled beautifully! Gifts, new books, puzzles and a coffee shop, which makes great coffee! They also still have a game room.

First of I love the cafe, delicious beverages and tasty treats. In the store lots of books, games, craft related things, a side room with tables for events. There is also a game rental program with lots of games to choose from. Love what they've done since expanding.

Wow! And THANK YOU for this great book store/coffee house. It is beautiful and cozy inside with a large selection of books. They have great lattes, and teas and also amazing pastries and some savory items too. (Coffee comes from a Whidbey roaster and baked goods out of Anacortes so they are supporting other local businesses).

The game selection is amazing. You can even rent from a good selection of games for a couple days! We played a table game while sipping our coffees.

The employees are relaxed and friendly and also are knowledgeable about the games and booksI If they don’t have a book you want, they can order it. Support your local bookstore!!! This one makes it easy to do so!

Yesterday I got a latte at their new cafe and it was so amazing that I was instantly upset they're not open before I go to work. I don't even like coffee! And you're telling me I have to wait until 10am?! My life is a prison.

Not to mention I only came in for a snack and a drink but WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT my favorite author had THREE books on sale and then there are so many fun games and puzzles I spent like $75 instead. Buyer beware: you either need strong impulse control or some kind of supervision.

The new store looks fantastic In the new place! If you have not been inside be prepared for a new experience that the island needed! Lots of merchandise. And a new coffee snack place that's was really nice and yummy. You could probably do alot of your holiday shopping there.

We are so very lucky to have such an incredible local book and tabletop game store on Whidbey. They recently opened a beautiful new space next door to their previous location. Kasey, Rhiannon, and all the other folks who work here do such an amazing job and are truly what keeps this place warm and welcoming.

Wat a great addition to Oak Harbor! Large, welcoming space with a small but well chosen selection of books, a great selection of games and puzzles, a lovely spacious cafe. I could spend all day there! They even rent games to play in the cafe.

The new and improved book rack is so cozy and inviting. Its a gentle atmosphere with a brand new batista food area and a plethora of books and board games to keep you entertained for hours on end. It will take everything you have not to find a good book, sit down and get lost in the pages while sipping on something delicious from the batista!

This place is beautifully designed and appointed. You can enjoy a coffee and a pastry in a comfy corner nook. A playground for book nerds! ❤

Great place! We rented a game that we ended up loving and buying, wonderful experience!

Recently expanded, it is a must go. If you're looking for something like a Barnes & Noble, this is even better. Has an excellent café as well, and a cozy atmosphere
