Great river to paddle board or kayak. It’s six miles upstream and is a good workout. The payoff is you can float back. It’s harder at low tide, more current. Beautiful scenery when you get to the state park. It’s like being in the middle of a jungle. You might see Manatees and lots of fish and birds.

Great little Park along the Weeki Wachee River. Busy little Park. Several businesses along the river to rent or launch your own canoe or kayak. Great way to get on to the Weeki Wachee River. There's a 3 Acre man-made Beach inside the park. Their showers available you can picnic, swim, or fish or launch a canoe or kayak or just relax on the beautiful beach and enjoy the beautiful view of the river.

Parked here to launch our SUPs. Visited during the week on a day that wasn't very hot, so parking was not a problem. (Weekends can get busy.) Fee is $10 to park for the day. Bathrooms on site. Only downside from launching here is that it is not close to the actual spring head. You probably need an entire day to paddle there and back from Roger's park because of the distance and the current is VERY strong. Otherwise, it's a great place to launch from to just enjoy the river-which is beautiful! We also came across a number of manatees with their babies not far from the park.

I have went to this river since I was a baby. I've traveled all over the USA and this is still my favorite river. The park has changed quite a bit over the years. They used to have parking attendants years and years ago, now they have a pay station. It wasn't installed so there was no fee, but no telling when it will be fixed.

I came here alone and felt safe. $10 parking. Brought my own kayak. I got to see manatees at Hospital Hole, made my day. A nice boater shared a snorkel with me so I could see under water. Incredible. My advice? Earlier the better. They open at 9. Anywhere you paddle here is beautiful.

I was skeptical because the water looked dark but it was surprisingly refreshing. The water was cold but felt amazing. There is a waterfront restaurant and you get to enjoy the music. You can kayak, boat, canoe and jet ski on the one side of the river not blocked off. The parking was decent.

Only down fall was the bathroom was a little small so we didn’t change our clothes there. Outdoor shower on side of building was a plus though.

There’s picnic tables, grills and benches.

A small swimming area, with a playground and boat ramp, great for kids if You are used to keeping an eye on them.
Clean bathroom facilities, and they even have an average tourist style restaurant, kayak rental just over the bridge with decent fresh seafood.
Parking is $10 for a 24-hour pass, so you can get two days out of it.
Another prime example of the county's doing an excellent job on their park system.

We actually put in down the road and paddled to Rogers Park because the parking is horrible at Rogers but other than that it's very nice water and cold 🥶 which was nice after paddling all that way.. Definitely going again!

Limited parking and it costs $10 for a 24 hr pass. It's be nice if they had a clipboard you could leave passes on. Has a nice kayak/canoe ramp and a boat ramp.
Playground Bathrooms and Swim Area.

Was really nice to go up the river. The current is real tho, so be ready.

Go up the river far enough and there is a snack shack that takes Tap to pay (I used my phone).

10$ parking to launch kayaks, walked bare foot in the parking lot and was ok.
Didn't stay at the park, hand launch ramp was easy and safe. Nobody broke into or damaged my truck.
A+ from me. 😀

Fun paddle, pretty easy to kayak in area. Great for swimming and cooling off. Saw a few manatees. Water is crystal clear. Only complaint, Wish there was less boat traffic. Nice to stop at The Upper Deck for a drink or bite. Also a floating hot dog stand further up the creek.

Perfect place to launch our paddle boards from for a whole day on the Weeki Wachee river. We got there as early as possible. Parking fee was $10 for a ticket for the day to park. There is a small boat launch to the right of the regular boat launching area that is made for paddle craft. Plenty of space for us to pull out and pump up our inflatable boards without being in the way of others. The bathroom facilities on location were very neat, clean and well stocked. There is also a small playground on the grounds which, I guess would help your keep kids preoccupied while you prep for a day on the water.

Nice place to put in at or just swim. A little shallow but big. The pay station is gone right now so it is free to park

Easy in and out for kayaks and SUP. Don't forget the meter to park! Fills up fast. Got there 0820 and the lot was filling up on a Saturday. A little over a 6 mile paddle to see the really clear blue water from here. Up the river is work...sweat equity. The way back to this park has good current and an easier 6 miles back... the views at miles 6 are amazing!

Good place to launch your boat, kayak or canoe. It gets full early so be aware.

This is one of the best places to go swimming in Hernando County to me. I've been going there since I was young and me and my wife and kids always come back. It's just a great place to cool off, fish, snorkel, and now they have a great playground. ONE LOVE

Great trip. Could use a little more directions near end of trip. We ended up at another park and had back track to get to correct exit.
But, the trip was gorgeous.

Great spot for swimming, or kayaking. It’s $5 to park all day long. There is also a playground and public restroom. We went kayaking for hours, the water was crystal clear and beautiful. We saw manatees and a ton of fish, got some cool videos and photos as well.
