Literally the best flaky croissants you will try. Everyone that visits this location is friendly and they speak to new customers. Very inviting location with comfortable quiet seating to knock out some work while having a coffee and pastry.

They're almond croissants will have you ready to slap your own mother for not introducing you to these delicious treats sooner!

Great service! Delicious Croissants! The pastries have a great flavor! The pastry with blueberries was completely amazing! They accept cash and card as payment methods, and they have parking for customers. The ham and cheese croissant is super delicious too.

First time at this bakery and experienced a couple of amazing, fresh items. The coffee bun was something I've never had before but will be sure to get again. It was sweet, but not too sweet, and the coffee flavor was incredible. Almond croissant was also delicious! I'm all for more bun flavors, so we'll be sure to stop by again!

This bakery makes some of the most delectable, nuanced French pastries in the area hands down. It is out of the way for me, but I seem to find excuses to make a pilgrimage to this hidden gem about once a month. I put in extra cardio just so that I can treat myself to Grand Pere. The offerings are unmatched and the staff is always friendly.

LOVE coming here! The staff is super friendly and their almond croissants are huge for the price you pay. You can call ahead of time and reserve some baked goods as they sometimes run out after the early morning rush.

I was really impressed with the croissants from Chez Grand Pere. They were delicious and flaky at a lower cost than some of the bakeries you find in Seattle. Definitely a great place for French pastries. I have visited several times now and all of their pastries are great. I especially like their almond croissants, double chocolate croissants, almond sticks, and tasse de cremes.

Oh my!! The almond croissants here are definitely one of the most delicious and the biggest (double the size of normal croissant) I’ve ever had, at 3.85 a piece! From just one bite you can tell right away that this bakery really did not cheap out on the almond filling and their ingredients. I read a review commenting that the almond croissants changed their life and I have to agree that’s not an understatement haha The Asian lady working in the morning was also very nice and courteous :) A true gem, I can’t wait to come back!

I came late in the afternoon on a weekend so the pickings were slim. Clearly a busy place! The woman that helped me was very kind. I got two butter croissants and they were delicious. This is the best flavor croissant I've ever had. Truly a celebration of butter as it should be. The crumb was a bit uneven and the croissant itself was slightly lopsided but that's just me nitpicking every detail possible because the flavor was sooooo good. Will definitely return to try more.

The almond croissant changed my life. Soft, flaky crust, warm melted butter, perfectly sweetened and large enough to satisfy. The service was friendly and the mocha very good too.

BEST CROISSANT I’VE EVER HAD! The almond croissant is a must! I used to work in downtown Seattle where there’s so much amazing bakeries, however, nothing could compared to this one. Come early, they sold out quickly!!!

I had an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant and enjoyed both. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance to.

Absolutely fantastic! I ordered 50 pastries for an event and they were so helpful--from helping me decide the best mix of items to having it ready to pick up when they opened the day of the event. We had so many people ask where we got them that I wished I'd grabbed some business cards while I was there.

One attendee said that they travel quite a bit and, when they are in Europe, they always visit French bakeries and they are often disappointed with what they receive. He raved about the croissants being among the very best he's ever had while traveling.

My favorite was the double chocolate croissant. It was not too sweet so you could really taste the dark chocolate in the pastry and the ganache inside was perfection (and, again, not too much).

This place is well-known and loved in the area they are located, as evidenced by the large crowd of people waiting to get in at 8:15 on a Saturday morning. Dads walking there, holding their young daughter's hands, women holding newborn infants and chatting with other moms, businessmen in suits, white collar workers--all waiting for their chance to buy a pastry and a cup of coffee.

We will be coming back as a family and we will be purchasing all of our pastries for future events here. Well worth the drive!

Great pastries, small selection compared to some places but they make up for it with quality. Good espresso drinks as well. I love their almond croissants but the chocolate croissants, cinnamon sticks and cream pastries are also very good.

I had absolutely the best almond croissant I have ever had. Their coffee is excellent and the setting is charming and cozy. When a place has a line out the door on Sunday morning, you know it's good.

I visit this bakery every week. I stumbled across it when I moved here a few years ago. Their almond and chocolate croissants were my favorite craving during my entire pregnancy and now I walk there with my 1 year old every week. The staff is friendly, service is great and the pastries are phenomenal.

Grand Pere is the absolute best! The famous almond croissants are to die for, and all the other goods are great as well. They often have much more in the kitchen than you see in the case, so don’t panic! For Banh mi lovers, they bake fresh rolls daily that are perfect and inexpensive. Closed Mondays.
