Tom was the best! Our family moved into the Minnetonka area from out of state, and it was a long process over several months. Tom guided us every step of the way - assessing the best market timing, guiding us as many viewings/showings as we needed to refine our search, negotiating the sale like a champ, and then connecting us to trusted resources for financing/inspection/contractors once we had the home we wanted. He has a combination of great general knowledge of homes, a wonderful demeanor, and industry expertise that has clearly been well refined over the years. Tom and his crew did an amazing job selling our home of 31 years. We debated selling, because we loved our home and neighborhood, but had a new vision for a different life in another state. As a result, we took a few years to decide to finally take the plunge and sell. He stayed in contact and helped us through the whole process, which, literally, took a few years from when we first contacted him to when we finally closed the sale. They got us a great price, in a timely fashion and was a joy to work with throughout the whole process.

Tom's knowledge of home construction is invaluable in this market because you have to make informed decisions, quickly. Tom was a great resource for all our questions about home ownership and the the home buying process. He gave us several different recommendations for lenders, home inspectors, and contractors and really helped us to select the right home buying team. Tom Nicklow is an expert and has a ton of experience in real estate. He knows the housing market and was able to let us know when houses would be coming on the market before they were listed due to his experience and connections. He was also very familiar with all the other agents, inspectors, and services needed in our area. He was able to answer all our questions – his knowledge in construction helped us know which homes were a good deal or had potential and what would or would not be possible to change. As first time homebuyers I think we probably asked a lot of “dumb” questions but he never once made us feel dumb. He supported us through every step from understanding how the whole process works, to looking at neighborhoods, visiting houses, and guiding us through the entire inspection and closing process. He is so good that when we anxiously wanted to offer way more than asking for our home, he convinced us to offer less, and he was right! Tom is a super reasonable person, and we recommend him and his business without reservation.

Tom was a very driven individual that was on top of the market allowing us to get an offer in the first day a house was listed. This was needed due the fact the market in this area many houses were selling the first week of listing. Throughout the process Tom was always available for meetings or by phone to answer any questions. Tom was great to work with. He was very quick and eager to answer questions and help through the whole process. He also has a good network of other professionals in the industry to tap into. He has a pretty laid back personality that is comfortable to work with, but will still go to bat for you in negotiations. Overall was a good experience and I feel like he went above and beyond what the average agent would.

I was going to move from my house of 30 years to live out of the country, and there was a lot to do.
