Darnestown Local Park

The The Porta-Johns were very very dirty. Overall the park is excellent. The grounds are well kept. Plenty of room for activities. Basketball and tennis are options. Lots of parking. Plenty of shade if needed. We attended a baby shower and felt that the park was a great venue.

Great park for the whole family. Quick and easy to get to, there’s a great covered picnic area and lots of space for picnic blankets. The two tennis courts looked like they were in good shape. Lots of parking and garbage cans. There is also a large field next door that would be great to let a speedy dog run.

It's a really pretty and simple park. Lots of well cared shade trees.

Small and cozy.
Limited playground, but enough to keep the kids busy for a while.
Tennis, Baseball, and Soccer fields.
Generally quiet.
Gazebo for events can be reserved.

Great place to go and bring the kids. The playground is usually shaded most times of the day which is better than a lot of the other local parks. Also it’s got a great tennis court and baseball field.

Darnstowen has always been one of my favorite places to visit when going through that part of Maryland. Darnstowen Park looks exactly the way it did 30 years with exception of the trees growing up too!!

Clean and spacious park with well groomed baseball and soccer fields. Basketball court has shaded area and porta potties.

The softball field was in great shape. The results of the games not so much.

It's a great place to play tennis plenty of parking dog park and the playground for kids.

Great area to play basketball, soccer and still use the slides for the younger ones. Parking is convenient also.

Great for early spring pictures and stretch your legs out.

My old classmate has a memorial here. He passed away in Desert storm.
