HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital

My wife had two separate serious abdominal surgeries exactly three weeks apart. She survived due to the skill of the surgeons as well as the attentive and advanced care she received in the intensive care unit.

Very skilled and caring nurses in this unit. My wife spent about a lengthy time in the hospital. Very clean and orderly including the waiting area with the Dunkin’ Donuts shop where I would stop and get a coffee on my daily visits.

What a wonderful experience, all things considered of my health! I was treated by many caring, compassionate, and well educated staff! I was attended by the finast physicians, and care staff in the facility. I cannot say enough about Oak Hill Hospital, except Thank You for such caring, and attentive care during my stay. I highly recommend Oak Hill, Hospital for all you medical needs, for Emergency or regular Non - Emergency Care!

I recently had my baby at Oak Hill Hospital. There were a few staff members were exceptional!

I highly recommend Katherine McDaniel as your midwife. She has a calming presents and she is very knowledgeable. She went above and beyond during my labor and I'm beyond grateful for her!

My Labor nurses Laura B, Lauren M and Jennifer took such good care of me during labor and the recovery afterwards. They were very caring and nurturing during such a vulnerable time.

We unfortunately had to spend sometime in the NICU. However, we were fortunate to have the best team for our baby. Dr. Cartaya was an exceptional and caring doctor. He took such good care of my baby and I'm beyond greatly for him! Our NICU nurse Holly was very sensitive to our situation and answered all my questions no matter how many times I asked.

Thank you for taking such good care of me and my baby!

From labor and delivery, to postpartum all the way to the NICU, Oak Hill Hospital has the best staff around. I recently gave birth there and the compassion and skill of so many nurses and doctors kept me feeling safe and respected throughout my time as a patient. Dr. Hoche and her surgical staff delivered my little one after an unexpected C-section. On postpartum RN's Alyssa, Jami and Heather were amazingly helpful and went above and beyond in every aspect. The PCT, Justine, was also incredible and helped with my comfort every chance she could. Without the help from the lactation consultant, Grace, my journey with breastfeeding would have been much different after my son ended up being transferred to NICU. On NICU my son had the most amazing, caring and knowledgeable nurses and doctor. Sharlene was one of the most stand out nurses over all at Oak Hill Hospital, she helped us every chance she got, explained things thoroughly and made sure we were as prepared as we could be going home with our little one. Brandis and the RN she was working with (we forgot to write her name down though she cared for him multiple nights) were two of the night shift RNs that also went above and beyond to help us with our journey as new parents to a little one with medical challenges. I can't thank the nurses and Dr. Cartaya enough for everything they did for my little family.

I was a recent patient at Oak Hill Hospital and am thoroughly grateful to the wonderful staff they have. The level of care and compassion they provide is well beyond any other health care facility I have ever been to. I spent eight days in a room on the fifth floor following surgeries by the finest health care professionals anywhere to be found. The entire experience from the emergency room and the wonderful staff on the fifth floor as well as the food which was incredibly good stands taller than most facilities. I am absolutely positive I could not have received better care anywhere in this country. My sincere thanks to Oak Hill Hospital and the outstanding staff working there.

The ENTIRE STAFF was exceptional! My daughter gave birth at Oak Hill on 4/10 Her midwife Cherylann Collito, and Jacarra Carey are two of the most exceptional, kind, caring, personable, honest and just all around amazing humans and at what they do. The time and patience they took is out of this world. Her nurses Tanya, Brandis, Kierceston, and Nicole are HANDS DOWN FANTASTIC at their jobs! We had such a wonderful experience, my daughter loved all of the staff and as a mom watching her baby have a baby, I would not have trusted anyone else but them. Thank you so much ladies for your amazing kindness and talent. You are so loved and appreciated!

I was in Oak Hill Hospital Four times in four months. I wasn't too impressed with the medical team until Dr. Muftah stepped in. Dr. Muftah was Incredibly Thorough. He didn't stop until he dug up the cause for my symptoms, which was a HUGE relief! It wasn't until then that he knew what to treat and get me back on my feet.
But, that's enough about the doctor, although I Could go on. Now, I move on to the nursing staff. Talk about being "On The Ball"! Each shift had excellent nurses. They were all friendly and professional. Especially Jen, Ray, Meagan, and Jaden on the day shift on the 4th floor. Don't get me wrong. There were some super stars during my other stays when I was there. Like Doucet, also on the night shift on the 4th floor. I'm leaving a Lot of nurses out just because my memory fails me. Suffice it to say the Entire staff on the 4th floor deserves a Gold Star in my book!

Had my first baby delivered on April 8th 2024, unfortunately he had to get sent to the NICU, Dr. Cartaya was very helpful and explained everything well enough for me to understand what was happening and what his plan was to help my baby. The Nurses Olivia and Diana and were absolutely fantastic and helped us make it less stressful for us as new parents. If you ever find yourself at the NICU in Oak Hill, just know your baby will be in the best care possible.

This is above and beyond the best hospital I’ve ever been to! I entered the E.R and was admitted to floor four and within three and a half days I had more answers then I have got in the last year seeing multiple specialists! I already feel better then I have in two years and I have a health plan to continue with all details printed out! Thank you for everything I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever walk out of the hospital again I thought I was truly dying and then the first E.R dr I saw touched my hand said to look in his eyes as I was bawling telling all my health issues and he said again look at me n I did he said listen your where you need to be we will not discharge you to go home to die you will have answers before you leave and from that moment on it was the best care I have received or seen anyone in my family receive at any hospital ever again thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤

This hospital has an amazing NICU team. Olivia was one of the my son's nurses and she was an absolute blessing! It's been almost 10 years since I had a child and any questions I had she had no problem answering and catering to the needs of my son!

We stayed a couple of nights in the nicu and had Basi as a night nurse and she was just amazing. Very kind and encouraging when my baby was struggling with feeds and always checking on us she was just phenomenal to have helping us!

I was in labor and delivery My stay at Oak Hill Hospital was fantastic. Shakfeh did awesome with my C-section. The staff and nurses that took care of me were great Especially Nurse Christine Wilkinson in labor and delivery she went above and beyond taking care of Baby and Me I love her .

My 96 year old dad was a patient on 5th floor, South Tower. At first when I was told he was going here after an issue at rehab, I was not happy. Two and a half years ago I had a terrible experience with his care. Much to my surprise, this experience was so different. Darla, the nurse leader, called me because my dad was upset because he thought he lost his glasses. After calling me she assured him that I had them. Other interactions with her were just as caring. His nurse, Yariel, was also so caring and gentle with him, since he was recovering from surgery from a broken hip. No matter what or how many questions I asked him, he took the time to answer and explain them to me. Never showed that he was being bothered or annoyed. Lastly, the aide, Fam, was also so gentle and caring with him. This experience restored my faith in this hospital!!!

Recently was placed in the nicu with our little leap year baby and have had an absolute best experience and Kathy Bennett was by far the most helpful nurse, she definitely tried her hardest to keep my nerves at bay and was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed and found answers for us if she didn’t know them! When you’re a new mom and have to be in the nicu it’s rough! Also Jocelyn the nicu manager was beyond helpful especially our first night in the ER she made sure that our baby was well taken care of! So I would 10/10 recommend Oak Hill!

I am so thankful for Oak Hill taking the time to help my sister. She was in a horrible state when we arrived, and it didn’t help Spring Hill Hospital was the reason. We were able to get the proper tests done and figure out our next steps.

RN Stella in the ER was a breath of fresh air. The care she provided for my sister was amazing. Thank you so much Stella.

I forgot the doctor that was working that night. It was a woman with blonde short hair. She was so sweet and kind. Especially when previous health issues revolve around our reproductive system, it was nice having a female doctor who could relate. Thank you all so much.

Took my wife to the ER for a pretty rough little cut. Very professional and took the time to calm my wife down. She was a wreck. Extremely empathetic and reminded me of hospitals back in the day, when you were more than just profit, a number... whatever... you were a fellow human being and were treated with respect and dignity. That is just what my wife and I received from them. Now if we could find a local doctor who was the same...

I just delivered on the 23rd and I'm still in Oak Hill. This is my 3rd baby delivering here. My first baby came out blue and come to find out he had a heart condition, which resulted in open heart surgery (2017 before they had a NICU). Shakfeh advocated for my son when the Nurse Practitioner was going to send him to Trinity, and said "no, this baby is going to All Children's". I hemorrhaged with my first daughter and again this time. They had to call over the loud speaker that I was a massive transfusion/massive hemorrhage. They didn't think I was going to make it, let alone save any of my reproductive organs. He has saved my life for a 2nd time. I had major complications with bleeding and placenta previa this pregnancy. He almost had to do a hysterectomy but knew I really didn't want one. I owe him my life for everything that man has done to keep me and my children alive. I will always be grateful for him and the nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs that did everything they could to keep me alive for my babies. They genuinely care and will go above and beyond for you.

Oak Hill Hospital is my choice to get the best health care period. I've been living in Spring Hill 34 years . I have been to most of the hospitals in the area over the 34 years and have made OHH my go to hospital. There are many reasons why I come hear.To list them all would take too long , So I'll be brief. From same day procedures ,to ER visits, to major surgeries. You will receive the very best of care that you deserve from all the teams of Experience Experts they provide. I know my family is great full to OHH. I am personally great full for keeping my quality of life going through some tough surgeries over the 34 years .
