JOANN Fabric and Crafts

As an intermediate level crafter, I'm always looking for great places to obtain materials. I'm really excited that we have a Joann fabrics in McKinney! I'm very happy to have another choice besides Michael's and Hobby Lobby.
I really enjoy cooking, set design, and costuming for theater. Recently, I have taken up knitting, but I'm not very good yet. I also LOVE seasonal decor (even though the budget rarely allows for that).

The fabric section at Joanne is one of the best around. They have one of the biggest fabric sections and quite a bit of variety in the fabrics themselves. They also have a ton of support tools including; sewing machines, thread , bobbins, needles, closures and everything else you need for sewing. They have a huge yarn section, lots of different weights and materials. The baking section is pretty good. I wouldn't say it is the best only because the other craft stores are more heavily stocked. The seasonal/holiday section is always fun to peruse.
With my kids in school, I'm also frequently looking for project starters and weird random stuff for school. Joanne is usually my second stop for that.

I always shop at Joann store for my hobby projects. Store is not crowded, pretty clean, and neat. My recommendation is to never skip their clearance aisle, you might find pretty good stuff there, but at a much lower price and you can use additional 25% off. How cool:)) Fabric is very good quality. I bought sewing machine with accessories from them, LOVE IT. The only odd thing that caught my eye this time was HUGE cockroach! I don't know what they are eating on probably a lot of GMO snacks!? It was HUGE!!!

Let with a cart full of Christmas decor for $50. Love the sales and coupons available on the app. And Abby the cashier is always super helpful every time I shop.

This is one of my favorite Joann stores north of Dallas. Compared to others, they have the best customer service. they have a decent selection on yarn.

Easy to find style of fabric we wanted to cover an old rocker for a new Mom, and an old chair that has worn thru. Staff nice enough to locate additional yards of fabric at the Frisco location. Appreciate the staff....

Great place for hobbies and crafts. Great pricing and coupons.
They are not like another store I will not mention that puts out coupons that can only be used on a dozen items because of terms and conditions. You can actually use their coupons.

Overall out of the 3 big stores they are #1.

Employees are great as well and they keep a clean store.

My wife loves this place, we try to find one every place we go. They seem to always have what she's looking for.

Very friendly and very helpful!!! I wasn't sure of what I needed so I described it to the sales associate and she helped me find exactly what I wanted! And, even offered a way to save money with an online discount coupon!

Sharon was AMAZING!!! She went above and beyond to assist me to ensure I found the perfect patterns needed for my project. I highly recommend this location!

Great fabrics. Staff is hit or miss. Some are very helpful while others seem very bothered. I try and look for items myself 1st but when I can't locate something then I ask.

Good place with a large selection and great staff.

Hi, yes I was at the store yesterday afternoon. The staff seemed to be frazzled by a customer who was yelling at them while I was in the register line, this customer was making quite a scene. I feel for these ladies. They were working very hard to try and calm this hysterical woman down. She continued to berate them, and wouldn't even let them speak so that they could understand what her problem was. I'm not sure she even took a breath, She even went so far as to lunge at the poor employee at the register. Thankfully there was an older man there buying several patterns from what I could tell, and he stepped in front of the woman so that she couldn't harm the employee. Then after all that fuss she created, she started to cry, as if she was the victim, when these poor women looked like they were about ready to just lay down and let this woman stab them already just to end their misery. The employees were working very hard and were most pleasant and helpful to myself and other customers, especially for finding what I needed, and I know they helped several others as I saw them while I was shopping. I feel for them and what they go through on a daily basis. I will enjoy my purchases, I bought some cushions and wall decorations and books. I will surely be back, if nothing else but to support these people that work so very hard for us.

Love this store, employees are always eager to assist with anything that you need. Great sales and they honor coupons and anything you want to need to bring back for whatever reason just a really good store

Out of all the Joann locations I travel to in the area, this one always has the best stock on hand. I can usually find massive yardages of the trims I need compared to the other locations, and unique fabrics that may be sold out at the other stores in DFW. The employees here are always sweet and super helpful, and I really value their expertise and patience with the volume of questions I always seem to have. Special shout-out to Denise for her awesome skills on the cutting table! You made my day. 💜

Friendly staff and the store is nicely set up and clean. They have great sales on items and a good choice to look through. The wait to get fabric is not long at all and if their is the staff is still friendly and works very fast. The fabric is kept in a clean and orderly fashion, making it quick and easy to find what you need.

The girl who took care of us has the best customer service ever! I have not seen that in a long time. Even with her mask on, you could tell she was smiling! There was a young man putting away material and I asked him a question. He was very friendly and answered with no hesitation. I will go back to the same place!

Very nice and helpful staff. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other places, but the sales they have seem pretty good. It hasn't even hit October yet and almost all the Halloween stuff is on sale. Maybe I'll actually have some decorations this year! :D

I absolutely LOVE Joann's Fabrics!!! I find some of the coolest stuff every time I shop here. They' ve got all sorts of crafting supplies but they have a lot of supplies that you cannot get anywhere else. I really like that, I really like crafting supplies period! You should definitely check out this store next time your in search of craft supplies. The employees that I interacted with were super sweet & totally helpful. I just need an excuse to stop by today!
