We absolutely love this vet clinic! Dr. Shelton is not only a knowledgeable doctor but he is also a wonderful person. We love his personality, attention to detail, and conservative treatment methods. We completely trust Dr. Shelton with our Frenchie and would not trade this doctor for any other. If you are looking for the best Veterinarian in McKinney, TX, look no further! The staff is always welcoming, helpful, and polite. All of the vets are so compassionate and gentle with my dogs. They are also very affordable and make you feel like you can take care of your animal's needs without taking out a second mortgage. I'm so thankful I found them.

Our vet Dr. Thompson was very knowledgeable and a kind animal lover. He examined our dog on the floor to make his first visit easier. He was a good communicator and thorough. The vet techs, office employees were friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and our new rescue dog left happy and relaxed. We highly recommend 380 West Animal Hospital.

Dr. Shelton has cared for our pets for over 15 years, we would not want to go anywhere else. We have always appreciated not only his knowledge and bedside manner but also his philosophy, patient education and collaboration with us as pet parents. Everyone is incredible! I love this vet! I will never take my animals anywhere else. They are the most kind, caring, attentive veterinary staff I have ever met! The previous vet doctors I have encountered at other offices, are some what transactional and “get in, get out.” The doctors here are so genuine and loving with my fur babies! I wish I would have found them sooner!!

Tears in my eyes as I talk about this place. The vet and staff were fantastic. My dog was attacked by a pit bull along with me. My 80 year mother was taking my dog to this vet and fell outside my apt. The staff was kind and waited for her to arrive late and helped her carry my dog inside. The vet was so efficient and calming and took great care of mom and my sweet dog. The prices are out of this world fair. They give you such great state of the art care yet have affordable pricing. We chose this clinic due to internet reviews and we were not disappointed! Everyone from the front office, to Leslie (vet tech) to Dr Wise were incredibly kind and empathetic. They took their time explaining our little Azzi’s plan of care and were quick to notify us when changes needed to be made. Very grateful for finding such a wonderful clinic for our little monsters!

Dr. Shelton is a wonderful vet! If you have a concern he goes through all the possible causes and the treatments along with how he would address the issue. He also is very down to earth on his explanations and solutions. This is why he is my parent's vet of choice going on almost 30 years and has seen my cat and pups as well!

It has always been a pleasure to bring in my pups to the clinic as the reception is welcoming and their prices help me out financially. I’m very glad they now had availability as several years ago they could not take new patients. They also have a system to help people out if they are cash compromised. Nice all around clinic.

Always a positive experience with 380 vets. Appointments are easy to get in a timely fashion. Very knowledgeable staff who really care about your fur baby. All your questions answered no matter how trivial. Everyone very positive. Been using this office for 9+ years and wouldn’t go anywhere else . Trust them implicitly . I like their down to earth conservative treatment options always presented in a clear cut way.. They treat you and your pets like family.

Wonderful group of doctors and fantastic staff. I have had 6 dogs here over the years and I could never say enough positive things. You can get an appointment quickly. They answer their phones. The wait time in clinic is minimal. They are thorough but won’t charge you for any unnecessary procedures. Their prices are fair and their expertise is unsurpassed. I feel blessed to have been using them for 15 years!

I took my puppy Grace for her up to date shots and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a vet clinic!! From the staff to the doctors everyone was not only professional but made me and Grace feel so welcomed! The doctor made Grace feel comfortable and gave her a great experience to look back on for her first time at the vet! I highly recommend this place for your fur babies! They are very knowledgeable and make you feel like family! I fully trust them with Grace and look forward to many more future visits with them! :)

The Doctors and staff are very attentive and caring. They treat each pet as a special member of the family. When it was time for our senior dog to go to the rainbow bridge, they treated us with dignity and compassion. They care about the wellbeing and quality of life and don't push extensive testing and are mindful or people's budgets. Dr. Shelton has created a wonderful practice and the addition of Dr Wise and Dr Thompson are well received.

This vet is the best! I have seen Dr. Thompson and Dr. Shelton and they are both awesome. I had an emergency incident with one of my dogs recently and they worked hard to squeeze me into their schedule without an appointment. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my animals!

Dr. Shelton & the team were so wonderful. My sweet 10-year old grandma dog needed some dental care & we couldn’t have been more thankful for the care we received at 380 West. They were very upfront with their pricing & what we could expect. They got us in quickly & Lilly got the best care! I’d highly recommend 380 W for your fur baby!

Fortunately we’ve not had to utilize services very much over the last year since moving to the state- but the two times we’ve visited the office for services I have been absolutely overly impressed with both Vets that I’ve seen. Somehow they visit with each patient in the exam rooms not rushing through, but remain on time for appointments. as the pet owner, you really feel heard, and time is taken to go through things with you and examine your pet. I happen to had to visit their office for a sick visit with my eight-year-old Australian Shepherd last week, and the vet came in and sat on the floor with her, and then directed his conversation to me. Meaning it was one of the most relaxed experiences I’ve ever had he was listening to me. He was engaging with my dog and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and personable.

Prior to this that we visited with a female doctor and she was just as good.

I’ve had experiences that have been less than stellar at other Vets in another state prior to moving to the area. I just made an assumption that that’s what you settled for. But once we became patient of this practice, I realized that is simply not true.

***And lastly, which is also extremely important today – the pricing is absolutely reasonable- services and meds!!

380 West Animal Hospital has been taken care of pets for many years. The family feeling, hospitality and supreme helpful and helpful information really keep us very satisfied. We are very thankful for all that they do for us.

We had a very old dog, Daisy, who had a large bleeding cancerous tumor on her hip that was basically inoperable.

The veterinarian gave us the best options of treatment that might prolong Daisy’s life a few more months, but would have made Daisy’s life very difficult. So my wife and decided it was time to put her to sleep. The staff at 380 West Hospital did a wonderful and compassionate job with this procedure. The process was very gentle and peaceful for Daisy. Yes it was a sad day for us, but merciful for Daisy.

Amazing care given to my two senior cats. Gave me different options for their best care and very reasonable pricing. Super knowledgeable vets.
