Blunt Pretzels

We kept coming through the Swannanoa area when this shop was closed but were curious to try it out. I’m so glad that we added it to a recent day off exploration trip. Their pretzels are great and their service is super friendly.

The shop is a little off-the-beaten-path but it is worth the stop. They have an excellent seating area and it seems that it would be a great place to host a gathering or just meet up of a quick bite or a meeting.

Their pretzels are incredibly good. We were working it into a busy morning, so we just got some pretzel knots with some beer cheese but we will definitely be returning to check out the rest of their offerings.

Went buy to get some pretzel bread to go with soup for dinner, got the pretzel braided bread. Came with directions and bag of salt, did what it said in the oven for few minutes,and was delicious, warm and tasty. Great with soup for a more hearty meal. There were seats inside and out with a nice selection of beer to enjoy while there.

Such a sweet spot to gather and enjoy delicious pretzels! They have the perfect bake, a crispy exterior and warm soft interior. We also brought some accoutrements to make our own little board. Also a great beer selection of local brews, and ping pong tables for those who want to play.

Such a fine place to stop in and have some German pretzels 🥨 and 🍺🍻 beer. From the really unique location, the fun ambience both inside and outside with ample seating, to the story behind the owner and proprietor.

The owner's name is Eddy and he is from Munich Germany but moved to Brooklyn, then Marshall, and now Swannanoa to make his special pretzels, traditional beer 🧀 cheese, mustard, and fun local fizzy drinks and beer.

The space has an all-gender restroom, board games, a ping pong table, and ample seating. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking, 🚻 restrooms and seating.

Excellent staff.. awesome pretzels & beer.
Brings me back to Germany.

Really cool little place that serves pretzels and beer. Really, really good pretzels, at that! Great selection of beer and cider that goes well with them, too. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seats, as well. Can't wait to come again!

Excellent pretzels, nice selection of beer, room to play boardgames or just chill. Lovely people. The beer cheese is the best it's whipped and magical unlike any other beer cheese I've had

Real lye pretzels with split bellies. Cute store front. Clean. Open kitchen. Beer, non alcoholic bevies + pretzels and cheese, mustard or Nutella dip. Pretty straight forward.

i saw a video online saying how bad this place was.during a spontaneous trip to Asheville we stopped in and it was the opposite.nice atmosphere.great food and the staff was very kind.the pretzels also made fantastic gifts.

Hands down the best pretzel I have ever eaten. I highly recommend stopping and having a chat with Eddy. Don't forget the horseradish mustard. You will be a repeat customer.

Amazing pretzels that come in all shapes and sizes, and you don't get harassed if you mistake a pretzel for a bagel.

Sorry that I didn’t know about this place till recently - up until now, I hadn’t really found a great pretzel in the Asheville area and would have told you the best soft pretzels were at Sam’s Club!

The owner is from Germany, and brought his recipe and technique with him. These pretzels are the real deal, featuring a mildly crunchy, salty malt-brown exterior and a soft, dense, stretchy-chewy interior that’s just waiting for a dip of Lusty Monk mustard or one of their excellent beer-cheeses.

The interior is airy, bright and fun, and there’s ample outdoor seating. Parking is easy and free. Knowledgeable, friendly employees will help ensure you have a great time.
