Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill

These folks are the best. My wife was not making progress at another rehab center and I knew about Encompass so I just walked in on a Monday morning and talked to the receptionist who immediately rang up the director. The Director came out within 5 minutes and heard my story.

She advised they would do their best to get my wife into their facility but had to appeal it to the insurance carrier. One week later my wife was shipped to their facility and started making immediate progress. She had had two serious operations 6 week’s previously and had lost all abilities to walk.

These folks got the job done and my wife also had excellent nursing care. Within three weeks she was walking in a walker. Their rehab folks are very encouraging and go getters. Wife has been home now for 6 weeks and is improving daily. I liked the fact that they assigned her to two rehab therapists so she felt obligated to participate in her own rehab.

The reason is I thought it was wonderfor the therapists and doctors t you up and moving every day whether you wanted to or not.
It was a great experience. Which helped my healing and disposition greatly. I can't say enough about all the staff.
They wer fantastic! I greatly appreciate everything they did for me! If you need to go to a rehab center this is the place to go!

The staff at Encompass were great. They went out of there way to make sure I was taken care of. I had a blast joking with the staff. I even told them that my next vacation was going to be there. I can't say Thank You enough for such a great staff. I hope they have something similar for when I go back to Illinois.

My mom was admitted directly from the hospital after a fall. If your insurance declines the first request, fight to get your loved one here. Mom fractured her hip, pelvis, neck and was home scooting around in a wheel chair within 2 weeks. She’s 85! From the front desk to the aids to the cleaning staff and all the medical personnel there is nothing but positivity and kindness. The facility is spotless and mom loved the food. Alex in PT was exceptional!! He explained everything to our family, and is extremely knowledgeable and caring. The same is said for Jessica Nicholson, Case Manager, who helped to arrange all the home health services. Thank you all💜

I absolutely would recommend Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill (“Healthsouth”) without reservation. My 87 year old mother was at Oak Hill Hospital and needed inpatient rehabilitation services (physical and occupational) before returning home. I researched not only Healthsouth but the other rehabilitation facilities in the Spring Hill area. In making the decision I would give this advice to anyone else needing to make a similar decision:
• Know the difference between a Rehabilitation Hospital (e.g. Healthsouth) and a Skilled Nursing Facility (Spring Hill Health and Rehabilitation). The care provided at these two different kinds of facilities is VERY different. Healthsouth’s sole focus is on rehabilitation, generally 3 hours per day for 5 days each week. No one stays and lives at their facility long term. This is not the case of a Skilled Nursing Facility (basically a long term care/nursing home that also provides rehabilitation services at a much lower level).
• Know that if the patient is covered under Medicare they have the right to choose the rehabilitation facility they want to go to—assuming, in the case of Medicare Advantage plans, that the facility is covered by the patient’s insurance.
• Go visit the facilities you are considering. One visit and I was convinced Healthsouth was the place for my Mom to receive the best care. A bright, upbeat, cheery environment with patients and staff engaged and enjoying their therapy sessions. The size of the gym speaks for itself…so many different exercise machines, equipment, tools, games, aids, etc. to stimulate and keep the patients’ engaged and interested in their own therapy.
• Know that Oak Hill Hospital's physicians, employed by Access Health, will try every way possible to direct you to a facility other than Healthsouth, specifically to a facility serviced also by Access Health physicians. Don’t fall for the rationale and excuses they will give you as to why your family member should not be going to Healthsouth. Be strong. Be your loved one’s advocate to ensure they go to the proper facility that will give them the best care. You may be told "no" several times but don't give up.
After two weeks my Mom is going home tomorrow. She is so pleased and happy with the care, professionalism, respect, empathy, and focused attention she has received while a patient at Healthsouth. Thank you to the entire staff….an outstanding job to be commended!!!

The Best RE-HAB around. My Mom fractured her hip, pelvis and C1 and C2. Thank God for Encompass and the wonderful Dr. and people who work there. She wouldn't be home now if it wasn't for them. Shout out to Alex in PT. My mother loved working with you. You got her home to us and we will always be grateful. I wish I could give more then 5 stars. Everyone went above and beyond.

I broke both my arms and was unable to do anything for myself. Austin PT, Charlene OT,
and the entire staff in PT were absolutely amazing, upbeat, professional and wonderful. They really care about you and want to do everything they can to help you. Thank you so much!!

This hospital is awesome!!! The staff is top notch! All of the nursing staff was so nice to my Mom. They are genuine caring and compassionate care givers. Her physician was outstanding! She visited her every day and made sure she was well cared for. The Therapy department is just as outstanding! They were able to get my Mom walking again after an illness and hospitalization. The receptionist at the front desk is the most friendly and welcoming. She’ll put a smile on your face everyday! And don’t let me forget to say thanks to some of the behind the scenes staff that likely don’t get credit for their contributions as well. Cleaning staff, pharmacy, etc. this place is very clean and well maintained. I spent a lot of time with my Mom and the staff always treated me so well also. Always acknowledged me and asked if there was anything they could do for me. I have such high respect and would recommend anyone needing rehabilitation to go there.

Observed excellent treatment of patients and response to therapy. The nursing and therapy staff are amazing and the patients are always highly motivated.

After breaking my tibia plateau and my fibia, It was recommended that I go to Encompass for rehab. It was the best decision that I have made for my health in a very, long time. They treat you with compassion, respect, dignity, and care. From the minute I was wheeled in, I was welcomed to the center and I was very well taken care of. Every employee in every department helped me to become independent and well enough to go home. If I had any problems or issues with my health, it was addressed immediately. The encouragement to help myself and get better was so uplifting. These wonderful, caring people are not here just for a paycheck...they are here for each and every one of us that need them! I couldn't begin to single out who helped me the most because they all did! If you are looking for a place to rehab, THIS is the BEST I have ever seen and been in. Thank you so much!!

Wow what a place. I keep calling it a The Ritz of Rehab when I refer to this well run place. I did not know what to think In having to go here after my craniotomy in Feb. I was shocked how clean and organized the facility was compared to what I was thinking it may be. The staff were wonderful and compassionate and attentive. The OT and PT staff pushed me to want me to get better and helped me every step of the way….literally. Eva and Natalie were instrumental in my 2 week stay there. I can’t thank them enough as I’m doing really well now. Dr Torne was so wonderful to me I felt very cared for and in great hands. If I had to go back would not think twice for me or a family member to recommend here. Every single staff member was professional and knew there job well. This comes from great management no doubt. Can’t thank all enough.

I was sent to Encompass after suffering a stroke. The doctors and nurses were amazing and I was treated warmly by the therapists while I was there. Everyone there made a frightening event easier to handle and I can't thank them enough for the wonderful care I received.

I was a patient at this facility, when I entered as an in patient I was scared, didn't know what was ahead.
I had had several back surgeries so, things weren't easy already plus had strokes before & brought back all but fine motivation.
This facility was amazing,the nurse's were great.
The staff fantastic, Doctors were great,Dr.T will help if you have a problem, he's great.
ALL the therapy staff was great Anna was my angel with my neck in patient,Then Marcel I had she was great.
Then I became out patient , Dr Monday, Heather, and Brigette you were great,if I ever need to have rehab or therapy again I will be back to you & hope Mr. Owen let's me .

I was very impressed by the professional staff at this rehab hospital. I had back surgery and the staff here helped with my recovery. The nurses aids, cleaning staff, dietitians, nurses, physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists and assistants, and doctors were really good. They were knowledgeable, professional, and really helped my recovery. Also, food at the hospital was restaurant quality. I hope you don't have to need rehab, but if you do, this is a good place to be.

My mother has received very good care at Encompass. The nurses and aides were very responsive to any requests or questions we had. Dr. Torne is wonderful. The PT and OT staff do a great job. Laura, the OT, was especially kind and helpful to mom. Mom’s case manager Jennifer provided much support and direction and I am grateful for her suggestions as we made the transition to assisted living.

I spent about 17 days here after a below the knee amputation. The staff is wonderful, all of them the medical staff and their support workers and the therapy staff and the admin staff. Also the food is pretty good I only had one meal that I looked at and said no. What is that? Anyway after my stay here I was so much stronger and able to do more for myself than I thought I would. They gave me the confidence I needed to adjust. Would definitely recommend.

After open heart surgery I went to HealthSouth Rehab. I was really impressed with the staff's knoledge and how well they work as a team to get whatever task that needs to be done, completed quickly. At first I needed to be adjusted often which was done in a caring way, with a smile. The therapist were really great. They help me set goals and meet them, and were not afraid of doing a little extra.

Myself and my Admissions Director could not have had a more seamless transition today ! Working with Danielle in case management at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital . She was so thorough, responded quickly to our requests and professional during the entire process. I will definitely utilize her services in the future . An asset to her team.

This place has been a blessing to me. All the staff has been so helpful and wonderful. I have no complaints about this place. They have done so much for me. I am a type 1 diabetic and they have stayed on top of my bloodsugars and insulin since the day I came in for my hip fracture. The only thing that I dont like is your only allowed to stay for up to 3 weeks. Im going home after 2 but they can't do much more for me as I am non weight baring until at least the end of February per orthopedic dr.

This was my fist visit to a rehab where I did not know what to expect. Spent a week in this facility due to a MS relapse that affected my arms and legs. Nurses, RN techs, therapist, Dr, and back office employees were wonderful and made me feel very relaxed and accommodating to my needs and disability. I would recommend this hospital/rehab to everyone 100%.
