Greenbriar Local Park

Greenbriar Local Park in Potomac, MD is a fantastic destination for families with kids. The park offers a wide range of fun activities and amenities that ensure an enjoyable experience. One of the standout features is the huge pergola, which provides a delightful gathering spot and adds a touch of charm to the park. Children will be entertained by the various playground structures and play areas available. From swings to slides and climbing structures, the park also offers open spaces perfect for picnics or playing games, allowing families to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Parking was great too , lots of space. If like us your brought your toddler to Glenstone museum and was turned back at least this is a choice of consolation and definitely more entertaining for kids.

Great park for kids. There's a toddler area and a bigger kid playground. There's a single Port-a-Potty for a bathroom. There's a covered picnic area with several benches. Kids had fun. Would recommend!

What a great place to take the kids to run around. It’s very clean, the rubber floors feels really nice, and the structures are so fun for the kids. It is also very informative about the Potomac river and all the areas surrounding it. There is one portable bathroom that ran out of hand sanitizer. Luckily everyone carries around some these days!!

Probably the most creative and locally appropriate playground park theme and execution I’ve ever visited. The details are what blew me away here: the red headed woodpecker on the entrance boardwalk, the fact the steps to the boat are shaped like crab traps. Adorable. I think the portapotty is being serviced currently though where it’s very needed as the park was full on an unusually sunny and warm Sunday last weekend.

A really nice, clean park easy to find with close access to the parking area. It has an ADA compliant porta-jhon. It has a nice shaded area with tables and benches for adults & children, a soccer field, and a basketball ball court.

Nice nice quiet park...unless they have hoops going on bit such a wonderful park to walk

Really great and well maintained park. Pretty new playground equipment for both big and small kids. A lot less mosquitoes than other parks. But no shade on super hot days. Bring snacks and water. You will be here for awhile

Our favorite park in the area! There's a nice area for big kids with a fort and for little kids with a crab boat. Nice picnic area and soccer field.

Cozy little park, full soccer field, 1 tennis court, 1 ball, big/ nice play area and shelter. You have to reserve the latter, sign says not for public use otherwise

Beautiful off-the-beaten-path park where we regularly walk the dogs and let the kids enjoy the rather impressive playgrounds. They have two playgrounds: one for younger children and the other for older children.

The entire area is beautiful and I hope those reading this will help keep it clean

Great playground for little and bigger kids. The walking paths are nice too. Great park for soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Easy parking too which is a big help. No flushing toilets but there is a porta potty for emergencies.

My kids LOVED the park. Lots of stuff to climb on, obviously very new and high-quality, not falling apart or anything like that. My son loves the clubhouse / treehouse and the giant slides, while my daughter would love to stay on the fishing boat forever

Not much shade trees but a lot of room if you like to run. It's too bad about the fire at the kids playground whoever did it should be a shame that himself

This is a beautiful playground. It's out of the way so probably many people don't know about it. It's very modern, there is a rubberized surface, two play areas. One for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. Lots of fun activities for the kids.
