Thornton Creek Elementary School (Public K-5)

My son has been at this school since K, now is in 2nd. We have been consistently impressed with the project-based instruction and emphasis on social-emotional development. We love that our kid is nurtured as a whole person. He has learned that struggle is a valuable part of learning and that being a kind and thoughtful community member matters. I grew up as a "smart kid" in advanced programs throughout my elementary and secondary education, and while they were probably the best option available for me at the time and place were I was educated, I am grateful every day that my son has the chance to be educated at a school that fosters his genuine curiosity for oh-so-many things and doesn't make being smart the big thing about him.

Both my kids attended and received great education and experiences! Teachers are great and the parent group is very supportive to the school.

I was a student here in the early 2000s. Although I didn't love school than I had several great teachers that made an imprint in my life.
